ch.11

The cab pulled up just a block away from the destination and Tori stumbled out, flicking a tip to the driver before bundling off. The girl sprinted as fast as she could, attempting to dodge every oncoming obstacle, desperate to reach Tony before he did something utterly stupid.

Tori reached the glass doors, huffing puffing with all her might. Slowly, she pushed the doors open and entered the eerie, quiet building. She raced towards the elevator punching the up button, before the doors opened with a screech and she pushed the button to Tony's floor.

Tori tumbled out of the elevator running down the hallway, throwing her purse to the side with her coat while chucking her shoes away. Huffing, she soon reached Tony's room and threw open the door to find Tony no where to be seen. Hearing the sound of a shower turning off, her head snapped towards the bathroom.

She treaded towards the bathroom door, careful as to not barge in and cause Tony to freak out. She rapped her knuckles against the door, "Tony?" A muffled huff answered her question and she contuined to talk. "I'm sorry for this afternoon. It wasn't kind of me to yell at you very crudely--" She gasped as the door flung open, revealing Tony with a white towel wrapped around his waist. Her face flushed at the sight but her features immediately fell when her eyes found the cuts littering his hands. He brushed past her and into his room, sitting down on his bed and running his hands through his damp hair.

Tony looked up at her with sad, tired eyes. "Why did you leave your date?"

"Well..." she trailed off before Tony felt the bed sink beside him. "I wanted to say sorry... I was being a fool and I don't know what came over me. I - I..." Tori didn't notice the tears that leaked out of her eyes until Tony's calloused hands cupped her cheeks and using his thumbs, he wiped them away. Tori looked to him smiling softly before leaning against his bare shoulder. "You know, I'd rather leave my date for you."

Tony's stomach fluttered with butterflies at her words and he couldn't stop the beaming smile that crept onto his face. He draped his arm around her shoulder and pulled her closer.

Tori looked towards his cupboard before speaking up. "You should get dressed." She turned back to him. "I should leave." She went to get up, only for Tony to pull her back down into his lap, making Tori's face flush at the the small space between the two. Her hands rested on his shoulders as she looked at anything besides Tony. "Tori ...look at me." She kept her gaze to the doorway of the room, her cheeks burning a bright red as Tony directed her to face him with two of his fingers under her chin. "Tori, look at me." He cooed causing the girl to look at him.

"I'm sorry." she mumbled, referring to earlier. He chuckled softly, leaning in to lay a soft kiss against her fore head.

"There." he said, picking Tori up and moving her onto the bed before pacing over to his cupboard. He threw a few t-shirts, suits and pants out before he inspects his favourite shirt and pulls out a pair of pants. With his clothes in his hand he strutted over to the bathroom and before closing the door, he turns around to her. "Also, I believe you look pretty gorgeous in that dress." he grins, shutting the door.

She smiles as her face heats up again before getting up from the bed, and walking towards his dresser only to see broken glass. Her brows furrowed together while reaching out to pick the glass up, to find a label of a brand that Tony liked. Turning back to the closed door, she sighed and cleaned the glass up while thinking about all the possibilities that there was broken glass in Tony's room.

"So, you want to get take out?" Tony's voice pulled her out of her trance she was in, before she turned to him frowning her eyes staring at him.

"Tony.....?"

"Yeah?"

"Why was there broken glass on your dresser?" She walked closer to him.

He stared at her before sighing and slumping. Tori walked towards him wrapping him up in her arms, while he returned the hug back holding onto her like she would disappear if he didn't hold her tight enough. She tucked her head into the crook of his neck and placed a light kiss there, before pulling back and looking him dead in the eye. "Why was there broken glass, Tony?"

"I - I... um.." he stuttered, holding tightly onto her arms to keep him standing up.

"Tony?" She demanded.

"I was drinking, and got angry and threw them, okay!" He broke, his voice raising with anger.

Tori nodded, understanding why he would do such a thing. "Okay, thank you for answering me." She took his hands in hers, turning them over so that the palms of his hands faced her, showing the cuts that were left there from the glass. "Lets clean these up, hey?" She smiled at Tony, only for him to smile back.

"Sure."

The two walked back into the bathroom, Tori pulling the first aid out from the cupboard as Tony sat down on the toilet lid. She turned back to him, holding her hand out for his. He placed his injured hand in her's and let her take care of it, only to make him smile as she worked with her tounge sticking out of her mouth. The two sat like that for a while, before Tori finished up tierd and fell asleep against Tony's comfy bed while he snuggled up to her, wrapping his arm around her waist and bringing the blankets over the two of them.

"Night Tori." Tony whispered before falling asleep.
