Lo'ak arrived when the twins were two days old. Apparently, the messenger had gotten lost and went to the Tayrangi clan by mistake. He'd ridden through the night and through the storms, much to the utter displeasure of his Ikran. How did Kaliua know he'd returned? When she woke up in the early hours of the morning to somebody singing in her hut. Working on autopilot, she grabbed the nearest thing and hurled it at the intruder. When he shouted in pain and surprise, Kailua rubbed her eyes. "Lo'ak?" She sat further up, being mindful of her Omatikaya daughter by her side. Yeah. They were still unnamed for now. "What the fuck did you throw at me?" He hissed. Kailua gestured. "Well excuse me! A strange person breaks into my hut, in the early hours of the morning, singing!" She hissed back. "What was I supposed to do? Get up and dance!?"
Lo'ak rolled his eyes as he cradled the Metkayina baby. "She's beautiful," He said after a moment. Kailua sat further up on the bed. "She's not the only one," Kailua said in response. Lo'ak awed. "What a nice thing to say," Kaliua was mid-picking up her youngest baby but paused. "Not you, skxawng," She tutted. Lo'ak huffed. "Rude," She rolled her eyes and pulled the baby up to her breast. She displayed her proudly. "This is our youngest," She smiled softly. Lo'ak's eyes widened almost comically. "Twins? Two? Two girls?"
Kailua giggled. "Yep. The one you're holding was born first. This one was born second," Baby 2 began to fuss a little in her arms, so she lowered her chest cover and began to feed. Lo'ak watched in amazement. "Chances are that one'll be hungry as well," She said softly, patting her back. Kailua gestured to the side. "Mama helped me put some of my milk in the bottles. You can feed her if you want?" She brought her baby over her shoulder and began patting her back. Lo'ak walked over and grabbed the bottle but paused. "I don't know how to feed a baby," He said. Kailua wiped away the spit-up from the baby and laid her back down to sleep. She stood up, wincing softly, and made her way over. "You never fed Tuk?" Lo'ak shook his head. "No. I was only six. Dad didn't trust me enough for that,"
She patted his shoulder softly and reclipped her chest cover-up. "Here. Hold her like this," She gently pulled his arms apart. "You can sit if it's easier," She directed to the chair. Lo'ak shook his head. "No. I need to learn," Kailua shrugged slightly. "Ok. Hold her here, in the crook of your arm, like this," She moved his arm around. "It's slightly easier if you rest her head in between your armpit and chest," She smiled softly as the baby cooed softly. Lo'ak bit his lip as he adjusted the baby without disrupting her too much. Kailua loved that about him. He always bit his lip slightly on this inside whenever he was concentrating on something. "Good," She praised. "Then angle the bottle into her mouth at a slope, like this," She gestured with her hand. Her little Metkayina daughter latched on immediately and had done so whenever another fed her. Her youngest... did not take to the bottle quite as easily. In fact, in the late hours of last night, when Ao'nung and Tsireya were sitting with her, Tsireya was changing her eldest's cloth while Nung was trying to feed the youngest. Her little Omatikaya protested loudly with a loud wail and high screech.
She sighed softly as she took a seat, hissing softly. She glared when she caught sight of Lo'ak's concerned face. "I'm fine. I'm not gonna be pain-free for a while," She grumbled. "You forget, I had twins less than three days ago. I'll be sore for at least a week," She grabbed her water and drank loads. Breastfeeding always sapped her hydration. Lo'ak remained staring at her as the baby suckled on the bottle. "I haven't named them yet," She said softly, rebraiding her hair. "Why not?" Lo'ak asked. "Bring her over your shoulder, supporting her head and burp her," Kaliua nodded to the dozing baby. "And because you weren't here," She answered. "I didn't wanna name them when you weren't here,"
They slept that night, too full of love to think of anything else.

