It's been two weeks since Josh and I got married. We haven't told any of our friends or anything.
I was currently standing in the school library, talking to Hailey and Iris. "So, what did you guys do for your one year?" Hailey asks. Smiling, I looked down at my hand that was curled around my strap attached to my bag. "Um, he took my out to dinner and we have each other some gifts." I smiled as I looked back up at them. "That's cute!" They exclaimed before looking behind me. I looked back to Josh approaching. The taller brown haired boy bounces over to us.
"Guess what! I got a 98 on my exam!" Josh happily cheers. "That's amazing, baby!" I exclaim before side hugging him briefly as the other congratulate him. He blushes as we pulled away. "Wait, why do you two have rings on your wedding fingers?" Iris points out.
We both turned to my two best friends. "Um, should we tell them?" I asked as I looked up at him. "If we tell you guys, you have to keep it a secret." Josh softly says. They both nod before moving in closer.
"We got married." I softly spoke. Their faces light up as they process the information. "I'm so happy for you guys!" They both cheered before hugging the two of us. "Thanks guys." We chuckled before pulling away.
"I have to get going, I'll see you guys later?" Joshua asks as he leans down, but still looks into the conversation. The three of us nodded in confirmation. Josh smirks before closing the distance between us briefly and making his way to Football practice.

Around three months later, I was really missing Josh while he was studying at his place. I was currently reading one of my favorite book in my room when my mom yelled out my whole name. "Angelina Taylor Evans!" She screams.
Uh oh, I was in deep trouble.
Placing my book down, I made my way down the stairs with my heart beating out my chest.
"Call Joshua and his mom, tell them to come over. It's urgent." She scowls at me as I stood in front of her at the island. Jake looks up from his book at the island, not meeting my eyes.
Nodding, I grabbed my phone from my packet and called Josh. It rang for a few moments as my mom stared into my soul.
"Hey, baby. What's up?" He answers. "My mom told me to tell you and your mom to get over here. It's urgent." I quickly spoke. "Hey, just stay calm. I'll be there in a few. I love you." He assured me. "I love you too." I softly said before hanging up. My mom or Jake didn't say anything, so I sat down on the couch as I waited for Josh. My leg bounced nervously as I bit at my nails. As I waited, a headache approached. And god, it was getting worse as time went on.
A knock at the door brought me out of my thoughts. I was hoping they didn't find out we secretly got married. When I looked up, I was met with Jake opening the door and letting them in. I stood up and met them at the door. Josh instantly wraps and arm around me before pressing a soft kiss on my head. "Sit down, please." My mom tells us as we pulled away. Nodding, we sat down on the love seat and waited for them to join us. They talked quietly about us in the kitchen. Josh intertwines our fingers as I watched them.
"I'm scared." I confessed. "Hey, I am too. But It's okay, I'm here." He assures me before caressing my thumb with his. As I watched him do this, tears clouded my vision. "What if I lose you?" I softly asked as I looked up at him. "You're not going to lose me, I promise." Josh says as the three of them joined us.
"Why didn't you tell us you two got secretly married?" Laura asks. Sighing, I placed my head in my hands. "We were scared..." Josh trails off. "It was my idea." I confessed as I looked back up at them. "It takes two to get married, Angel." Jake sighs. Well, at least he didn't call me by my whole name.
"I'm sorry." I sighed as I looked at all their faces. They looked so disappointed in us. "It was really irresponsible of you two. What if you guys decide to break up? Or Angel gets pregnant somehow?" Laura asks.
"She on the pill and I use protection!" Josh defends, but keeps his voice soft. "Look, I'm sorry we didn't get your permission but we wanted to do this." Josh says. "How did you guys find out?" I asked. Josh drops my hand and placed his hand on the bridge of his nose in attempt to calm himself down. "A friend of mine saw you two at the courthouse in casual wedding attire. They just told me." Mom says. Nodding, I looked down at my feet. Josh reaches and interlocks our fingers again in a comforting way, caressing my thumb in the process.
"I'm sorry, but we don't regret what we did." I defended us. "We understand, we just wish you would have told us. We could have figured out a way. You guys are at your happiest when you're together, we can tell this is going to last. Please, just don't break each other's hearts." Laura explains. I let out a sigh of relief before leaning into Josh's side. "So you're not mad?" Josh softly asks.
"No, just disappointed." Jake nods. Nodding, I leaned my head on Josh's shoulder and physically relaxed. "We were waiting until we were 18 to get a house together." I explained for the two of us. "We've looked into apartments." Josh explains. The three of them nod as they processed the information.
"You guys can go." Laura smiles as my mom nods. Jake smiles at the two of us before getting up and making coffee. "Can we leave the house?" Josh softly asked. They all nodded in confirmation. I took my head off his shoulder and stood up with him before stretching. He gently wraps his arm around my waist before leading me out of the house, grabbing my keys by the door.
