Iida sat down at his desk, his homework was completed but he still felt he had to continue studying despite it being nearly midnight. A small yawn escaped his lips, it was late and he probably needed sleep.

"I suppose it is getting far too late, I should not function without proper sleep."
He adjusted his glasses as he closed the book.

At that moment a knock on the door caught my attention, checking the time again I grew confused.

"Who would knock on my door at 12:07 in the morning?"

Another soft knock followed but it stopped afterwards, it seemed almost timid?
Being as curious as he was, the book was placed on his shelf and he went over opening the door.

Denki stood in front of him but he seemed frozen, a shy smile appeared on his face followed by a nervous laugh.

Iida raised an eyebrow before noticing that Kaminari had a bunch of books in his hands.
This caught his attention and he stepped aside for Kaminari to make his way into the room.

"I didn't think you were awake.." The blonde managed as he sat down on the other boy's bed.

Denki then set the books next to him and looked everywhere except at Iida.

"I was about to go to sleep, however you knocked before I could."

That made Denki flinched and start picking the books back up,
"I'm so sorry for bothering you I'll go if you're tired I just-"

Iida stopped him from picking up the last book.
"Kaminari, you obviously came for a reason and while you came at a very questionable time, I don't oppose to helping you."

"I...just needed help with studying and homework stuff.. I know it's late but I got distracted while hanging out with the Bakusquad and then I took a while to get here since I was nervous and-"

Once again Iida stopped him, and gave a small smile as he opened the first book.

"I'd be happy to help, let's start with English."

{Time°skip}

"I don't get it."
Kaminari whined throwing himself back on the bed,
"No wonder my friends deemed me the dumb one...I give up!"

Iida frowned a bit looking at the sentence for a moment before smiling.

"Kaminari, try again."

The electronic blonde sat up and raised an eyebrow before looking back at the book, it was just a bunch of random letters thrown together in his eyes.

"The sentence says Hontou Desuka, translate that to English."

"Are you sure? I just-"

"Correct." Iida smiled making Denki blink.

"Hontou Desuka roughly translates to Are you sure."

Denki frowned, not being able to see why Iida was so proud.

"It was just an accident, I don't know these things, Iida."

"Alright, next is Gomennasai."

"I'm sorry- are you not hearing anything I'm saying?!"

"Correct again."

A moment of silence passed. Denki looked at the book again, He had indeed gotten it right. But that was just a coincidence, right? There's no way.

"I believe you know much more than you think, Kaminari. Getting it out of you just takes a little bit of time and effort. Though you do have much potential and I am proud of you."

Iida rambled before seeing Kaminari's state. He was red faced and in tears, mumbling incomprehensible things as he tried to wipe them away, Iida worried that he had done something wrong.
However it was quite the opposite, Denki couldn't remember the last time he had been given encouragement like that. He just always deemed stupid and told he could do better. He had forgotten the feeling of being praised and experiencing it again was more amazing than he could even describe through words.

"T-Thank you Iida..."

He stuttered through his tears.
The blue haired male smiled and shut the book,
"If you'd like me to help further I could be your tutor. If Aizawa-sensei's teaching methods do not suit you then I will try to discover other useful ways to help you understand. However, it would be ideal for you to be here at reasonable hours next time."

He glanced at the clock which read 2:47am, he would definitely feel the consequences of this tomorrow.

Denki on the other hand calmed down but was overjoyed by Iida's offer to help him. He hugged him tightly catching Tenya off guard but once relaxing he was able to return the affection.

"If you're tutoring me now, I can't hang out with the Bakusquad anymore?"

The question came out of nowhere and the two were still hugging but Iida chuckled softly.

"Of course not, we could set up a schedule. If you'd like we can study each day after school and we both get the weekend off. I usually go to the Cafe with Midoriya and the others so it would also benefit me"

Denki nodded and looked up, he loved the thought of studying with Iida. He flirted with several girls and guys during his time at UA but he never dared to flirt with Iida.

Something about him was just different, he was the opposite of Kaminari; uptight, smart, obeyed the rules at all the time, cared about his studies a lot and a straight A student.
Maybe the difference between them attracted Kaminari he found out he had things in common with his other classmates, even Todoroki.

Though nothing about Iida was similar to Kaminari in the slightest and that excited him.
His friends new he was a chaotic bisexual of course, but they didn't really know about his feelings towards Iida. All they knew is he had a crush on someone in the class.

He was so wrapped in his thoughts he barely heard Iida calling his name.

"Kaminari? Kaminari?! Denki!"

The blonde flinched noticing how close he and Iida were, he really needed to work on keeping himself under control while zoned out.

"I'm sorry I-"

His eyes wandered down to Iida's lips.

"Fuck it."

Denki pressed their lips together and kissed Iida passionately. Not expecting anything in return he went to pull away but Iida kissed back.
For a moment Kaminari had thought he'd short-circuited and was imagining things.
But after pulling away and seeing the red dusting both their faces he realized that it was indeed real.

"I am not the best at romantic or social cues but do you like me Kaminari?"

The latter eagerly nodded.

"Well, the feelings are returned so.. Would you like to be my boyfriend?"

"Yes!"

They shared a short yet sweet little kiss before Denki picked up his books and left the room.

{Next ° day ° Time ° Skip}

Denki was out of character the next day, during English he answered the most questions and most of them were correct.
His entire class was confused and at some point Bakugou jumped in front of Denki and began shaking him violently, accusing him of being Toga.

Though that back fired when he made Denki short-circuit and almost got detention.

"Kamibro, what's up with you today?"
Kirishima grinned as Denki was back to normal.

"Nothing much" Denki responded as he packed his bags.

"Oi! Don't think I'm buying that Bullshit!"
Bakugou growled.

"I studied last night and...had some help"
A blush creeped onto his face followed by Iida walking past with his friends, wrong timing.

"Wait a minute, your crush is four eyes?!"

Mina squealed and hugged Denki tightly, "I'm so proud of you Denks!"

Kaminari played along, of course he'd tell them that they were dating but only when Iida consented to it.
For now he was satisfied with his studying afternoons and occasional dates with the only guy he'd ever had such real feelings for.
