Lounging around in your couch, it was a relaxing day for a pro-hero like you. It was your day-off. It was finally your time to binge-watch all those episodes you wanted to watch or so you thought.
The doorbell suddenly rang. You opened the door and you were greeted by Bakugo's manager. Having to work with the extreme hero for a few times, you've met and already befriended his manager.
He wasn't alone though. He had a cat, an angry-looking cat at that. You didn't think it was possible for a cat to look so hostile. Even though you were quite acquainted with the feline species, you were scared of this one.
"Uhm, what can I help you with? Would you like to come in?" You tried your best to be polite but you felt the cat was just staring holes into your soul. It seemed like a very familiar feeling though.
Before even getting a chance to reply, you cut the man to the chase, "I don't think I have a cure for a cat this wrathful-looking. It feels like Bakugo possessed this cat or something."
The cat gnarled at you and gace you a glare. The manager smiled at you which made you worry a little bit of what she was going to say. "Nah, Y/n-san, this cat isn't possessed by Bakugo-san. It's actually Bakugou-san himself."
You stared at her in disbelief as you let the information process in your brain. She soon explained how the pro-cat, uhm, pro-hero got in this situation. Unsurprisingly, it was a villain attack.
He had managed to defeat the villain but was unlucky to get hit by the enemy's quirk. It was found out that Bakugou would only be able to turn back only after a month. The agency needed someone to take care of him in this form.
Fortunately for them, you were a friend, meaning you were one of those who could tolerate his anger issues, of the blonde hero. You also could understand cats much better than most humans.
The reason for that was your quirk. It let you had cat-like abilities along with the iconic ears and tail. You couldn't refuse the manager because it was much better for another hero to take this task on.
Civilians like his parents aren't supposed to get mingled in this. The manager left you with the white furious cat as she set off to go home, feeling a weight lifted off her chest. It was a good thing you live alone so nobody could complain about you having a pet.
You took the cat food from your cupboard and gave some to your new pet. You always had cat food in your stocks because it really isn't the first time someone asked you to take care of the cat.
It was your first time handling a catified person though. Maybe you had done something so bad in your past life because you really weren't fond of taking care of a cat grenade exploding every minute.
You sighed as he snarled at you and squinted as you try to feed him. "Oi Bakugo, eat that shit for now, I ain't got fancy tuna right now, okay?" He just scoffed at you and you shook your head.
You didn't know if you were dealing with a cat, a child, or a grown man with a rotten personality right now, probably a mix of all, which was not good. "You're going to starve if you don't eat!"
You paused for a second to think. You then remembered that you still had some milk left in the fridge. "Fine, if you don't want cat food, how 'bout some milk." He meowed at you agreeing angrily.
You give him some mAalk and went to watch some of those episodes you were planning to. He suddenly meowed loudly clearly, not liking what you were watching. You stopped the episode after getting too annoyed.
"What the hell?! Let me watch, Baku-, hmm." You thought it was weird to call him Bakugo while he was a cat. Bakugo just wasn't a cat's name. Your face suddenly lit up as you thought of a great idea.
"Hey, since it's strange to have a cat named Bakugo, I'll call you Cat-suki instead." You laughed at your own pun. He was clearly not pleased by this development. "Meow." Clearly the feline said no.
Of course you wouldn't accept that. "Hmm... Is that a yes I hear? I can only vaguely understand meow-nguage after all." You again chuckled at your terrible pun as he was giving you a death glare.
For the first few days, he was a complete hostile cat. To compare him to a normal cat, his reactions were always that of a cat whenever somebody forced it into water.
Trying to feed him? hiss. Getting home from work? turn his head away as if saying not seeing you. Someone visiting and trying to coo at him? Oh, they better learn know how to run fast.
It was the worst when you tried to pet him, he would scratch you every time. You didn't know how many bandages you've used up. After a few more days of trying to pet him while not budging a little bit, he finally gave in.
You trimmed his claws when he was sleeping. Thank God that he wasn't a light sleeper and you're an expert in trimming claws. You didn't stop petting him the next day and he couldn't do anything about it.
Next thing you knew, he loved it when you petted him. He couldn't get enough of it. There were times that he would look a tad bit disappointed if you stopped all of a sudden.
