Bakugou and you hadn't been dating for long, maybe only a month or so. But still, it was the most exciting month of your life.

Bakugou was your first true crush, and he confessed his feelings to you, so you started dating.

But you were awkward, shy, and insecure. You couldn't go to dinner without there being an awkward silence, or touch him without getting self-conscience. And you never made a move on him first. You hated it, but you just couldn't get past those barriers in your mind.

"I want you to come visit me sometimes, after school," Bakugou said to you one day.

There was a small silence before you sucked in your breath and spoke, "I can do that... I'll text you when I do," you mumbled.

He slammed a hand down on your desk and leaned closer to you.

"No. Surprise visit me." He commanded.

You mentally cringed. You connected eyes before you shied away and scratched the back of your head.

"But I don't want to bother you or something. You could be busy..." you said.

You could feel his mood change without even looking at him. He growled out, "Your shyness and insecurity isn't cute anymore, (Y/N). Get over it or we're done."

You could say that those words shook you to your core with utmost truth.

He turned and stormed out of the classroom. A few people looked at you in pity. A soft hand landed on your shoulder.

"Don't listen to that jerk, (Y/N). He doesn't know what he is talking about, ribbit."

Tsu kneeled by your desk with a genuine look on her face.

Your lips wobbled but you held in the tears for a bit longer. Tsu saw this and grabbed your hand. She pulled you out of your desk and led you out of the classroom. She placed you in an empty hallway, before pulling you close to her and hugging you.

You hesitated to hug her back, but she squeezed you and you couldn't help yourself.

You started to bawl into her shoulder. She patted your back.

"I've got you," she mumbled.

———

You tossed and turned throughout the night. You couldn't stop thinking about what Bakugou said. This relationship obviously meant more to you than it did him. You wanted to be serious with him, but you had to prove it. So you made up your mind.

If he wanted you to surprise visit him, then you would, and you would prove you aren't so shy and weak. You would prove you truly wanted more with him.

——

You went along, business as usual, the next day. After school, you walked to the nearest flower shop and bought a beautiful flower. Then you stomped over to Bakugou's house, ready to show him how you feel.

A confident smile shown on your face as you got closer and closer to his house.

You would show that you could change for him.

And then you got there, and everything you were feeling disappeared.

Bakugou was pushing a girl into the side of his house, kissing her with a ferocity that you had never seen before. Actually, you had never kissed him at all before.

Tears started to prick at your eyes. He didn't even give you a chance.

He backed up slightly, rubbing his mouth, a smirk placed there. The girl stumbled away, and you got a good looked at her.

Uraraka, why?

A fountain of tears spurted from your eyes. You felt like dying there and then.

You stumbled onto your knees, and the crack that followed caused both of their heads to swivel towards you.

You couldn't even meet their eyes as you cried into the ground.

Uraraka instantly growled, and instead of coming towards you, she turned towards Bakugou.

"Your such a jerk!" She screamed as she raised a fist and punched him straight across the face. He stumbled back, clutching his nose.

She scurried towards you, and gently pried you from the ground.

"I swear he forced me to kiss him. I didn't want that at all!" She cried. You met her eyes and couldn't help but believe what she said.

You nodded numbly. She sighed and gently pulled you away from Bakugou.

You're not really sure what happened next, as it all became fuzzy, but you remember waking up in your bed, your phone buzzing like crazy.

(5:42 PM) Froggy🐸💚 - I heard what happened

(5:55 PM) Froggy🐸💚 - I'm so sorry

(5:59 PM) Froggy🐸💚 - Bakugou is a total douche

(6:10 PM) Froggy🐸💚 - I'll beat him up next time i see him for you

(6:34 PM) Froggy🐸💚 - Are you there ?

(6:46 PM) Froggy🐸💚 - I don't know what's going on but I'm coming over to check on you

(7:01 PM) Froggy🐸💚 - I'm here

(7:02 PM) Froggy🐸💚 - I'm coming up

A sudden panic flared up in you. You were snuggled into your blankets, and wouldn't have any time to clean the room or yourself.

