Katsuki Bakugo X Suicidal Reader
A/N: This is a request and a bit angsty no actual death though
----------------------------------------------------
Opening your eyes every morning was a chore. Getting up and out of bed was a chore. Forcing yourself to at least brush your teeth was a chore. You would stare in the mirror figuring if it was worth actually washing up or showering. Wondering if it will all be in vain since today could have been your last. You had a lot of doubts but, in the end you would force yourself to clean in order to avoid questions. You didn't like to worry the others when you weren't even worth being worried over. Especially Katsuki. Who knew how the explosive boy would act if he found out your intrusive thoughts were becoming harder and harder to ignore? Would he care? No, no he wouldn't. He would be happy that you were no longer in his way of becoming number 1. You were another extra that he won't have to worry about crossing path's with anymore. He already had Deku and Shoto to worry about he didn't need someone who was useless. You sighed staring at your reflection. You were ugly. Hideous. A shell of what and who you used to be. No one even bothered to notice. No one never bothered to check up on you to see if you ate, to see if you slept, to see if you need help with anything. You had to watch as everyone in your class get help, get invited to hang out and everything else in between. You had to watch from the sidelines as everyone went on about their life not caring about you. You thought you was part of the family? Class 2-A was supposed to be one big family that bonded through trauma and villains trying to kill them? What happened to that? You thought family meant no one got left behind? Then why were you falling more and more behind? Your grades were dropping, training was sloppy, sparring was cut short, you didn't attend lunch anymore, parents didn't even bother as they traveled for work. You had no one. You didn't have a friend, a close friend or even a partner. No one. Absolutely no one. Maybe you should leave this place. No one will miss you. Your funeral will be empty and you'll just be doing everyone a favor anyway. Aizawa can fill in the space with another suitable student from either the general, support or even business classes. Your parents can adopt or even be free from the burden of being parents. Classmates can officially forget about you- they were on that path anyway so why not help them with a little push? For the first time in what felt like years you looked at your sorry reflection with a smile. You finally made a choice. You were going to leave. Tonight. You'll go through classes like normal and when you come back, pack up as much stuff as you can, then go down to eat dinner and slip back upstairs to finish boxing everything. Clean the dorm and, put it back to the way it was. You'll stack your boxes in the corner for Aizawa to find easily and at 11PM when everyone was in their dorms cause of curfew you'll go up to the roof with your phone to send your final goodbyes. By the time any of them get here you'll be a blood stain on the pavement. Simple. With the plan in mind you felt happy, lighter. You were up at 4 since you couldn't sleep. Sleep was irrelevant now. You took your best smelling shampoo, conditioner and body wash heading straight towards the showers. Classes didn't start until 8 and since it was 6 no one should be up necessarily. Right before you entered the shower's you passed a surprised Midoriya and Bakugo. Right, they always got up early to train before classes. Over-achievers. "Morning Zuzu and Bakugo." They both looked at you weirdly
"L-L/N! What are you doing up so early?" He probably was wondering why the freak was addressing him but, he didn't have to worry about that anymore. The freak will be gone and soon nothing but a whisper or a rumor amongst students.
"Oh you know, I couldn't sleep so decided to get ahead of the game today." You nodded towards Bakugo who said nothing but, followed you all the way to the showers. So strange. He never looked at you for more than two seconds unless it was absolutely necessary. You took your time cleaning everything and washing your hair. You stepped out fixing your hair to the best of your ability making it tamable. Smiling at your reflection you went to your dorm and put everything in the dirty clothes tying up the bag. Nothing dirty was going to go back in the bag so you put in the designated corner. You put concealer for the under eye bags to avoid nosy questions. They weren't genuine. Those fake looks of concerns, it was all pretend. They didn't truly care. You took a deep breath settling your nerves. You weren't going to be rattled today. It was going to be a good day. Your last day. Everything was going to go perfectly, smoothly. You had nothing to worry about. Checking the time you saw you had 15 minutes before going downstairs for some breakfast so you packed up all your used makeup in bags and everything unused you decided to give it to Mina or Ochako, they loved makeup. You smiled again and left the dorm heading to Mina's and Ochako's who were next to each other on the other floor. You had split the makeup evenly and left the two baskets in front of their doors respectively. You knocked on both before bolting downstairs so they won't catch you. Best to avoid as many questions as possible. Once downstairs half the class was already there so you greeted them all. They looked surprised but, spoke back. Probably surprised the class ghost spoke. Hah. It's fine they don't have to worry about a ghost taking space after today. You went to the kitchen making a smoothie humming a bit to yourself turning at a tap on your shoulder.
