Bloody Revenge

"Right there, that's the spot!" Kid pointed down to a small collection of warehouses and buildings in the heart of the city. He had to yell to be heard over the sound of wind rushing past your heads but you got the gist of what he was going for. "Flush them out and don't let any get away! Killer and I will take care of the rest!"

That was easy enough.

You swooped in closer and opened your mouth. A rumble passed through your body as fire spewed out and covered the rooftops. A shrill scream followed, just in case they weren't quite sure what was happening yet.

Kid barked with laughter as Scratchmen's gang fled the buildings in a panic. Without their leader, they lacked organization and were far from prepared for something like this. They should've expected an all out attack without Scratchmen present, you felt no pity for them. They knew exactly who took him away and you were more than ready to dish out more revenge for what he'd done to you.

You looked over your shoulder and let out a growl to Kid and Killer. That was the signal you'd agreed on some time ago for them to hold on tight. You were going in hot. Hands tugged at your feathers as their grip tightened. With a sharp twist, you dropped towards the largest building and slammed into the roof with enough force to collapse it under your weight.

You fell inside and landed on top of the rubble without breaking a sweat. Men stood around the wreckage in complete shock for a moment before snapping back to their senses. They were too slow though.

Kid and Killer launched themselves off of your back and threw themselves into the throng. Chunks of metal followed Kid, forming into a giant fist and smashing everything in it's path. Killer's blades came out and he slashed through the numbers with ease. It was like watching a dancer, he made it into an art.

With this portion under their control, you hopped back up to the roof and allowed yourself a chance to take in the surrounding buildings. Guns fired at you but the bullets bounced off harmlessly. More men had flooded into the streets and were hell-bent on trying to take you down. The area had emptied of most vehicles but a few empty ones still remained.

You wrapped your tail around a stout moving truck and lifted it with ease, tossing it at another building with a delightful crash. It startled the nearby lackeys, making them scatter and cry out.

While their fear was pleasing, the scenery wasn't. It needed more fire. You took to the air, pulled your head back, feeling the fuel move up your throat, and spewed brilliant blue flames. It wasn't at random, you were careful about where you aimed. Many of the men were baffled as to why you weren't torching them but continued to fire at you like a bullet might magically pierce your hide.

At least they were distracted, it made it all the easier to finish up with your flames. It took just about all your fuel reserves to cover such a large area, but it was worth it. The enemy wasn't going to be able to escape. You'd effectively trapped them, creating a ring of molten flames around the entire area. It took adding extra fuel so it'd stick longer and if anyone tried passing the barrier, they'd get covered in the stuff and simply burn themselves. But you doubted any of them would be willing to deal with such a painful death. That'd leave them for Kid and Killer to pick off.

Your part of the job wasn't done just yet though. The buildings had to be completely emptied of the gang members and destroyed. Well, the destruction wasn't technically necessary, but it'd send a message to the other gangs. They'd know who did it and what to expect when you moved on to them.

Flames began to sputter and you changed tactics, hitting a roof and sliding across it's surface to tear it apart. Shingles were shredded underfoot as you ripped onto the building like it was nothing more than a large cardboard box. As soon as you were able to see inside, the men hiding under you darted for the exits. You had them so spooked they were already trying to avoid you.

"Some still in there?" Killer landed beside your head and peered in. He was covered in blood, none of it his own. Even his wild, blonde locks had startling splashes of red throughout.

You nodded.

"I'll clear the rest then, why don't you go check on Kid?" He pointed over to the fiery redhead, cackling away as he smashed a couple men under his metal fist.

It was slowly growing as he added more metal to it. Everything from rubble to spent bullets made up the limb, making it all the more dangerous. He pulled it away, showing the now dead bodies and the blood pooling under them at a terrifying pace. And people thought you were scary.

Killer dropped down through the hole you'd made in the roof and you took that as your signal to work towards Kid. He had a good handle on things and definitely didn't need your help but it wouldn't hurt to see what areas he'd already gone through and focus on hitting the rest.

"Blue!" Kid shouted happily as you wrapped your body around his when a small group of lackeys opened fire on him from another rooftop.

They bounced off your body harmlessly like all the ones before and you shrieked at the men, sending them running for cover.

"Flush them out from here, I know there's some rats hiding." Kid grinned maliciously as he pointed to the nearest building.

You shook yourself, a few bullets that had become nestled in your feathers clattering to the concrete ground below. Then you were off, skittering around to the back of the building. You lined your shoulder up with the outer wall and put all your weight into slamming against it. The building let out increasingly louder groans with every hit and the brick was quickly giving way to you. The noise was too loud to hear the people inside but the sounds of battle and gunfire on the other side told you they were escaping, only to fall victim to Kids assault.