After a whole week, you were coming home much later in the night because villain activity was rising up again. It was due to the fact that Deku was in the States while Ground Zero was a cat living in your house.
Of course the guy would be guilty seeing you all tattered up. He'd curse a lot in his meow-nguage whenever you get home. You would only shake your head at him and smile to tell him that it was fine.
You two had grown close to each other for the past week. You've already memorize all his gestures and his meows. Both of you could perfectly understand what the other was thinking, regardless of the species.
The night that marked 2 weeks Cat-suki was given to you, he turned into a half-human and half-cat. The transformation happened at night and so you didn't really see it happening.
Being a person and cat that was accustomed to sleeping at least nine hours a day, his mind didn't comprehend that he transformed. He reckoned it was only but a dream. He got out of his little bed and went in to yours.
You slept on one side of the bed even though it was a little too big for one person because you were used to having sibling sleep beside you. So, there was sufficient space for him there.
The next morning came. You blinked your eyes three times and even rubbed them to make sure you weren't hallucinating. You were now face to face with a peaceful Cat-suki.
Although, he wasn't really a full cat anymore, only a half, just like you. His face really looked peaceful while sleeping, you never really thought that he could make that kind of face. You reckoned it was against the laws of nature.
You theorized that he was always angry even when he was asleep. You didn't notice one major detail until you shook him to wake him up. He opens his eyes and you both realize that he was naked.
"AHH!! PUT SOME CLOTHES ON, CATSUKI!!" You blushed after realizing that you called him by his first name out of habit when he was a full cat. He didn't really seem to mind though.
"Meow meow, meow meow meowwW meow meow Meoow?!" Translation: "Woman, did you think I brought clothes as a cat when I was dragged here?!"
You both widened your eyes. It seemed that he couldn't speak the language. "MeOW!" He curses as glares at thin air. "Hey Catsuki, it's okay. Maybe you got your powers back?"
He suddenly lights up and smirks. He tries to make some little explosions in his hands but he turns back into a full cat instead. Quickly redoing the action, he changed back in to his half-neko form.
His ears suddenly drooped down as he glared at his own hand for not being able to make an explosion. "Oi, Catsuki, it's fine. The heroes will be able to handle themselves well. Don't take us lightly."
You got him the biggest oversized shirt you had in your closet and the baggiest pants, at least it was for you. After he got dressed, he paced in your whole house restlessly. He was also constantly changing between cat and half-human form.
After a few minutes of you getting dizzy with him, you decided to stop him. He was in his half-human from so it was a bit hard to halt to him. He shot a hostile look towards you when you got close to him.
You had an ace up on your sleeve. Since his body was a little bit like yours, you could pint out some of his weaknesses. You smirked as you grabbed his tail and squeezed it as hard as you can.
He mewled loudly. He blushed shocked at the fact he made that kind of sound. While his resistance was low, you led him to the couch and sat him down. You reached for his hair which resulted in him swatting your arm.
"Oh c'mon Catsuki, I'm not going through this again! It's just going to help you calm down a little!" He crossed his arms and was about to get up. To stop him from retaliating again, you grabbed his tail and pulled him down.
You sat on his lap to make your weight keep him sat down. Of course, you were practically weightless to him but he wouldn't dare move because of your position right now.
You raised your eyebrow at his flushed face not comprehending that your position right now was very suggestive. You patted his hair and you observe him going from tense to relaxed.
You smiled as you successfully kept patting his hair without complaints from him. He suddenly purred causing his face to turn into an apple. He tried to lift you up and get away from you but you held your ground.
"It's fine! It's not like I haven't heard you purr before!!" Forgetting that he couldn't talk your language he ranted off. "Meow meow Meow MeOw MEow mEoW. Meow, meow Meow meOw meoW."
Translation: "But I was a cat before, you damned woman. Plus, it's already been two weeks since I'm absent on the job."
You rolled your eyes. "I know you were a literal cat but still! Just keep still! Stop worrying! Pro-heroes like me can handle their jobs!" You flicked his head and started to pat his head again.
Remembering your position which you still didn't realize, he kept steady again and let you pat his head. After a few days, Catsuki was growing accustomed to your house. He would be lounging around in his preferred form.
When he slept, he kept on his cat form, so it would be much easier for the both of you. A couple of your friends that were informed visited you to check up on Catsuki. He wasn't happy about that though.