"You're awfully happy this morning, any good news?" You hummed thinking about how you can leave this god forsaken planet tonight and decided that yeah. It was good news.
"You can say that." Kirishima was pleased with the answer heading back to the designated bakusquad. You turned to see Denki trudging in and, that's when you remembered he wanted a smoothie for the last two days that no one made for him. Being nice you served two servings of what you made and headed towards him sliding it across the table
"What's this? OH, A SMOOTHIE!" He got instantly chipper making you smile. "Thanks L/N! You're the best!" You grinned looking over everyone noticing once again that Bakugo was looking at you weirdly again. You turned back to the common room greeting everyone else. It was 7:45 when you left the dorms with the class in tow towards U.A. Usually everyone left at their own pace but, for some reason everyone was lively and, you were surprisingly dragged into conversations you normally never took part in. So far today was a good day, a beautiful day. Everyone got to class on time surprising Aizawa who wasted no time in going into the lesson. The classes flew by and all of your teachers gave you a compliment as well. You even beat a few people in sparring! It was amazing. Everything was going according to plan. During lunch everyone sat together and had you talking, the girls even paired with you to go to the bathroom! Normally you were by yourself but for some reason they didn't want to stop their conversations in case they forgot with you. Everything was working. The only thing different was that Bakugo was a lot closer than normal. He usually didn't give two shits about you but, today he was like your shadow. Every time you turned to look at him he was already looking at you. You would grin and wave despite no reaction from him. That's fine. You wouldn't be a hindrance to his growth for much longer. You just had to finish the rest of classes, talk some more and eat dinner. That's exactly what you did too. You finished classes and, walked back in a group. Funny how God works. Did he want to grant you with one day of kindness before committing the ultimate sin? One you couldn't repent? Was this him mocking you? No, he wouldn't. God doesn't make a mockery. You made it back to the dorms excusing yourself despite the pleading. Weird. They never pleaded for your company. They always pretended you didn't exist. This put a little wrench in your plan but, you knew how to move fast and work efficiently. You promised to come back in an hour for studying and games. You quickly made it to the dorm locking the door and working diligently. You packed up all your clothes except for some pretty pajamas. More like a pair of pajama pants and a random t-shirt but, whatever. You cleared out all your drawers, all the junk from underneath the bed and whatever literal garbage you had you packed up to throw out. In exactly one hour you had your room cleaned to the tee. It looked exactly how it was right before you moved in. All your stuff was packed in the corner. Satisfied you pocketed your phone, putting your book bag on and taking the garbage out. You exited the room locking it but, yelping when you came face to face with Bakugo
"Bakugo! Shit, you scared me!" You dropped a bag of garbage in your fright. Bakugo picked it up for you snatching the other bag out your hand still scrutinizing you. "Oh, uh, thank you." You smiled tentatively at him
"I don't know what the hell is the matter with you but, I'm going to find out." He looked you up and down "Don't touch nothing the shitty extra's made, I got food for you that you will fucking eat. Go." He didn't move until you walked ahead of him and not long before you were joined by the squad.
"Bakubro made some delicious food!"
"It's not for you dunce face." Denki turned still holding you to blow a raspberry at him
"He's no fun but seriously though, let's all work together after we eat. I can't fail math, Ecto sensei is going to kill me." You giggled at the irony of that statement. Continuing the conversation with Bakugo trailing you made it to the common room where everyone was. Even Shoji. As soon as food was passed around conversation struck up. Everything was so surreal. Everyone kept including you in the conversation, touching you whenever you space out and even cuddling! What was this? Why couldn't they do this before today?
"Hey Y/N you know we care right?" Jumping you turned to see Asui staring at you. She was so blunt "We all do, kero." You almost lost your smile but you stopped it. Not today. You were going to keep a smile on today.
