Easy as it Gets
Scratchmen Apoo led you downstairs and out a back door to his car. You were expecting some flashy sports car, or maybe a classic. Instead, you were not amused to find a freaking limo complete with his own chauffeur. And here you thought he couldn't get more full of himself. What happened to gang leaders being a little more inconspicuous?
You did your best to make it seem like the gaudy ride impressed you and it apparently worked. Apoo had a sparkle in his eye as he let you in first and slid beside you afterwards. He wasted no time slinging an arm over the back of the seat and around your shoulder, pressing you into his chest.
"I have to ask," He started as the limo got moving. "what's it like being the dragon?"
"Well, it has its ups and downs." You didn't like that the top of your dress had pulled down a tad when he got cozy with you. It was giving him an even better look at your breasts than he had before.
"Like....?" He moved in to nuzzle along your neck, conveniently missing your growing look of distaste at his actions at the same time.
"It comes with a lot of power, more than most people think. But they expect more out of me at the same time because of it."
"Hmm, I can see that." He puffed hot air against your skin and grinned when it made you shiver. If only he knew it was you finding him creepy rather than exciting. "You know what, let's forget 'dragon' talk for a moment."
Apoo suddenly pulled away and reached over to a mini fridge sitting nearby, tucked between some of the seats. He snatched up a bottle of champagne out of it and a couple glasses sitting beside it. When he pressed an overhead button that slid the partition between you two and the driver up, you started to feel nervous. He must have not got the message when you said you weren't keen on doing anything in a more public place. As far as you were concerned, vehicles fell under the same category.
On a good note, you were on the move and you didn't doubt that meant Kid and the others were as well. They were able to keep track of you through your phone. It was firmly held in place against your chest, shoved between skin and fabric since you lacked a purse. It was only a matter of time until they caught up and got you out of this.
"How about a drink?" Apoo offered, jerking you out of your thoughts. "You look like you could use one."
"Uh," Killer told you not to accept drinks from anyone, so of course you hesitated. "I think I'm good." You shook your head.
He raised an eyebrow at you before he let out a small chuckle. "Oh, I get it. You ladies are always so careful about these kinds of things aren't you. Look, we'll be sharing the bottle and it's not even been opened yet."
To emphasize his point, he made a big show of opening it and giving you a confident smirk.
"I'm not interested in drugging women up. I don't mean to brag, but I have plenty of willing options on a regular basis. Here."
He pushed a full glass into your hands and held the other as he replaced the bottle in the fridge. Turning it down again might look suspicious and with the job almost being done, it wouldn't hurt to just sip at the champagne. With that, you gave in and tentatively tried it. Killer never bought the stuff and you hadn't tried it before since you were dirt poor before meeting him. Alcohol in general was a luxury unless it came from Delilah.
It wasn't bad. The taste was light, a little fruity, and sure didn't seem off. You relaxed, not realizing you were starting to tense up. If you wanted to keep him nearby long enough for Kid and the others to take over, you needed to work on keeping a better hold of yourself. You took another drink and Apoo went back to getting cozy with you.
"So I hear they call you Blue?" He asked, eyes roving over your body hungrily.
"Yeah," You crossed your legs, which only drew his attention down low. "since my eye turned blue it kinda stuck."
"Fitting." He balanced his full glass on a thigh and reached over to caress yours. "What's your real name then?"
That must have not circulated through the gangs like the rest of the information on you did. And that made you a little happy, even if you were in the middle of practically getting felt up.
"I haven't told many people what it is." You swallowed back bile with a bigger sip of your drink as his hand glided dangerously close to your covered womanhood and over to your belly.
"C'mon, you can tell me."
You finished your glass quickly and felt your nerves dull down. "I-its (Y/n)."
"(Y/n)." He purred. "I like it."
You frowned. You'd planned on just having him stick to your nickname. Why'd you let your real name go so easily? It took ages to tell it to Killer, and even then you were hesitant.
"Now (Y/n)," Apoo grabbed a handful of hair and you gasped in surprise as he tugged harshly. "it's so sweet that you decided to come see me but I think it's rude that you didn't tell me why."
"That...that hurts!" Your tongue felt heavy and you were struggling to form words.
"Tell me what you're up to and I'll be gentle." He snickered as he reached into your bra and pulled your phone out.
"Give that back...."
"No can do, I'm the one making demands here." His window moved down far enough with the press of a button for him to chuck the device out the window before it slid back up, keeping you from other people's view. "Now talk."
You winced as he jerked your head back into him, his free hand wrapping around your jaw. Your head felt foggy and words spilled out of your mouth without your permission.
"I was supposed to get you alone......so we could take you out."
