Dabi x Reader: Mine
This is a request for Dabi and fem!reader who is a third year at U.A. High ^_^ I'm loving writing for the villains and the bnha season three hype is real! Aaaah! I'm so excited for the next episode. Anyway...enjoy!
Being a third year came with its own set of struggles since more pressure was added the farther you got at U.A. and you had to make sure to be a good role model for the younger students. But you weren't perfect. Not by far.
But you were trying your best to be a good hero, even if it was one of the hardest things you had ever done.
After the school day was over you said your goodbyes to your friends, making sure that you kept track of the time. Once you were done you hurried to the train station because you had to head to your internship with pro hero Fatgum. You liked being punctual but you were usually late because you walked slow to enjoy the sunset, but thankfully he didn't mind.
You wanted to be a hero that specialized in nighttime missions, but you always loved the period of time before night fell. Dusk was where the world really shone in your opinion.
The sunset bathed the trees and the sidewalk in warm sunlight before it died out quicker than it had started.
How disappointing, you thought as you kept on walking. The sun went down and darkness fell over the street, so you picked up your pace. The train station was nearby but your eyes scanned the area around you. There was a tall man in a dark jacket who was walking ahead of you, but you paid no mind to him.
Until he peered over his shoulder at you.
You froze in shock, immediately recognizing him. His sharp blue eyes narrowed as if he was trying to asses the situation. He turned around to face you a grin pulling at his lips. There was no doubt about it...his purple patched skin...his shiny sliver piercings...
"D-Dabi." you whispered under your breath.
After a few seconds of you both sizing each other up he spoke up. "Your uniform...you're a U.A. brat aren't you? How's that working out for you?"
You frowned at his sarcastic tone. "It's been great until now actually."
He chuckled, taking a few quick steps towards you causing you to move backwards. "G-Get away from me!" You shouted, preparing for a fight.
"Ok ok, calm down," he said, raising his hands in surrender, "I was just gonna go around you so I could leave." His tone sounded sincere enough so you let your guard down just a little bit and stepped off to the side so he could leave.
"Keep your hands where I can see them." you said sternly, and he nodded in response. His purple lips moved up in a smile...no more like a smirk if anything.
"Don't worry. What's your name?"
"Screw you."
"That's an interesting name." he replied not missing a beat. If this wasn't a different situation you might've chuckled at him but unfortunately it was pretty bad timing for him.
"Oh yeah? Like Dabi is your real name huh? Gimme a break." you retorted.
What are you doing y/n!? Don't antagonize him!
"Hm. I guess you're not all looks huh? You're right, but I'll be damned if you can guess what my real name is." he said. True to his word he was slowly backing off but nevertheless you kept your eyes trained on him.
"I don't even wanna know." you said coldly and he chuckled. With that he walked off and disappeared into the night.
You hadn't realized how fast your heart was beating until you were finally alone. You struggled to calm yourself before you walked toward the train station. But it wasn't fear that you were feeling. It was excitement.
Get it together y/n! He's a villain!
But your heart kept beating fast.
...
Dabi watched you go into the station, his eyes narrowing ever so slightly. There was something about you that he couldn't quite place, but he wasn't opposed to it. You seemed different than all of the other U.A. students.
You had a mind of your own.
"Damn it." he muttered under his breath as he began to walk away. "You'll be mine someday. You'll see how crooked these so called heroes really are...and then you'll be mine."