You struggled to release yourself but ended up slamming into the floor, still wrapped up. You groaned in pain. A laugh interrupted your groan.

"Are you good?" The laugher asked while helping you up. You met eyes with Tsu who was giggling under her hands. You blushed and tried to squirm away, but she firmly held you in place.

"Stop.. This is embarrassing!" You whined. She smiled at you, a slight blush on her face.

"Here, let me help."

She gently unraveled you from your cocoon, then sat down next to you.

"So I pretty much already know what's going on, but I want to hear it in your words," She stated after a few moments of silence. "So tell me what happened."

Your words caught in your throat. You didn't want to bother her with your dumb problems.

She took your hands into hers, soothing you slightly.

You squeezed her hand before speaking.

"Remember how Bakugou threatened to break up with me unless I stopped being so shy and insecure? Well, I decided to surprise visit him, like he wanted, but when I got there..." you stopped for a moment, remembering the way his lips moved on hers, and how he looked like he was really enjoying himself.

"He was kissing another girl," you finally said, tears prickling in your eyes.

Tsu started to massage your hands in her own, thinking of what to say. She finally opened her mouth.

"After Uraraka got you home, she called me and told me everything. Apparently Bakugou had tricked her into going over there by telling her if she didn't, he would beat up Midoriya. And when they get there, he forced himself on her," she said.

You took a moment to think about this new information. You looked down at Tsu's and your hands pulled together.

"That's horrible," You finally whispered, "Poor Uraraka..."

Tsu's eyebrows quirked down and she frowned at you, but you failed to notice it.

A tear splashed onto your hands, and you pulled back quickly.

"Sorry," you mumbled as you pulled your body into itself.

"I'm sorry for bothering you so late, Tsu. You're probably tired. You should go home and get some rest," you said in a sharper tone of voice than usual.

"(Y/N), wait-" before she could continue you cut her off.

"Go home," you commanded, not even looking at her.

Tsu got up shakily before walking to the door. Before she disappeared she turned around and spoke one more time, "Don't push away the people that care about you. Especially... especially me," she mumbled the last part.

——-

The next day at school was a quiet one. It seems that everyone had already heard what had happened to you. Most of them just sent you pitying smiles, which you hated.

A few of them glared at Bakugou harder then usual.

It felt like Bakugou was staring at you, but Tsu kept pulling you away whenever you started to turn his way.

Finally, you snapped.

"That's enough, Tsu!" You hissed as you pulled away from her. She looked at you with wide eyes, an unreadable look on her face.

You turned around before she could speak, and walked away. Bakugou watched you closely as you passed, and you had the strength to glare at him.

His hand reached out to you, but pulled away quickly.

———

It seemed to go like this for the next few days. Awkward quietness, being ignored or horribly comforted. By now, all you were feeling was anger.

You and Bakugou hadn't even talked about anything. It was like it was all a fluke in the first place. And the way he hurt Uraraka, was nearly unforgivable.

You radiated anger 24/7, so much so, that even the teachers began to avoid you. (Which in turn made you even angrier.)

So you finally decided to confront Bakugou and your feelings.

You caught up to him as he was walking home.

And as you called out his name, and as he turned towards you, you felt all of that anger fade into sadness. It was like being so close and the idea of taking to him just flipped that anger switch off in you.

"Tell me... Tell me why," you mumbled, barely keeping your voice from cracking. You looked down at your fidgeting hands.

He sighed, and you felt your heart constrict.

"It doesn't matter now. I'm going home," he swiftly turned and almost got away but you wrapped your arms around his waist and leaned your head against his back.

"No.. no. Bakugou. It does matter. It matters to me!" You clenched your hands around his shirt, tears prickling in your eyes. You leaned even closer into his muscled warmth, wanting to hold him like this every day.

