Sero Hanta x Reader: With You

Another Sero oneshot was requested, so if any of you all are feeling sad or are in a bad mood I hope this will cheer you up! ^_^ Enjoy!

"Hey y/n! Did you wanna hang out. We're thinking of going to your favorite ramen place." Jirou said, poking you on your side playfully with her elbow. Yaoyorozu gave you a bright smile, that should have made you feel instantly better. It usually did...

"It will be my treat y/n." She said, her dark eyes shining with genuine earnest. But you didn't feel like this was the right thing to do right now.

"I have a lot of homework to catch up on...plus my mom really needs my help with some chores. Maybe next time?" You said, your eyes looking down at your desk.

Jirou and Yaoyorozu exchanged worried looks but decided not to push you further.

"I understand. Next time then." Yaoyorozu said before walking away and leaving for the day. Jirou's eyes gazed at you for a bit longer before she walked off with Yaoyorozu, leaving you alone.

I just don't feel like it...I'm sorry guys, you thought as you packed up your pencils and notebooks and left for the day. Next time for sure...

They were too nice to you and you felt like you had to be alone for a while. Maybe the sadness that you felt would just go away if you gave yourself enough time. You walked home, made yourself put dishes away, and then went straight to your room.

Three days later

Your attendance had been perfect up until now. You had decided to take the day off to maybe sort some things out, but instead you opted to stay in bed and not move.

You lied and told your mom you were sick, and thankfully she believed you. She left for work so you had all the time in the world to just stay in bed.

Maybe this is exactly what I need. Some more time by myself.

You pulled the covers over your head, effectively blocking out the sunlight from your window, and closed your eyes. A good nap might make you feel better...

"Y/n! It's Sero! I have your homework that you missed."

Sero's loud voice from outside woke you up with a start. How long had you been asleep?

You rolled out of bed and shuffled to the front door. Out of all the people to see you like this, it had to be Sero. "I'm coming." You said, your voice still raspy from sleeping.

You opened the door and was greeted by Sero's huge ear to ear grin. "What's up? You weren't at school."

Your eyes widened and you immediately began to cough into your hands. "I-I'm really s-sick." You said through your coughs.

Sero raised an eyebrow. He was obviously skeptical.

"Well I have your homework. Today was kind of important too, cause we had a quiz in Present Mic's class." Sero said, letting himself in to your house. He  took his shoes off by the door and looked at you over his shoulder. "Got any juice?"

"No. You can have milk."

"Cool. Thanks. You don't sound sick anymore y/n." He said. He went into the kitchen and got a small glass of milk for himself, and your cheeks burned with embarrassment.

"I...I'm not sick. I just didn't feel like going to school today."

"What do you mean? Is everything ok?" He asked, taking a sip of the milk. His black eyes didn't leave your face, and you bit down on your bottom lip harshly. "I can help."

"I just don't feel right Sero. I feel so shitty and I don't know why, I just know that I don't deserve to be...with all of you. Especially with you."

"Why me?" Sero asked. This was not the way you wanted to confess your feelings for him but you fought back your tears and just went with it.

"Because you make me so happy Sero! I like you and I don't deserve you!"

Sero became quiet, and the entire house just became silent. You stood still and waited for his reaction to your loud confession.

His grin grew wider and he walked over to you, wrapping his arms around your body in a bear hug. You fought back tears, your face hot at the fact that your crush was enveloping you in his arms right now.

"S-Sero..."

"I wanna make you feel better y/n...cause I really like you too. What will make you feel better?"

"J-Just hold me." You whispered, burying your face in his shoulder. Hot tears pricked at your eyes and fell down your face.

"Ssh, it's ok y/n. It's ok." Sero said, his voice soothing you. "I think it'll take some time to make you feel better."

...

Sero stayed with you the entire afternoon, trying to cheer you up. Right now you were caught up in a heated battle of Monopoly, and you seriously didn't know what you were doing. Sero said you were winning though so that's all that mattered.

You both sat near each other on the floor. Sero's fingers would brush against yours whenever he moved, and you found it hard to just concentrate on the game. But you tried to focus to fend off the awkwardness of spending time with someone you had just confessed to.

"Hmm, I think I'll make a hotel out of this one!" You said, pointing to one of the cheaper spots that you owned on the board. Sero sighed, knowing that that was one of the spots he landed the most on and now it would be more expensive. "Looks like you're almost out of money though huh?"

"Stop that I still have five dollars. I can still win this!"

"Then roll. It's your turn."

"...Ok. Here goes nothing." He said, tossing the dice onto the tile floor. They rolled a few times before showing his numbers...a five.

"Aww, looks like you're gonna go through straight my neighborhood. It'll cost you more than five dollars though." You said, enjoying how Sero looked genuinely surprised at his loss. He handed you the paper money, and smacked his hand on his forehead.

"I waited too damn long to make hotels!"

"Too bad. Would a kiss make you feel better though?" You asked, blood rushing to your face immediately after the words left your lips.

"O-Of course y/n." Sero replied. He shuffled closer to you, his lips pulling into a grin. You placed your left hand on his cheek gingerly and tilted your head. Your lips brushed his faintly before you added more pressure to the kiss.

He gasped at the contact, his hands tangling themselves in your hair before moving to your upper back and shoulders. You pulled away for air before moving back in.

It felt like an eternity had passed, but in reality only a few seconds had gone by when you two finally pulled away from each other. "S-Sero...my mom will be home soon..."

"Ah, I can leave if--"

"No did you...did you want to stay for dinner actually? Mom and I...we always make too much food anyway." You explained, twirling a piece of your hair with your fingers. "Do you want to stay?"

"Yes! Should I already introduce myself as your boyfriend or--"

"Ah! It might be too soon for my poor mom." You said with a smile, your entire body flooding with heat. Sero nodded, his usual grin lighting up his handsome face.

"I would love to y/n. So...this won't be our first date then right? If your mom isn't even gonna now about us." He said jokingly, his eyes wrinkling at the corners a bit. You smiled and gave him a chaste kiss on the forehead.

"We deserve a proper date together Sero." You said, gazing into his large black eyes. "Also, I don't think I've thanked you yet...thank you for being with me and cheering me up. You're amazing."

He smiled and you knew that he appreciated your kind words. It would definitely take more time for you to feel better, but being with him was a good step forward.