"Thanks Tsu." You noticed a few others staring at you with unreadable expressions before the spell was broken. You spent the rest of the evening studying and then playing a couple games. Everyone had to be in bed by 11 so since it was 8 the whole class- even Bakugo and Tenya who grudged about their bed time at first but, were promptly ignored- watched a movie. Finally at 10 ish Aizawa kicked everyone out having you stay behind. You waited confused as to what he wanted before jumping at the feel of arms around your shoulders
"I don't tell you enough but, you're doing good. You're doing the best you can and that's all I ask of you." He squeezed a bit urging you to hug him back. You did but, your heart was pumping hard that you heard it in your ears. This was not supposed to happen dammit. They weren't supposed to make you feel guilty about what you were about to do. That wasn't fair. This wasn't fair. "Get some sleep, I want to talk to you tomorrow about something else." You almost chuckled at that. As if you'll even see tomorrow.
"Yeah...tomorrow, heh, take care sensei. You really are the best teacher I've ever had." Before you said too much you smiled at him one last time and scurried to your dorm. You made it just in time for the tears. This wasn't supposed to happen. They were making you feel guilty. That wasn't right, they ignored you the whole time but why was today different? Why did they have to treat you liked you belong? They made everything difficult for no reason. You started breathing heavily about to go in a panic but, you practiced your breathing techniques to calm yourself. You needed a clear conscience. After calming down you turned on your phone to see that it was 10:30. You would give everyone time to settle for about an hour and 15 minutes. That was more than enough time for you to write notes to everyone including Aizawa. Your room was bare, all your stuff including your book-bag in the corner looking every so often as you type away in your notes. You had something special and unique for everyone, even Hitoshi. You called everyone by their first name since it will be the last time you'll ever get to say it. You had to keep wiping your tears from your screen. Why were you like this? Why were you crying? You were so happy this morning and now you were having second thoughts? Why? Cause of false kindness? Because they gave you everything you have ever wanted today? Of all days? You shook your head feeling yourself losing it. You needed to do this. You had finished writing everything glancing at the time to read 11:45. Perfect. You got up off the bare bed opening the door silently looking up and down the hallways. No one in sight. Quietly, you left your dorm closing the door behind you and walking to the roof. The roof was left unlocked at night and locked during the day. You opened the door softly closing it just as softly behind you. You walked up the stairs opening the final door and closing it back slowly but, not all the way. It wasn't cold, it was a nice night, full moon out. You felt like you were going to cry again so you didn't bother to stop it. Glancing down at your phone again you took the time to send all the messages out to everyone each of varying lengths. The longest being to Aizawa and the dekusquad and bakusquad. They were the nicest to you out of everyone today so they deserved your most heartfelt confessions. You put your phone down ignoring the instant buzzing. Damn. You didn't expect them to be up. You were going to have to get this over with then. You walked to the edge looking over. It really was a pretty view. At least this was going to be your last view. You stood up on the edge looking down and was about to take that final step when-
"Y/N NO!" You jumped having to catch yourself on one of the safety poles to keep from falling. Shit. SHIT. You turned to see Bakugo looking frantic. Hair was a mess, pajamas in disarray, eyes blown wide and breathing heavily. He looked scared. "Shit, fuck, please move. please." He stopped away from you trying to debate whether or not he should come near you. His eyes never left yours.
"Why do you care?" This wasn't fair, he wasn't supposed to make you second guess. You were just supposed to jump. "No one cares about me. No one never gave a damn. I was always alone." You were crying and couldn't get much out. Why was he making this difficult?
"FUCK! I ALWAYS CARED!" Your eyes widen at the outburst "I know I'm a shitty person, I know I'm stubborn I know I'm an asshole. I know. But dammit Y/N, I care. please. I am begging you to let me show you. please. I'll be better. we all will be better. We all will do right by you." During his speech he was walking slowly towards you, you not moving an inch. You watched as he stopped right in front of you and wrapped a hand around your leg. "You want to fall, right?" His eyes were wet with unshed tears. That was a first. "Then fall." He held out his other arm and you did just as he said. You fell.