His hands rested over yours, and for a second you thought he might return your hug. But then he ripped away from you, and you barely saw the annoyed look on his face before you fell onto the ground. A small gasp came from your lips as you sat on the concrete.

You missed the way his face clenched at you in pain.

He stomped away and left you crying on the dirty sidewalk.

——

After your experience with Bakugou, you found yourself more guarded then before, and you were also less shy. You didn't ever want to be hurt again, so you made clear to those around you what you expected of them and asked what they expected from you.

It was years later when you were engaged happily to Tsu, and working as a pro Hero, that you learned the truth behind that breakup.

You met Bakugou while fighting a villain, and he desperately asked to talk with you. You agreed only after seeing how pained he was.

He wanted to meet you at a park, so you went there and sat on a bench out in the open.

You looked up from your phone as you heard someone call your name. Bakugou strode toward you, scarf wrapped around his neck and hands in his pocket.

"Hey," he grumbled while he sat down.

You looked down at your phone, obviously texting someone else.

"Put that down, we're here to talk," he said as he forcefully pulled the phone from your hands.

"Ah! Hey, give that back!" You yelled and reached over him to get the phone he was dangling over his head.

You finally snatched the phone from his hands, and then you noticed the warm blush on his face. You scooted away from him, feeling unsure of this situation.

"We don't talk for years, and the first thing you do when you see me is steal my phone," you mumbled, crossing your arms over your chest.

He furrowed his eyes at your words.

There was a few minutes of silence before you sighed.

"If that's all you wanted to do, I'm gonna go."

You got up and started to stroll away, but he quickly got up and stopped you.

"No. I... I needed to talk to you about something."

You raised a brow at his odd behavior, but shrugged and followed him back to the bench.

There were a few more minutes of silence, where he was staring off into space.

"I did something horrible to you when we were kids and I need to explain why I did it."

You gaped at him. He wanted to talked about something that happened when you were children? That was almost a decade ago!

He continued on, ignoring your shocked face. "You were always so insecure and shy, and it was ruining you as a hero. You wouldn't have been able to defeat any villains, or save any people, because you always second guessed yourself. And I wanted to to help you gain some confidence, but I really didn't know how. I tried talking to you, but it never worked. So I did the only thing I knew how. I broke you. I hoped that by breaking you, you could rebuild yourself into a different, better person. And you did. You became a strong, beautiful Hero that everyone looks up to." He stopped for a moment, catching your gaze but looking back at the scenery quickly.

"I only every wanted to help you, and I sacrificed us in order to do that. I've been waiting all of these years, waiting for you to become the best you could ever be.... and here we are. You're at your peak right now, and I.. I want to be there with you."

This was so very out of character for Bakugou. His soft, genuine words left you breathless, knowing the truth from all those years ago. This was also a confession, from what you were hearing.

"My feelings for you have never faded. I've always loved you as much as I did when we were together."

He abruptly grabbed your hand but you were quick to pull away. Tears started to slip down your cheeks.

"Bakugou... you... after all this time! No.. we can't." There was a sudden coldness to your words.

"I'm getting married in a month, Bakugou."

He gaped up at you, tears also stinging his eyes.

"No," he whispered.

"No, what? Whatever feelings you have for me, it doesn't matter! I love someone else, and I want to spend the rest of my life with them!"

"A month, huh?" He reached up and ran his fingers through his ever spiky hair.

His tears disappeared as his mouth turned up in a smirk.

"That's plenty of time."

You were pulled flush against him, your knees spread over him, and his lips smashed against yours.

You struggled violently, but his arms around you were too strong.

He let you go and you fell to the ground sputtering and coughing.

Tears fell down around you as you clenched your hands.

"You jerk! I hate you! You can't just waltz into my life like this and force yourself on me!" You cried.

You got up and ran away, tears still streaming.

Bakugou wiped his lips softly, smiling.

Plenty of time..."
