Chapter 2

Sorry for any mistakes :)
Thank you for reading!!

"Elliot!"

I sped walked back into the apartment to find Elliot now standing his eyes on me expecting me to tell him why I just shouted when Gavin is still asleep.

"You are going to wake him up Samantha!" He whispered angrily at me.

I sighed and whispered back, "Read this!"

He grabbed it from me confused. His eyes scanned the page and I watched them widen, "What the hell is this!?"

I bit my lip and looked at the picture of me lying in the middle of the ring after I was shot at Warriors castle two years ago. Elliot was hunched down at my side tears clearly running down his face.

"I found it at the door on the floor." I answered and even before I was finish he stormed passed me to the front door probably to go looking for anybody who could have sent it.

"Elliot! Elliot! Stop, they aren't there anymore!" I said chasing after him and gripping his arm, pulling him to a stop.

He whipped back around glaring but I know he isn't angry at me personally.

I sighed and put my hands in his, "I know you want to go after who ever it was. It is very scary that someone knows about our past would know where we live."

I saw his eyes go back to the paper that was now on the floor from where I dropped it. I furrowed my brows once he walked past me before I could continue.

He picks up the paper and his turns it to the back and his eyes widen after five seconds of scanning the words on the page.  I notice the back before so I walk over and look at the paper over his shoulder.

I gasp once I read the one small sentence written on the paper.

Watch your back Blue Night because you never know when I might strike.

I immediately get ready for anything. I haven't felt so aware since 2 years ago when I was Blue Night every week and I had enemies I couldn't count on my finger. I would need about four or five more hands.

I headed to our peaceful sleeping handsome baby. I gently rocked him in my arms relieved he was fine. I know it was a very slight chance he was hurt or something happened, but it still feels good to know he is alive, well, and just as adorable as before.

I didn't know what came over me when I felt my tears wet my cheeks. It was most likely because I was overwhelmed with protection for my son.

I felt Elliot's hand on my shoulder as he started to soothingly run it while I rocked our baby scared to let go.

I eventually handed him over to Elliot when he reached out for him. I paced the room.

"Little Fighter, just calm down. Breath Samantha." Elliot said softly as he rocked Gavin.

I opened my mouth to reply, but was stopper by the sound of the doorbell. I looked at Elliot wide eyed.

"Watch him." I whispered at Elliot and he immediately nodded.

I pressed my back against the wall next to the door, "Be careful." Elliot whispered.

I nodded my head again and opened the door quickly. I was again met with silence and no one in sight. This time there was no letter or any sort of sign anywhere.

I turned back around the door still wide open behind me. I stared at Elliot confused, "There is nothing th-"

"Sam! Behind you!" Elliot cut me off loudly.

I turned around quickly and only got a glimpse of a female figure hidden behind a black ski mask before she threw her first hit to my shoulder quickly.

I hisses in pain. I was really rusty but I knew how to take pain still. That is when she lifted her hand again for a second one but I ducked down and grabbed the arm that was mid way in the air pulling it behind her back pulling and putting pressure on it.

She groaned in pain. I pushed down a little more making her groan even louder.

"Who are you?"

She didn't answer and kept groaning out in pain. I sighed and reached to grip the bottom of her ski mask to reveal who it really was myself, but she broke free swiftly pushing me forward. I quickly recovered and whipped back around to face her, but whoever she was, she was out the door just as quickly as she came.

I didn't fully relax until I checked the hall and I shut the front door locking it behind me.

"Pack a few things. It's not safe here." I said to Elliot who was holding Gavin who somehow still was sound asleep.

He nodded his head and we both started to gather cloths and all of Gavin's things.

We were done within the next ten minutes. I was too busy making sure we had everything we needed I didn't hear Elliot's slight gasp.

He grabbed my chin and made me face him. That was when I realized my nose was bleeding. She must have elbowed me when she escaped and I didn't notice.

"I'm fine Elliot. We have to go." I said and grabbed the bag with mine and Gavin's things in it out the front door.

I could hear a frustrated sigh and then footsteps follow behind me. Elliot carried a still sleeping Elliot and a bag with his things in it.

I locked the door behind us as Elliot passed me going down the steps, careful not to wake Gavin up.

I put the keys to the apartment in my bag. I walked down the steps just when Elliot started the truck and Gavin was strapped in, in the back seat.

I hopped into the truck in the passenger side and put the bag on the other side of Gavin in the back.

"Where are we going?" Elliot asked.

I sighed, "The safe house." I replied and we were off.

I'm so sorry I haven't updated. I recently have been very sick. Hopefully I will be better after I take the medicine the doctor gave me.

Sorry again. This chapter is not edited. I will eventually get around to that. The next update won't be that long away.

Thanks for reading and hopefully like my book :)

Thanks XOXO,
