Chapter 7
Sorry for any mistakes :(
The cold water splashed onto my face. I grabbed the rag next to me on the sink and dried my face. It was 8 in the morning and we were going to meet up with the guy today. I got the feeling that I had to be ready.
We don't know what could happen. We could be attacked. It was a risky move and I wasn't really thinking at that moment. Now I have to pay for that.
I'd be lying if I didn't say I was worried or nervous. I didn't know what I was getting us into. I don't know who this person is or what she wants.
I sighed and quickly pulled my black hair into a bun. Elliot walked into the bathroom and wrapped his arms around me from behind.
Before I could speak he stopped me, "I know you're worried, but I trust you. You were trying to protect us and our family. We will be okay. You have to believe that or all hope will be gone."
I sighed and nodded my head. Why does he always still manage to always know what to say. It's like some magic spell or something.
"Thank you." I whisper breaking the comfortable silence.
He kisses my shoulder and rubs my back with his hand softly, slowly, and soothingly, "Don't mention it, Little Fighter."
He smiles at me and I smile back at him from the mirror. I always loved hearing. It reminded me of the past and how I found the most amazing person.
With the thoughts about how much I love him, I turn around and kiss his lips very gently. When I pull back I smile at him, "I love you."
He smiles and pecks my forehead, "I love you too."
I hear Gavin crying and I know he is awake. I leave the bathroom and go to my baby. He is kicking and swinging his arms around wanting to get up. I smile down at him even if he is crying pretty loudly.
I pick him up and rock him a little. Once he is up and looking at the world around him he is quiet and smiling looking around the room. I smile at my baby boys adorable smile.
I look back at Elliot who is still in the bathroom brushing his teeth. Then, I look back down at Gavin. This is my life, my family and I would do anything to protect them.

I stood next to Elliot outside the apartment. It was dark outside and only getting darker. The sky was blue making me remember how my name Blue Night originally was created.
We have been waiting for half an hour and every minute that past by made me even more and more nervous. My hands started to sweat.
Elliot was silent and I didn't know what he felt. He would place his hand on my shoulder for comfort every once and a while, but that was it.
We stood there for another 10 minutes as the sky darkened. Elliot casually giving me a supporting squeeze of the shoulder every 3 minutes.
I didn't see him, but Elliot did so he tapped my shoulder and I looked where he was looking. I saw the same familiar face from last night. It was just him walking towards us with baggy jeans and a gray hoodie on.
I sighed when I looked around to make sure he was alone and it look like it was. When Elliot saw me looking around he grabbed my sweaty hand for comfort. I calmed down a little, but was still alert. I'm trying to be ready for anything.
Once the guy made his way over to us I could see the slight beard that was growing on his face. He didn't look old at all. He looked about our age maybe a little older and the beard really wasn't working for him.
"I have news to tell you." He said and we both looked at him expectingly.
He sighed, "I don't think she is suspicious about me which is good."
"That's good." Elliot agreed nodding, but I could tell he really wanted answers just like me.
"So you said you have news?" I asked impatiently.
He looked at me, "My name is Bryan by the way."
I smile politely, "I'm sure you know our real names."
"Yeah, that's how I knew you were Blue Night when you caught me last night. She told all of us and showed us you fights."
I nod my head, "Okay, you have news?" I ask again.
He nods, "Right, I do. Well, she calls herself Shadow. She won't tell us her real name."
"Is that all?" Elliot asks for me.
"Yeah, that's all I got." He said putting his hands in his jean pockets.
I furrow my eyebrows, "I don't know anybody named Shadow. Has she fought in street fighting?" I ask Bryan.
He shakes his head, "She said she hasn't."
I look at Elliot for answers as to if he is familiar with the name Shadow. He looks just as confused as me which isn't a great sign.
I think about the people she is training, "How many people is she training again?"
"Seven including me. Five guys and two girls." He says.
"How did she find you guys?" I ask.
"We all just really want to fight and we want to train. Some of them are brutal. I mean I would never be friends with them. Let alone get in their way.
I nod my head and open my mouth to reply but before I could I heard the loud boom that was sadly familiar.
I look at Elliot panicked and Bryan looked like he is going to piss his pants. I heard it again closer and I knew.
It was a gun and we were being shot at.
