Sorry for any mistakes :(

  "What? Why?" Sarah asked.

I grabbed the keys to Elliot's truck and turned back to Sarah, "Because umm I have to get something."

Sarah furrowed her brows, "You can't lie to me Sam. I can tell when you are. Plus, it's too dangerous. Who was it on the phone?" She asked while her eyes locked on Samantha's while also rocking Gavin.

I sighed, "I have to go Sarah."

"Where are you going?" I heard Elliot's voice call from the door way of the kitchen.

I turned around to face him, "I'm going to the apartment."

His eyes widened, "And why would you do that?" Now he was only a few inches away from me.

"The neighbors called about noise in our apartment." I replied.

He ran his hand through his hair, "I'm going, you stay here with Gavin." He finally said.

  "What?! No, I can protect myself!"

  "You don't think I know that! But, if I'm not there, I don't know what will happen." He said and rubbed my cheek, "and I can't lose you."

I took a shaky breath,"We can go together while Sarah and Ricky stay here with Gavin."

  He simply nodded and we both looked at Sarah who was holding Gavin and Ricky who was now standing behind her with his hand on her shoulder.

  They nodded letting us know they understood and they would stay here with Gavin.

  "Be safe." Sarah said, "both of you." 

   "We will and we'll be back soon." I responded and grabbed Elliot's hand. He looked down briefly at our hands and then I led us out of the house, giving Gavin a kiss on his small head before leaving.

  "We go in together slowly. Be aware of your surroundings." Elliot said.  We are standing outside of our apartment next to the truck.

  I nodded," Okay."

  He squeezed my hand one last time before we walked up the stairs to where our apartment door is.

It was quiet and I know all of our neighbors living in the apartment building were most likely asleep by now. I walked in front of Elliot slowly down the hall to our apartment door.

Once we were standing in front of the apartment door, I turned the knob and the door opened. I know I locked it before we left. This just makes me more cautious and worried about who would be in our apartment.

  I like back at Elliot who only nodded once and that was the signal to tell me he was right behind me.

  I opened the door more and am met with the darkness of our apartment. I switched the light on and everything looked exactly as we left it. I walked into the kitchen and it looked the same as well. Elliot followed me down the hallway where the two bedrooms and the bathroom were. The bathroom door was wide opened and looked the same.

I opened the door to Gavin's nursery and flipped on the light switch, still looked the same. I started to get confused. Why would someone come into our apartment, leave the door unlocked, and just leave nothing different.

I turned to Elliot, "This is strange." I spoke while looking around Gavin's nursery.

"Yeah, I'm gonna go check out our room." He said pointing his thumb towards the door. I nodded and he left the nursery.

  I couldn't believe that someone would ever try to come after us after two years of us dropping out of street fighting. I don't understand what the person wanted.

  I sighed and ran my hand on top of a spare blanket of Gavin's that we didn't take with us. I smiled at the thought of my baby boy. He was so adorable and even though I didn't plan on him, he was the happiest thing in my life besides Elliot. Those two guys are my world and I could never let anything happen to them.

  "Samantha!" I suddenly heard Elliot's loud voice shout out to me from our bedroom followed by a loud groan and a slight whimper.

  I immediately ran out of the nursery and into our bedroom. At the time I stepped foot in the room I saw Elliot strike a male in the face. He was dressed in black, just like the person before but this time it's a male. So that mean there is more than one person. What do they want?

  I threw those thoughts away once I noticed Elliot was on the floor now and I could see a hint of red dripping from his nose. I charged towards the guy but he saw me coming before I could get him from behind.

  He grabbed my right arm and gripped roughly and used his other hand to strike towards my face. I ducked and gripped the arm that gripped mine, folding it behind his back. That hold didn't last long before he got free kicking the back of my knee making me fall to m knees. Once his fist came up, Elliot's covered it and the guys back went straight to Elliot's back hard.

  The guy fell limp on the ground holding his back and groaning out in pain. I quickly held his arms down while Elliot ripped off the black mask he wore.

  It was time to get answers and who it was trying to mess with us. Once Elliot pulled the mask off and we saw his face my eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

I hope you liked this chapter. I was going to post last Saturday but I didn't reach my goal. I will be updating every Saturday or Sunday from now on.