Your last hit against the wall sent you tumbling inside. It was completely cleared of life, you'd have no problem taking it down. The dust from your entrance was trying to settle but you immediately kicked up more as you covered your tail in haki and started swinging. The large feathers at the end hardened up to the point they were like blades and cut through everything they came into contact with. Walls seemed brittle and broke apart in such an explosive way that pieces flew throughout the building. Windows shattered, furniture was toss around like toys, and soon enough, the building crumbled around you, unable to withstand the attack. You crawled out of the mess, covered in debris but completely unharmed. Where Kid stood before was only a pile of bodies, he'd moved on to somewhere else.

A few of Scratchmen's men darted around a corner in your direction but skidded to a stop when they saw you. Funny enough, they weren't planning on running into you. Their eyes widened and they stumbled backwards, the fear eating away at their senses. If they only knew you weren't the one they had to worry about.

One of them let out a yelp as they backed into something. He twisted around quickly to see what had stopped his retreat, only to turn into a trembling mess when he met Killer's eyes. Your partner moved carefully, sliding his blade through the man's chest at a painstaking pace until it poked out his back, covered in blood. Even for you it was tough to watch. He sputtered, choking on his own blood before Killer pulled the blade back out and swiftly sliced it across the other man's throat.

You'd always known he'd killed in the past, him along with the rest of the gang, but seeing it made your stomach churn. Taking another's life was something you had never been able to do yourself. You had decided a long time ago that it wasn't your place to decide who lives and who dies but it didn't bother you that others would do so. At least not until you'd seen the life drain from someone's eyes. Death was always so easy to ignore when you didn't see it first hand. You had a feeling losing Delilah made you all the more sensitive to such topics.

"Blue?" Killer flicked some of the blood from his blade as he called to you curiously. "You doing alright?"

You didn't noticed that you'd frozen up. Killer was still the same person he'd always been, seeing this part of him didn't change anything. You gave him a nod before standing upright on your hind legs, getting a better view of the destruction around you. Just about everything was done. Kid was off in the distance, picking off the remainder of the Scratchmen gang that were looking for a way to escape to no avail. The buildings you hadn't touched yet were beginning to catch fire. They'd fall apart on their own.

There was the subtle sound of sirens in the background. Police would be here soon. They took longer than you expected but with an all out attack coming from three gangs all across the city, it made sense. They were scrambling to address what they could. Escaping would be easy though, a few men armed with guns and badges couldn't stop you.

"We need to finish up here." Killer said, hearing the sirens as well.

You agreed. While you could take the police, it didn't mean you wanted to. There'd already been enough death for one day.

----

"That was surprisingly easy." Usopp commented.

All three gangs had gathered at one of the warehouses after everything was done. At least those that mattered. The majority of the Kid gang had dispersed to go celebrate on their own time along with much of the Heart gang. That left all of the Strawhats, Law, his two top men Penguin and Shachi, and all of the higher ups on Kid's side. Long story short, half the alliance had gathered.

"We have the varied skill sets and numbers to make it so, long nose-ya." Law replied. He tapped the top of a cardboard box by his seat. "And we managed to get quite the stash of supplies. Scratchmen-ya liked to keep well stocked."

"His numbers are cleared as well." Killer added, scratching at some dried, flakey blood lining his jaw. "It's safe to say the On Air gang is terminated."

"What about Scratchmen himself?" You asked, earning the attention of everyone in the room.

The air was filled with a temporary silence. Everyone knew he beat the shit out of you for days, and that was putting in nicely. He was a touchier subject for them than you apparently.

"Dead." Kid broke the silence. "Has been since we got the information we needed from him."

"Was that really necessary? You could've just tossed him out, I'm sure he wouldn't have come back after everything you guys put him through." You were taken aback but you really should have seen this coming a mile away. Of course they would have killed him.

"Sure that would've worked." Kid grumbled. "But he needed to die."

The silence returned but this time it seemed to be the kind filled with agreement. Even those who shared similar views to you had no complaints about him being dead. The best thing you could do for now was let it go. You were outvoted and it unsettling you wouldn't change their minds or the fact that what was done was done.

"Are we going to kill all the leaders we take out?" You asked.

"Maybe." Law shrugged. "It all depends on them. Either they leave the city like whipped dogs when we're through with them or they go six feet under."

That was better than nothing. Killing for a reason you could live with. Anything mindless nagged at you incessantly. At least this way, they leaders could pick themselves. It felt more justified to you that way.

"So who's next on the agenda?" Law posed the question to the entire room. "With one down, it's time to plan out the next big attack."

One fell easily and the others would be on edge when they learned the news. The city was going to be thrown into utter chaos until it received it's new leader. You hoped it wouldn't take too long.
