"You ready?" I asked as I started to get out of the car. We had just got to the park where we had decided to hold the picnic.

"Yeah. Let's just hope she doesn't throw a tantrum." Joshua sighs as he collects Josie from her car seat. Josie woke up in a bad mood, and we had no clue why.

She pushes against Joshua's chest, asking to be put down. Josie continues to struggle as we grabbed the games that we planned on playing and toys to keep Josie occupied.

She finally relaxes when we let her walk for a bit. She grips onto my hand as I leaned down for her to grab it. Joshua's larger hand grips onto my other hand as we walked.

When we passed a tree, we saw our friends relaxing on a large blanket that definitely fit all of us. They were all messing around, laughing at each other's jokes.

Iris looks up from her phone and at Josie. "Hey, girl!" She cheers. Josie perks up, pulls away from us and walks over to them. Joshua sets the games down as we sat down on the blanket.

"Okay! So! We brought some snacks for Josie, and some good food for the rest of us." Hailey points out, gesturing to the picnic basket a few feet away from us. "We brought games like y'all asked." I chuckled as I watched Josie play with Iris. "Oh, you brought the good ones! Yes ma'am!" Xander laughs, earning a laugh from all of us. Josie proceeds to make her way around the group as we talked about random things.

"No, listen! Do y'all remember when Iris literally fell down the stairs at school freshman year?" I laughed as Josie crashed into Ryan's lap.

"Ha! I remember seeing that from across the courtyard!" Joshua loudly laughs, placing his hand on his chest as he laughs.

"Shut up! Angel literally fell face first during one of her lacrosse games." Iris laughs, chewing on a piece of fruit from her fruit salad. Josie notices the fruit, and makes her way over to Iris, keeping her balance by holding onto everyone as she passes.

"Hey! The bitch purposely tripped me!" I loudly laughed, watching Josh take some chocolate. "Babe, watch your mouth." Joshua chuckles, gesturing to Josie. "Sorry." I laughed, placing my head on his shoulder. Iris hands Josie a couple pieces of fruit.

"At least that's over." I sighed, grabbing a piece of cheese. "Agreed!" Hailey laughs, turning her attention away from Ryan.

A few birds landed behind us, which I only saw because I saw movement in the corner of my eye. Josie ventures over to Josh, fruit all over her mouth.

We continued to talk as he showed her the birds. "Wait, you did that?" Xander asks Isabella, laughing. "I did, actually. But let's move on." She laughs, scrolling through her phone.

"You guys remember that one time-." Hailey started, but was cut off by Josie screaming at the birds. Turning around, I saw her pointing at the birds and Josh was covering his mouth as he laughed. She angrily points her fingers at them before sighing and turning back to us, acting like nothing happened. Joshua laughs as he leans back, laying on the grass now.

"I swear, she acts exactly like Joshua." Ryan laughs. "I know, right!" I laughed, leaning over to look at him amongst Joshua's laughter.

Josie sits down next to Josh as he calms down from his laughing fit. Every few minutes, a couple giggles would leave his mouth as he thought about the whole incident.

The song changes from Jordan Fisher to Niall Horan's 'Black and White.'

"Yes!" I exclaimed, dancing to myself as I ate another piece of cheese. Joshua sings along with me as he wipes Josie's face free from fruit juice. Josie ventures away from him as soon as he finishes and wanders over to Iris. Joshua's arm drapes over my shoulders as the song comes to a close.
