Last Time on Kami's Gift

Once I defeated the last Noumu, I became exhausted before I dropped to the ground and could only hear the remaining villains go through another portal. After that, Athena-sama appeared with a small smile on her face.

"Good job, Izu." She said before closing my eyelids with her fingers. "Rest easy, my little hero."

Back To The Present

As I awoke, all I could feel was pain coursing its way throughout my body as I stared at a bland, white ceiling. When I tried to sit up, I felt all the muscles in my body straining themselves but I still sat up in the hospital bed I was now in.

Once I looked around, I realized it was late at night and only I and a sleeping Sumiko-chan was in the room, but why was she there?

But more importantly, both my arms were wrapped in bandages and my abdomen was also wrapped in some bandages. Then, I tried to nudge Sumiko-chan awake, only to realize she wasn't going to get off my legs anytime soon. After nudging her another time, I only received a slight groan of annoyance from her before a woman with blond hair wearing a white robe while wings made of pure light were behind her.

"Hello, Izu." She said as she just stood there with a small smile. "My name is Nike, goddess of victory."

"W-wait, K-kami-sama?" I stuttered with a dumbfounded look on my face.

After she shook her head, she spoke once again. "Sorry, but your last limit break took too much pressure on Kami and now she has been split into multiple goddesses around the world. As I said, I am the goddess of victory, one of the many aspects from the original Kami that you know. But don't worry, you have all the powers you already had while I'll be your companion until I switch off with another goddess."

As all the information sunk in, I finally replied. "Will the split-change anything else?"

"Well, you probably will get a new power that the goddess with you prefers." She said before clapping her hands while her smile grew. "For example, I would give you a power that would assure your victory, but another god might pick a power they have control of. So Athena would give you a power based on knowledge or make a choice for any situation, rather than Hel, who'd give you a deathly, fatal power. Got it?"

Once I mumbled about my new possibilities (which woke Sumiko-chan) I nodded hesitantly before Nike-sama disappeared in a flash of golden light. Although the glow didn't wake any of the hospital's other occupants, Sumiko-chan was now awake and rubbing her right eye.

"Midoriya-kun~," Sumiko-chan said as she rubbed her right eye. Then she hugged me, even though I felt a surge of pain, I hugged her back. "You made me worried sick!" She yelled before releasing the hug and playfully punching my chest.

"I'm s-sorry, Sumiko-chan," I said while she had a small pout on her face, why is she so damn cute?! "Let's talk later, maybe with more people so I don't have to explain much."

Time Skip ~ The Next Morning

Once I was released from the hospital, I was sent to the UA's first-year hero course dormitory, where many seemed to be waiting for me. But I could already smell burning from the kitchen and a few dozen messes around the living room.

"Is this what happens when I'm gone for a week?" I asked sarcastically as everyone's heads turned so fast, I could've sworn a few cracks were heard.

The first to speak was Yaoyorozu-san. "Sorry, Izuku-kun, but... we were worried about you."

Before she could say any more, I put a finger over her mouth and went to the kitchen while making 2 clones. In a matter of minutes, I had prepared 40 bowls of ramen for everyone.

"Let's talk over some brunch," I said before walking carefully to the dining room as I used a bit too much energy with only two clones.

After everyone sat down, they started to eat their respective ramen at quite odd rates, from class 1-A savoring the taste as a reminder of the deal and class 1-B wolfing the food down.

But the first to speak was Sumiko-chan this time. "Midoriya-kun, we'll have about a week before we resume classes. What will you do until then?"

"I'll probably do a small patrol with Gwen," I responded as Gwen looked up with a noodle sticking out of her mouth. "But I think I have something else I could do, maybe some publicity or charity event around town."

"Oi! Deku!" Kasumi yelled around the table with her chopsticks pointed towards me. "You better not slack off on training just because you got some awesome powers. After just cooking you were already tired and at USJ you fought for 2 hours without letting up."

Once she said that everyone gave me a questioning look, but Gwen just helped herself to seconds.

"Don't worry, I'll keep training but I'll have to make a big debut as an official hero soon," I said before taking my empty bowl over to the sink and starting to wash dishes. "But let's save that for the Sports Festival *Winks*."

Around 20 minutes had passed as I continued to make another batch of ramen and kept doing the dishes, but once I was done, everyone headed to the living room. I sat down across the TV as someone turned it to a news network talking about the USJ incident.

"Just a week ago, a group of villains calling themselves the League Of Villains attacked USJ, the Unforeseen Simulation Joint owned by UA. So far, we've only been told that only a few students actually got injured while only one was severely injured, but they were saved by All Might who fought off the League of Villains with the help of Eraserhead, Midnight, Snipe, No. 13, Power Loader, and Vlad King."

Once the reporter finished the overall story, she turned to her co-host and started to discuss more details but I just sat and pondered in my chair. "They really gave All Might all the credit, but they don't know much about the Noumu's or myself."

"Is it really that good?" Gwen said as she sat on the armrest of my chair. "Don't you want some credit for all the work you put in?"

"Yeah, but the fewer people know about my power," I paused before sitting Gwen on my lap as she blushed. "The longer I can spend with you."

"Izu!" Gwen yelled, but then, everyone in the room looked back at us.

"You guys are no fun," I complained as I picked up Gwen as I stood up and put her in the seat I was in. "Any more questions? Otherwise, I'm pretty sure someone is going to be knocking on that door soon."

At that moment, a knock was heard on the door. When I went to answer it, there stood Captain Marvel (Marvel comics and long-haired version) and Eri with a pout on her face. 

"It's nice to see you again Izuku!" Captain Marvel said before leaning down and kissing my forehead. 

As they walked inside, I rubbed my forehead. "Soba-san, what are you doing here?!"

Before I could get a response, they sat in the living room with Eri on her lap. "Just some news, good and bad. Which would you like to hear first?"

"Bad news,"

"Sit down first," She said as I complied. "Kid, your mother... she passed away."

"W-What... " I sat there shocked beyond belief.

"Inko, she was attacked by a group of villains while you were recovering in the hospital, but we were barely able to save the structure of the cafe," She said before poking my forehead with two of her fingers which got me out of my shocked state. "Onto the good news, Eri was rescued by your cousin Sora and I'll be teaching your class with All Might for a bit. But you'll have to come home with me while you're not going to school. So pack up, Izu!

"WHAT?!?!?!"

A/N: So, massive drop in seriousness. Anyway, the next few chapters are going to be filler because I'm going on a plane trip. Yay!~

But, do you creatures of undefined species want me to continue to have Izuku tease Gwen?

Also, Sumiko is the main love interest, but I'll keep the others on the side.