Whenever someone would come, he'd keep his cat form embarrassed of his half-cat, half-human form and scratch or hiss at them. This one time Kirishima decided to check up on Catsuki.
Going on the usual routine, the hot-headed cat acted up on him. Since, he was persistent, he ended getting scratched deeply a few times. You sighed as you get out your first aid kit.
You cleaned the wounds and put some antiseptic on it. You really needed to buy more of those. You kept looking at Kirishima to make sure that you didn't press on too hard. It was a normal act when treating someone.
To a nearby cat, it didn't look like the way it seemed. To him, he thought that you were glancing up on his best friend just to admire the guy's features. He didn't know why but he was irritated.
Knowing that Kirishima had a crush on you when you were still in UA didn't help. The red-haired hero had already gotten over it but Catsuki was beginning to suspect that he didn't.
In his eyes, he could see him just looking at you intently while you worked. The guy only looked at you intently because the medicine was stinging. He didn't know why he didn't activate his quirk earlier. He could be a bit dense at times.
Catsuki was having enough of it and jumped on the table you were working on. His hairs puffed up as he glared at Kirishima. You gave the feline a strange look but went back on treating the wounds.
The cat meowed angrily this time. Kirishima raised an eyebrow as he pieced it together. He laughed and this time he was the one getting a strange look from you. He petted Catsuki with his other hand making sure to use his quirk this time around.
"Don't worry, I ain't stealing your girl, bro." You didn't know how it was possible for a cat but yours and Catsuki's face blew up into a crimson color. "Meow!? Meow meow moew MEoW!"
Translation: "Hah?! She's not my girl!" You nodded agreeing with Catsuki. "Yeah, Im not owned by anyone." You looked away blushing at the thought of you and the blond hero together.
Sure, he had undeniably toxic anger issues but if you get past that, he does care for people close to him and the citizens of Japan. The fact of you having a tiny crush on him since high school was also not helping.
Kirishima then smiled at you innocently. "Then Y/n-chan, would you like to gout for some coffee some day?" As if not blushing enough for the day, your face could now put his hair in shame.
Knowing what Catsuki would do, he activated his quirk. It was just in time for the feline to pounce on him and try to assault him. "MEOW MEOW MEOW, MEOWMEOW MEOW!"
Translation: "GO TO HELL, SHITTY HAIR!" Seeing that his scratches weren't damaging his best friend, he transformed into his half-half form. Kirishima widened his eyes as he was being pushed to the front door.
"Wait!" An angry meow was only heard from catsuki as he kept on forcing the other to walk. "Thanks for letting me visit, Y/n-chan! Take-care of Bakugo for me! Also my offer on the coffee wasn't a farc-"
He wasn't able to finish his sentence as the front door closed. Catsuki went back to the living room as cat and acted like that didn't just happen. He really didn't know why he had the urge to protect you even if you were only living together for only two weeks.
One night, you were really down due to an unsuccessful villain capture from work. He tried to comfort you like how you did to him. He climbed your head as a cat and patted your hair.
Understanding his action, you thanked him. Realizing that it wasn't really helping you that much he changed into his half-half form. He looked away and started patting your head.
You smiled as you ease into his hand. You suddenly purred and looked away from him with a tint of red adorning your cheeks. He smirked at you and kept petting you not stopping 'til he wanted to do so.
A couple more days and he was back in business, no more ears, tail and meowing. "Thanks for the lot I guess." He quietly thanked you causing you to almost not hear it, good thing you had animal hearing though.
You giggled. "Sure thing, Cat-Bakugo, try not to get turned into a cat again, kay? I might just keep you forever if you do." You half-meant the joke not expecting for his reply. "I wouldn't mind that at all."
He muttered it under his breath and you weren't sure if you even heard it correctly. "What? Didn't hear you, could you say that again?" You decided to feign not hearing what he said.
"Nothing Neko Woman, I said you could call me with my first name, instead of that nickname. Doesn't mean anything though." You saw him having a faint blush as he walked out of your door.
"Yay!! Thanks, Katsuki!!" You waved at him bidding your good by while he turned away from you. "Don't yell, Neko Woman!" You shook your head sine he was yelling himself.
This month was an experience both of you will never forget.
