Chapter 4

Sorry for any mistakes :(

I side stepped and strike aiming for his jaw making him duck. I kneed his torso confusing him before colliding my foot to the back of his knee ending up with him on the floor on his back.

I was breathing  heavy and sweating heavy. It was only one in the afternoon and I felt tired. I was way more rusty than I had thought.

I sighed and reached my hand to Elliot and helped him up. He had a tank top on drenched in sweat.

"Man, if you can kick my ass then I know I've lost some of my touch." Elliot said wiping his forehead with his towel.

I sighed, "I feel so lost now. I used to be able to go and kick ass but now I feel like shit."

Elliot sat down next to me with wide eyes, "Samantha, you are still kicking ass. You just put me on mine. You have gone through child birth, a bullet wound that almost ended your life, and two year of never even throwing a punch."

I sighed and put my greasy hair up in a bun. I knew he was right but I still felt a little bit off. I laid my head on his shoulder, "I know. Thank you."

He kissed my head, "You're welcome."

I grabbed the water bottle next to my gym bag. It sort of felt like old time when I would go to the visit everyday with the same gym bag. I haven't been to the gym and I haven't fought in a long time.

I gulped down the ice could water making my through sigh with satisfaction. I was very sweaty and I haven't felt this way in a while. I wasn't in the best shape as I used to be. I mean I don't fight at all anymore. I used to fight every week against good fighters.

I sighed after drinking and put the bottle next to my bag on the bench like it was before.

I took that time to look at the people around us. Their eyes were wide and on us trying to discreetly look over at us once they saw my eyes on them. I waved and they all confusingly waved back. I ignored them and turned back to Elliot who was in the middle of taking his shirt off.

I groaned put my hands on my hips. Elliot put his shirt on top of his bag. He heard me and looked at me, his eyebrows furrowed, "What's wrong?"

I looked down at his sweaty chest and not my lip. I used to see him fight every time without his shirt on as Randy vicious and plenty of times while he was getting dressed as well as some very intimate moments that eventually led to Gavin, but I'll never get used to it.

He smirked at me once he saw my eyes trail his body. He knew the effect he had on me still.

"You like what you see?" He asked cocky.

"Why do you think I said yes?" I responded smiling at him.

He chuckled, "Just for my body?"

"Oh yeah." I said sarcastically nodding my head. I walked up to him and pecked his lips.

"You still look sexy to me and I don't really like all these girls eyes on what is mine."  I whispered to him.

He looked up and politely smiled at the women looking at him, their jaws on the floor.

"I think I kind of like the attention."

I glared at him and smiled once I got an idea. I unzipped the black hoodie I have on making me in just my short black shorts and a red sports bra.

"That's funny because I think I kind like it too." I said quietly to him.

He was next to groan and glare at me. I smiled sweetly and then put my hands up, "You gonna hit or stand back and glare at me?"

His glare deepened, "You are one annoying, sexy, strong, beautiful, but obnoxious women ever." He said sighing at the end as he scanned his eyes from my sneakers back to my face that was smiling.

"Hey, who was the one who got down on one knee?" I asked.

He shook his head, "God woman you're killing me." He said before finally trying out his first move that quickly blocked.

I wiped my wet skin with the towel. I shivered slightly as I pulled my hair up into the towel to let it dry. I quickly got dressed in one of Elliot's shirts and a pair of shorts.

I pulled my long dark brown hair out of the pink and black towel. I brushed through it while I blow dried it. Elliot stepped into the bathroom.

"Sarah called. She said Gavin is asleep in the car and they'll be here in a few minutes."

I nodded my head as I brushed out my hair one last time. We were in the safe house again after getting back from the gym an hour ago.

"Tell her to just walk in." I said putting the blow dryer away. We moved some stuff from the apartment this morning. I don't know how long we'll be here, but I think we'll just have to move somewhere else. That thought made me upset since that apartment was out first together even before he knew about who I was. We also had a lot of memories here, in this house.

"You know Sarah never knocks so I won't even bother." He said with a little bit of bitterness.

I laughed since he most likely is thinking about the time Sarah walked into our room without knocking. It was the night we first had time alone since Gavin was born. He was only 2 months old and Sarah watched him for us. That was when she decided to walk right into a very intimate moment because she forgot to grab the baby bag.

That sort of killed the vibe and we hadn't had a chance for another two weeks. He still holds a little grudge because of it.

I hear the front door open. I kissed his cheek before leaving the bathroom to see my adorable baby boy.

"There is mommy's baby boy." I say smiling down at him. He was awake now. He smiled small once he saw me, his mother. I picked him up from Sarah's arms. I could tell Sarah had Horton bigger. She keeps getting bigger  everyday. Her and Ricky are going to be wonderful parents.

Sarah looked around at the house. This is only her fourth time being here. We told her and Ricky about it a few minutes after telling them who we were on my birthday.

Ricky walked in a minute later. He walked over to Elliot who now stood behind me. They walked into the kitchen talking about gut stuff or whatever they talk about.

I was about to say something to Sarah when my phone started ringing. I looked down at it on the table. Sarah picked up Gavin from me so that I could answer. I recognized the number as our neighbors at the apartment. Why would they be calling?

  I answer it, "Hello?"

"Yes, Samantha. It's Cheyenne from next door. We don't want to be rude, but we would like to ask if you guys could quiet down. Jason is trying to get a nap."

"But we aren't there." I said confused.

"Well could you ask who ever is to quiet down?"

  "Ugh yeah I'll handle it."

"Thanks. Talk to you soon." Then she hung up.

  "Who was that?" Sarah asks.

"I have to go to the apartment."
