Eijiro Kirishima
finally! i was not about to go through this book without writing about my favorite character, Kirishima. actually, i'm writing a full length fanfic about him too... i would be so grateful if you guys went to go check that out (๑♡3♡๑) i've been working really hard on it... as for this story, you two are about 20, have an established relationship, and your Quirk are these metal wings on your back that you can shoot the feathers out from. thanks! <3 peachy
My feet dangled beneath me as I gently flapped my wings, cruising the streets to see if there were any villains to fight. "Uhhh so cold and boring..." I sighed, shivering a little in the bitter night air. Snow and ice already dusted the ground and I was expecting more. Normally, I like the snow; it was fun to play in. However, I did not like it when Eijiro and I had to work the night-shift patrol, leaving me in the cold.
I saw Eijiro around the corner and I flew down to meet him. He smiled at me like always, not looking the least bit miserable as he walked through the cold, dark streets. "How are you not cold..." I moaned quietly, putting my palms on his bare chest.
"I don't know, I guess I just don't feel cold." He wrapped my hands in his. "Better?" I nuzzled into his chest, leaning up against him. "Yeah, this is better." He laughed, planting a kiss on my head, when we heard a scream cry out.
I quickly let go of him and we began sprinting down the streets. "I'll see what's going on! Meet me there!" I shouted back at Red Riot before extending my wings and flying off into the sky. I landed about where I thought the scream came from to see a mother and her daughter up against the wall of a department store. The little girl was crying as her mom tried to shield her.
"HEY!" I shouted to get the villain's attention, and it worked. He whipped around, revealing his nails that had become long, sharp claws. "Who are you?" His voice was raspy and a pervy look came over his face as he looked my up and down. I became painfully aware of how promiscuous my costume was, a light pink settling on my cheeks.
"Argh!" I lunged at him angrily; I needed to be in front of the civilians. He flashed his claws, swiping at me, but my reflexes were superb. I dodged everyone of his attacks, all while launching metal feathers from my wings that could be used as blades. One sank into his leg, put he ruthlessly pulled it out, tossing it aside.
The little girl let out a scream, but her mother hushed her. I saw a flash of red and I smiled. Everything was going to be okay because my partner was here; I was strong by myself, but together we were the perfect team. Red Riot smashed his shoulder into the man, sending him flying into a wall. The man struggled to get up, holding his shoulder with a hand that had no claws.
Kirishima ran after him, ready to properly restrain the villain, while I checked on the mother and daughter. "Are you two alright?" I folded my wings back so I didn't make them nervous or scared, because my wings could be intimidating. I bent down to look at the little girl, wiping her tears away with my hands. She ran into my arms, bawling; I gently picked her up, rubbing her back. "It's okay... It's okay... You and your mommy are okay..."
The lady shifted uncomfortably before running off. "Hey! Wait!" I didn't want to disturb the girl in my arms, but there was something about that lady too. But she was running right toward the man that Kirishima was tying up.
"I'm so sorry honey!" I could hear her choked sobs from across the street. I walked up to them, curious as to what the situation was. "I shouldn't have done this..." The lady was on her knees, her face buried in her hands.
"Why?! Why did you do this to me?!" He growled back, anger burning in his face. I noticed that his eyes were clearer than before, his voice less slurred. Kirishima and I made eye contact, both of us equally confused. Kirishima hardened his right arm, threateningly glaring at the two adults. "One of you better explain right now."
"Alright, alright I will!" The woman threw her hands in the air, her face messed by running makeup. "I-I-I slipped drugs in my husband's dinner tonight and that's why he did this."
"But why?" I stepped forward, the little girl still sniffling. "Because I wanted my daughter all to myself! I wanted out of our marriage, but he wouldn't let me file for divorce! So... So if he went to jail for attacking us then I could have my daughter and we could spend time together because my job doesn't really allow for me to see her that much. Especially when he's always hogging her! I don't even get to spend one day with her..." She started crying as a look of guilt poured over the male's face.
"No mommy! No daddy!" The little girl cried out in between sniffles. "You two need to love each other!" I held her so that she could see both of her parents. "No more fighting please! Please mommy and daddy!" She clasped her small hands together as her parents fought back tears. "Okay... Okay sweetie." Her mom reached out to pick her up and I gingerly handed her over. "Mommy and I won't fight anymore." Her father smiled at his daughter and wife from his bindings. I felt Kirishima reach over to grab my hand and I leaned my head against his shoulder.
Unfortunately, the police said that they still had to be brought in to have charges determined, but at least the family seemed like it would stay together. The little girl held both of their hands, giggling as the police lead them to the car. "Ignorance is bliss I suppose"
"Okay, you two are off shift." I looked over to see the next couple heroes walking up to us. "Got it, thanks." Kirishima said with a smile and we began to walk home together. Neither of us knew quite what to say, so we walked in silence our fingers intertwined.
Suddenly, I felt his hands reach over to my face and pull me into a light kiss as snow began to fall. There was no need for words, his touch explained everything. "I love you..." The snow dusted our hair and clothes, but I felt nothing except warmth as Kirishima's lips slid across mine.