It took them another week to name the babies. Eventually, when the twins were sixteen weeks old, they were presented to Lo'ak's clan as the first grandchildren of Olo'eyktan. Mo'at had unfortunately passed away just before the twins were born, and so Neytiri had vowed to stay in the forest to guide her people. The old Olo'eyktan, Tarsem, had relinquished his role and given the power back to Jake. It was a lengthy discussion of where to raise the twins, but upon Lo'ak's insistence, they would remain by the sea until the twins were old enough to decide for themselves. All but Lo'ak left, though it made sense. Tuk wasn't old enough to stay on her own, Neteyam was to be Olo'eykan when Jake passed the torch down, and Kiri didn't like the sea to begin with. Plus, she could link to her own spirit tree without any issues like the last time she attempted to.
Kailua sighed softly as she attempted to smooth the four-month-old's black tufty hair. "I still can't believe how much she looks like my grandmother," She said out loud. "I only see you," Lo'ak replied from where he was bouncing the Alira. Kailua smiled. "You would, you never met my grandmother," She began to nurse her youngest, Lunapey, fondly called Luna. "If she looked anything like you, then I imagine she was the most beautiful person in the clan," Kailua blushed.
She ignored her mate's laughter as Luna finished her feed. She burped her and dressed her up in her blue loincloth. "I like how you found fabric that's the same as your skin," Lo'ak said. "She's not quite as green as me. She's got an odd colour... I've never seen a na'vi so blue in my whole life," Kailua gushed. "It makes her unique," Lo'ak commented from where he was wrestling the oldest into her loincloth.
Kailua snorted. "Believe me, they're already unique,"
They flew out to the Omatikaya clan, maybe a ten-hour ride, for the celebration of the twins. To help transport everyone, Neteyam had flown out on his stronger Ikran. He would ride with Kailua and Alira, while Lo'ak rode with Luna. The only reason they hadn't gone sooner was the twins had to be eight weeks old as a minimum to build their immune systems up, and Kailua needed time to heal. Who knew delivering twins ripped everything her body had to offer? How her mother had four children truly astounds her.
The clan came into sight in the early hours of the following day, to everybody's relief. Kailua's undercarriage still ached from the twins, and sitting on a bony banshee didn't help any. As they landed by the home tree, Kailua grinned when Lo'ak's sisters popped out of the branches. "Hi, guys!" She called.
Kiri waved back, groaning as Tuk yanked her arm towards the new arrivals. "Aw! They're beautiful!" She proclaimed. Kailua turned to take Luna but stopped with a soft smile. "Guys, we'll bring them back shortly," She nodded with her head. "Come on. I think I saw Neytiri up there,"
Lo'ak blurred past her form as he crashed into his mother's awaiting arms. Kailua held back, smiling as they embraced after a long four months apart. To her side, Neteyam appeared holding Luna. "They're very cute," He commented as he wiggled her finger at the baby. Kailua smiled. "She's Lunapey... but we call her Luna," Neteyam smiled softly. "And this one's Alira," She gestured to the pale blue daughter in her arms. Lo'ak ran back, grabbed Luna from his older brother's arms, and ran back to his mother. "I'm guessing he missed mom?" Kailua snorted and began the walk up the steep ramp. "Was that obvious?" She chuckled. She smiled at the grandparents. "You did well, Kailua," Neytiri placed her hand atop her head. "I am sorry we could not come to help,"
Kailua waved it off. "It was fine. I had my mama." She eased the woman's nerves. She elbowed Lo'ak's side, eyeing his parents. "Oh! Yeah. This is Lunapey," He displayed the baby. Luna was the eldest with Kailua's skin and stripe colour, but Lo'ak's eye colour, stripe thickness and five-fingered hand. Alira had Lo'ak's dark blue colour, with Kailua's stripe colour and thickness. She had one eye amber and one eye sky blue, along with the five fingers.
"May I?" Jake asked. Kailua nodded. "Of course, they are your granddaughters," She smiled. She leant her head on Lo'ak's shoulder, who snaked an arm around her waist. "Oh, they're beautiful," Neytiri smiled as she held Luna, trading with Jake after a few moments. Alira cooed at the new man, while Luna eyed him suspiciously. Kailua laughed at her expression.