"That's it?" He scoffed. "What a simple plan. I guess I shouldn't expect any better from the Kid gang though. They aren't smart enough to use your full potential."
His hold on your hair loosened enough that it didn't hurt so bad but he nudged against your jaw until your head was craned back, making you look him in the eye.
"It was a good effort, I'll give you that, but your story wasn't believable. Why leave the Kid gang after the big show you put on with them at that party? They wouldn't let such a prize get away so easily."
"What did you....?" You squinted at him, losing your train of thought.
"What did I do to you? Easy sweetheart. You'd be surprised how simple it is to add drugs to a bottle without opening it. Makes things look deceivingly safe."
Your eyes slowly trailed to the side to notice he'd never touched his glass. At some point when the drugs were starting to take effect, he'd moved it on top of the fridge. It looked innocent enough but now you knew it was what was sapping your strength.
"It's some interesting stuff too. Fast acting and it makes the person rather loose lipped and weak. That being said, I'm not sure how much of this you'll retain but I'll fill you in on some important details anyway, I don't mind having to repeat them again."
You tried to shake yourself out of his grip but only slumped into him more. He let out a snicker as he let you go completely and you stayed pressed up against him. An arm wrapped around you to rest at your waist, fingers drumming against your hip.
"They were stupid to let you go alone. In a fight of pure strength, I don't doubt that you'd win. But you seem a little naive and easy to trick. That's what I'm good at. So here's what's going to happen; you're going to forget about the Kid gang and work for me instead. I'm sure you'll take some convincing but we've got time to get through all that."
You tried to speak but only managed to get out a few, low mumbles. Everything in you was scattered. One second you knew you should be afraid but the next all you could think about was how soft his shirt felt under your fingers. You couldn't focus on any one thing, the world felt like it was continuously tilting slowly, and time didn't feel like it was passing right. All your senses were beyond skewed.
"If you can keep up decent behavior, I may even keep you as my woman. Killer has good taste, you're quite beautiful."
A hand trailed up from your hip to your side and around to glide over the top of your breasts. Your body shivered involuntarily. Whatever he gave you had twisted how touch even felt for you. The feather light fingers over bare flesh was....enjoyable.
There was a snap and click as something cool and hard was placed around your wrist, making you immediately feel exhausted on top of everything.
"Trust me, I'm no fan of seastone either, but we can't have you breathing fire and sprouting wings when you wake up. I'll take it off when you've proven you don't need it anymore."
You wanted to get away and you wanted to ask so many questions at the same time. Not like you could though. Apoo readjusted you so you were leaning against him without being so twisted up and placed a hand over your eyes. The sudden darkness was enough to convince your body it needed rest, and you were dragged into unconsciousness.
----
"We've got a problem Eustass-ya." Law bent down to investigate the shattered piece of technology on the pavement.
This was where the signal stopped and he didn't doubt this was once the phone. It's pieces were scattered down the road, showing that it'd gone tumbling for some distance before coming to a stop here.
"What'd you find?" Killer answered before Kid could as he quickly walked up to Law.
"Her phone, or what's left of it."
Luffy joined in, crouching by his friend with a deep set frown. "So that means she's gone?"
"It means Scratchmen-ya caught on to our plan and presumably took her with him."
"FUCK!" Kid snarled and twisted around to kick the nearest vehicle. "This was supposed to be simple! You said this would work!" He turned back around to jab a furious finger in Law's chest as he straightened back out.
"There's always a chance for failure Eustass-ya, we'll do what we can to get her back and catch Scratchmen-ya."
"This shouldn't even be a problem." Kid spoke through grit teeth. "If we would've just let her burn down his club and take him, she'd still be here."
"And we'd also be on everyone's radar. This was supposed to give us an edge."
"And now we've lost our greatest asset."
"Temporarily." Killer spoke up. He was eyeing the mess that was once his lover's phone, completely expressionless.
But his balled fists gave him away. Killer was furious that she'd slipped out of his grasp. And here he thought he'd done everything he could to keep her safe.
"What?" Kid watched his friend carefully with obvious confusion.
"Temporarily." He repeated himself. "I'm not letting that shitstain keep her. We need to regroup and see if we can find any whereabouts of his properties and locations without him."
His calm demeanor was unsettling. It was the kind of calm that would be followed by unbridled anger.
"Blue is a friend." Luffy said with a fire in his eyes. "If he hurts her, he's going to pay."
"She's not your friend." Killer shot back. "And he'll pay either way. She's not some object he can claim and she's more than he could ever hope to handle."
The air was solemn as they all headed back to their respective cars, dead set on bringing Scratchmen and his gang down quickly. They had a dragon to rescue.
