*Alosia is an acronym that Dodie Clark made up and it stands for 'A Lot Of Songs In August' but I thought it was a cool name and I wish I was creative enough to make it up myself.
IT WAS ODD, strange; no one has ever seen anything like it. It has never been done and they all looked to be some type of foreign beasts. Well, some of them. They were what looked to be aliens from another planet or walking golden statues. Everyone stared at them.
The five girls from Miss Sarah's School for Young Ladies. They were visiting Carter Prep, a school for boys. They've never had any females step on school grounds unless the female was related to a teacher, administrator, or faculty.
Carter Prep's headmaster had spoken to the headmistress of the infamous all-girls' school. The two had spoken and come to an agreement on how they will change their ways. Ever since the two schools had started they were for their respective genders. Everyone thought that the times should change; so in order to do so they would exchange students, one hundred of them to be exact.
They each chose their smallest dormitory, which houses one hundred, and switched them. They negotiated that they would each start with one hundred and then move more in the future, if all goes well.
This was the day that all of the knew girls had come and were currently sitting in the auditorium under the presence of the headmaster. They were getting standard rules and regulations of the school, standard procedure for any new student. Whilst doing so the headmaster, an older fellow with thinning hair, began walking around to see the young girls with his hands behind his back.
One of the many things the young ladies were taught was how to be a, well, young lady. Proper etiquette and manners...when being viewed by the teachers. Otherwise, they acted as any other person; not total pigs, but certainly not the most pristine people.
What the girls or headmaster didn't know was that about everyone on this hall was outside of the auditorium doors listening to whatever they had to say. There was one group of girls who sat in the third row closet to the front. The group consisted of some of the most elite girls of Miss Sarah's School for Young Ladies.
Here's who made the group what I is:
Amber Calla: smartest girl of the group. She came from a rich family whose goal was to have some sort of Calla blood attend the most pristine girls school in England.
Cara Barrette: She got in for her exemplary cello playing. She was quiet and didn't make too much noise. The girl always follows rules and followed her five friends, never would she do anything without the guidance of Lo.
Alexanderia Chembers: She was the only one out of the group who you would see with a pack of cigarettes hidden on her person. She once hid them in her hair so she could smoke during gym class. Oh, and she was the oldest. Her parents came from Egypt.
Marta McClain: You could usually find her on a skateboard somewhere. She was also on the lacrosse team, her and Lo loved sports. She was Indian, and just for that her parents nearly broke their legs jumping for joy at the information that she would be attending a school where Adalaine would be the headmistress of.
Alosia Jules: She was the leader of the four girls. She knew of her power and never took it for granted. It's not like she's done any of this on purpose, it was just how it was. She was also on the football team. She met Amber when she fell down the school steps. She smashed Marta's skateboard before. She asked Alex for a pencil once. Amber used to tutor her. And she liked listening to Cara's cello songs. She was Alosia.
The five girls all listened quietly as the elder man spoke. They all could get pretty wild if provoked to, but they often stayed quiet and drew no attention to themselves; they would so later on.
The girls listened respectfully with their heads held high and their throats dry from the lack of movements. The boys on the other side of the door where crouched low with only few of them with their heads pressed to the door. When the assembly was over each girl was placed into a room and proceeded to go to the door with thief respective numbers on them. All except five. Alosia and her friends were all going into the headmaster's office to get their activities and extracurriculars put together.
Alosia wanted to be in football, Marta in lacrosse, Amber in Mathletes, and that was about it. The rest of them were there to discuss behavioral records. Like what was said before, they only acted out if they needed to, it was mostly under the radar. This was taken down on paper, but never was known as an issue. You see, Alosia liked trouble, she also liked to get out of it. Just like a certain boy that would be introduced to us on a later date.
That boy was on other side of the headmaster's door with his ear pressed against the door along with his friends. The two groups were all quiet and listening to what the headmaster has to say until the boy closest to the door moved his hand towards the doorknob and held it. Well, he was until his hand slipped and the combined weight of all five boys made the door collapse in and into the headmaster's office.
The six people from the inside snapped their heads towards the commotion. After a few seconds of getting themselves together the boys looked at the sight in front of them. Menacing stares came at their direction as the headmaster stood up abruptly. Soon, he calmed down and sighed with his hands behind his back.
"And this is our resident star athlete and troublemaker," he informed the girls who looked at the boys who laid on top of one another, "why is it that you have showed disrespect to these lovely young women and I, Mr.Wolfhard?"
The boy who actually laid on the floor pushed his friend off of him and straightened his clothes out to the best of his ability. He looked at his friends who gradually licked themselves off of the floor then to the girls.
"You see sir," the boy began, "my comrades and I noticed that once these beautiful young women made it to your office then they won't be able to get back to Dylan's Hall and it's the farthest dormitory. So, we were just trying to do good to Carter Prep by being gentlemen to these...precious gems. Oh and we also would want to overwork you, sir." The boy rambled and stalked over to the girls, grabbing Alosia's hand to bring it to his plump, pink lips and kiss it gingerly.
Her fingers weren't the softest and his weren't the warmest, yet they smile at one another. The other girls looked at the boy strangely as they had never seen anyone be so kind to Alosia and her take to them well. She wasn't a people person.
"Alright, keep your distance," the elder pushed the curly-haired boy away from the young lady, "you overwork me everyday, Mr.Wolfhard, but very well. You may escort the young ladies to their dormitory rooms."
With that the ten children exited the office that would soon become an accustomed area and walked towards Dylan's Hall on the south quarter of campus. The air was nearly quiet, besides banter coming from Mr.Wolfhard and Alosia.
This is where the chaos began.
