BR 9

9: The path to my light.

"Which I will love and treasure with all my heart for the rest of my life, no matter what happens." Jisung closed his eyes, sighing, his heart beating at the same time, feeling pressure from the words he was hearing.

Nonetheless, his heartbeat fastens, and he feels something on his lips, making his eyes snap open in surprise.

Minho was kissing him.

He couldn't seem to move or push the latter away, so he closed his eyes as tears streamed down.

The kiss was neither harsh nor delicate. Just two lips touching each other, with so many emotions and unsaid words

After a minute or two, Minho pulled away slowly and glanced at Jisung, whose eyes were still closed, whereas the younger was in deep thought.

The words Minho said and the kiss seem too realistic, and it's making Jisung  think about his future with the older woman unconsciously.

Was he selfish to think of a future with Minho?

He doesn't know.

He doesn't want to know.

"Jisung? '' The said person glanced up, scowling at the familiar, warm eyes that made his heart beat faster. At that moment, he felt the urge to hold Minho closer to him and never let him go.

Like ever.

"You aren't selfish, Han." The younger one looked surprised.

"Don't be surprised; I know what you are thinking, but let me speak first, okay?" Minho said, caressing his younger soulmate's face.

"Do you know how many people admire you?" Jisung  shook his head, a bit confused about what Minho was going to say.

"If you don't, then... I'm one of them."

"Huh?" Jisung  exclaimed, shocked. Minho smiled, caressing Jisung 's cheeks.

"Believe it or not, but you were always the talk among industries. I've always admired you and your hard work. I always thought whoever is going to be your soulmate must be the luckiest. When I... " He paused, slowly tracing the scars, making Jisung flinch slightly, but the younger didn't move back at the touch.

He didn't feel uncomfortable; instead, warmth spread all over his cheeks.

"When I came to know about the accident, trust me, I felt like my heart was breaking into pieces. I have always felt this heart-to-heart connection with you since the day I saw you on the show ' Model of the Year'." He blinked his eyes, shocked.

"You knew me for three years!" Model of the Year was conducted when Jisung was new to the business world, and that day has always been special for him since he was the winner, even though he was new.

Minho nodded, smiling. "When I saw your face that day, I was shocked, not because of this." He continued caressing the scars.

"But because you are my soulmate. If it weren't for the fact that I saw you on TV, we would have met each other. Then yet again, destiny was on our side." Minho chuckled.

"You visited me when I was dead drunk. You don't know how blissful I felt at that time, and each passing second made me realize that you are indeed my soulmate, and it's not my drunken delusion."

He sobbed, hugging Minho tightly and feeling newfound feelings around him.

"Minho, please stop making my heartbeat fast; I don't want to feel this way." Minho hugged him closer and hushed him.

"Jisung, I know it's too quick for you, but please move in with me. I promise I will not make you uncomfortable. Just please don't leave me alone." Jisung  moved away from the hug, glancing at Minho.

It's too much for him to take at all. The warmth, the giddiness, the fear—everything seems to be taking a toll on him.

"The one who should be left alone should be me, Minho." Minho raised his eyebrows, surprised.

"What are you saying?"

"I don't have anything to give you in return, Minho," Jisung said, crying. "I don't have a family, a stable job, looks, and I don't even love..." Minho pulled Jisung close to his chest, and Jisung held Minho's shirt in his fists and cried his heart out.

Minho let his little soulmate wet his shirt with tears and snorts. He didn't care about it; all he cared about now was his moon, who was hugging him as if his life depended on him.

They stayed like that in each other's embrace, in silence. The cries had long died down. No one even tried to break the livable quietness around them. The warmth that surrounded them made them feel as if they were finally at home.

Jisung sighed, slowly nestling into the crook of Minho's neck, making goosebumps spread over the elder's body.

The neck was Minho's sensitive area, and Jisung's warm breath wasn't doing anything merciful.

"Han…" Jisung hummed, nuzzling more into his newfound comfort place, not knowing he was creating trouble for Minho.

Minho bit his lips to prevent the sound from coming from his lips. He slowly patted Jisung 's back, making the latter look up.

"What happened? Is my weight troubling you?" Jisung asked, worriedly.

"Ah? Nothing! I was just calling you unknowingly." Jisung frowned at Minho's nervous face, but didn't point out further, so he just shrugged, continuing the little torture unknowingly.

As the younger boy snuggled closer, his hips accidentally brushed over Minho's small yet big problem, making both of them freeze.

Minho's ears started turning red while Jisung  pulled away from Minho and looked everywhere, blushing.

"Ahem, I guess it's time to leave now," Minho announced, not looking at the blushing Jisung  and coughing a bit to feel less embarrassed about the situation.

The older man stood up, ready to leave, but he turned around and glanced at the younger man, who looked up in confusion.

Without giving it much thought, Minho leaned forward, held the younger man's face in both hands, and slowly placed a small kiss over his forehead, leaving Jisung breathless and a blushing mess.

"See you later, Han." Minho said, leaving the room, slightly tripping on his way to the door, making Jisung break into a small smile.

The younger man glanced at the now-closed doors and looked outside the window, watching the dark sky scattered with small, pearl-like stars. He smiled widely.

"Maybe I should give it a try." He mumbled while looking at the moon, which reminded him of Minho.

The light to his darkness.
