3rd Person POV

Bakugo was a viking, to put it simply. His ancestors battled on and on for the land he currently resides in, and his father happened to be the chief of the clan. His father was set on him becoming the next chief of their clan but Bakugo wasn't too happy about the idea.

"Tch," he'd scoff, turning away from his father, "Like I'd do that."

His father would sigh, every time, and respond with, "It is your duty as the the chief's, my, son to rule them when it comes time."

Bakugo had never agreed to do so. He was only 18 at the time anyways, so why would he worry about that?

Now that he was 20, it was almost time for him to make a decision for good. He wasn't ready, he never will be, but he wasn't about to admit that. All he wanted to do was just, as he put it, "live his life". As a viking, there's all kinds of things he can do, but his favorite thing is hunting dragons.

Dragons have made living in Berk a nightmare. A constant war between vikings and dragons has led Bakugo to some savage fights. He has a scar on his face from the talon off the end of a dragon's wing, and another massive scar on his back from one almost tore him in half. After all this, he believed dragons were only bred to kill.

As if it was any other day, he got up out of bed and walked over to his makeshift closet; a large square shaped hole in his wall with a wooden rod hanging up his clothes. He chose a shirt, pants, and boots, then grabbed his armor off the stand next to the hole in the wall. He slipped on his clothes and walked down the stairs with his armor in hand.

"Good morning, Katsuki," his father greeted. Bakugo grumbled in return and grabbed an apple before marching straight out the front door. His father sighed and shook his head then returned to eating his breakfast.

Bakugo headed out to a cliff right above the forest. This was the optimal hunting spot; he could shoot down dragons with a net then set off to cut them right open. He set up all his things; a catapult, his net, and a dagger on his thigh. Before he could finish putting on his armor, he heard a loud screech. He looked up into the sky to see possibly the biggest dragon he's ever encountered. It was a vibrant red with spikes all down the sides of its face and tail. Bakugo simply smirked to himself as he aimed the net. The dragon seemed to notice him and roared again. As it began to fly downwards to take cover, he shot the net out of the catapult. It wrapped around the dragon, causing it to thrash around as it fell to the ground. Bakugo smirked in triumph and set aside his catapult. He finished putting on his armor, the helmet last, and gripped the dagger attached to his thigh by a garter. He began walking down the cliffside when he heard another roar, then it went silent. The other members of the clan went back washing clothes or fishing or even forging weapons.

Bakugo made his way deep into the forest. It was shaded beneath the canopies of the trees, but some light shone through the leaves every few feet. Birds could be heard throughout the forest. He looked up to the sky and calculated where the dragon should've landed in perspective of where he shot it down. He heard groaning. Not very loud, but just loud enough for him to notice it. After a few seconds, it stopped. Bakugo creeped his way through the trunks of trees until he found a brightly lit circle of leaves. Trees had fallen down around the perimeter of the area. He walked over to the center, where a man lied. His hair was bright crimson, the same color as the dragon, and had horns atop his head. He had no shirt and pants that were ripped at the bottom. He seemed unconscious.

Bakugo slowly stepped towards him, then another groan came from the man. Was this the dragon he shot down? It couldn't be...but he has horns? And some scales? Bakugo shook his head and pulled out his dagger as he stepped even closer. "Don't move," he growled.

The man slowly opened his eyes, cringing at the bright sunlight cascading through the open canopy. He couldn't hear Bakugo; all he heard was ringing. He tried to prop himself up on his elbow but he cried out, grabbing hard at his abdomen. Bakugo raised an eyebrow then took another step closer. "I said, don't move!"

The man finally grasped an idea of what was happening. He fell backwards, back onto his back, and coughed a small bit. "Sorry, sorry..." he mumbled. Bakugo squinted as he tried to glare, but it wasn't very intimidating; not to the man, at least. The man seemed timid almost, like he could comply with anything Bakugo said. Bakugo liked the idea of that.

"Are ya gonna kill me or what?" the man asked. Bakugo growled and walked so he stood right beside him. He put on a foot on the man's chest, pressing down to add some pressure.

"I don't know, should I?" he smirked. The man groaned at the pain shooting down to his stomach.

"You bruised me pretty bad. You might as well," he grumbled, obviously annoyed. "I was just trying to enjoy a nice flight."

Bakugo barely lifted his foot up. "You're the dragon I caught?" He seemed surprised. "Can all dragons do this?"

"Do what?" the man looked up at him.

"What you're doing now. Shapeshift, or whatver."

The man rolled his eyes. "I guess you could say my mom was half dragon and my dad was full dragon. Happy?" He seemed beyond annoyed at this point, but Bakugo kept pushing.

"No, I'm not. Are you saying you're partially human?" Bakugo stared down at him. Now that he got a better look, he saw scratches on the man's face, and a clear look of I'm done with your shit. "Don't give me that look. You're the one who got caught."

The man sighed, "Yes, yes I am. My name is Eijirou Kirishima."

Bakugo grinned a little. "Will it be useful to know my name if I'm going to just kill you?"

Kirishima rolled his eyes and used what little strength he built back up to push Bakugo's foot off of him. Bakugo stumbled backwards, almost losing his balance then growled at Kirishima.

Kirishima grinned, holding his hand out. "Now, where was I?" he spoke clearly, "Oh yeah, my name is Kirishima."

Bakugo lunged towards him but Kirishima dodged, leaving the blond man on the ground as his dagger fell a few feet away. Bakugo seethed with anger, his jaw clenched as he stood back up. He happened to notice the tail attached to Kirishima's rear end. He grabbed the end and yanked it back, pulling Kirishima down with him. Like a cat, he was supposed to land on all fours, but instead he fell and landed right on top of Bakugo. Kirishima's cheeks heated up slightly. Bakugo grumbled and turned his head away. This didn't work as I had hoped, he thought. He felt his own cheeks heating up; he wasn't used to someone being this close to him. As much as he hated to admit it, the dragon man was actually attractive, and he hated that he didn't have the willpower to just push him off.

Kirishima was the first to make a move. He put his hand on Bakugo's chest and pushed up, allowing him to stand while the other man made an "oof" sound. He reached his hand out, offering to help him up. Bakugo swatted his hand away and stood up on his own.

"Listen," Bakugo growled, "I don't need your help." He realized in that moment that he didn't have his dagger in his hand. He looked around, then heard,

"Looking for this?" Bakugo whipped his head around to see Kirishima holding up his dagger, eyeing it in the sunlight. "Y'know, this blade was forged with my ancestor's blood."

Bakugo walked over and snatched it away from him, tucking it back into his garter. "Yeah yeah, whatever. I got this from my dad. I don't know where it came from." Kirishima shrugged.

"Well, you haven't killed me. Does that mean we're friends?" He smirked a little, walking closer to Bakugo. Bakugo growled at him, then grabbed him by one of his hands.

"We're not friends. You're just lucky I didn't kill you. Now run off before I change my mind."

Kirishima snickered and patted his head. "Whatever you say." He sprinted off into the woods, leaving Bakugo behind. Bakugo heard a whooshing noise from far away, then saw a crimson dragon flying away. He sighed before making his way back home.
