Lingering Memories

'I stay apart, but with your parts alive in me. Yearning and blooming with your tune.'

Relinquished in the pile of paper she didn't even realise when the clock struck at 1. Indicating the lunch break.

'Where is he? Your highly evolved Human?' These were the days when she had to be reminded, of food, of break and someday of love.

'Dyaus? Well, he is alive. Doing what he loves the most.'

'And you?'

'I guess doing what I know the best.' Indicating towards the pile of papers that were crammed with a mixture of results of her experiments.'

'Miss him?'

She sighed. 'Every second.'

'But sun departs-'

She halted and recalled him shaking his head. And smiled she had to hold over her positive ions for him.

'-No earth rotates and due to which sunlight goes. But it's because of this separation that eyes meet with the splendid serenity of the night.'

'To be lonely?'

'It's not loneliness while during the day all you see is a dazzling Sun. At night you see thousands from his family, the stars. And when he is away he entrusts hope to another half of the world. To those who fail at the gloomiest of times. He inspires humans. Me every day.'

It was hard every day. Unlike with him, she doesn't have to persuade herself. But now almost all the people around her. She cherishes his every wish.

That's why she was willing to abide by his memories if she knew he was delighted. Doing what he honours the most.

Most of the days would be held by her work and the left time was devoured with his memories. She would occasionally wait for his reply. Just like he had messages now.

It was a night for her. But his single message was enough to brighten up the dullness.

"All okay?"

"Yes. Fluoride. It's good here without your radiance."

"Radiance?"

"You burn me with all your light."

"Damn. Not something I wish to hear away from you. Is it too hard?"

"Now that your radiance is away all I want is to find a little light."

"You do something woman. Something"

"Only something? I thought I had married all of you."

"You did. How I wish to be there.'

"You don't. Close your eyes. Fill that touch on your fingers, and embrace the wind. That's all you need."

"Hmm."

"How are you?"

"Alive. As you say."

"My dear fluoride, in the sky, I search for you. No matter how far you are I always smile toward every sparkle in the sky. You are the radiance of my stars. Good Night. Be Careful, Love."

"Good Night Francium. My precious I see you from above. Just hold all the positive ions. I have nowhere to go but you.'

She stared at his messages many times. Remembering and collecting his every word in the back of her mind. It was common for her to occasionally look at his message and disclose her faith.

Keeping that phone in the throng of words, understanding the various pattern of the human structure she found herself proclaimed by the little moonlight. Reflecting upon the cap of her pen.

She took a plane sheet of the paper and same pen as she run towards the balcony beamed by the rope-rail lanterns. These were selected by him, they lag into a string. It was for those days when there would be haze insulating the sky and no light would be visiting here.

'No sky isn't gloomy. Mist has it filled. And I am here to meet you. Your star in your balcony.'

The note was put by him, only she and her heart discern how many tears she had left here. Those nights when she would be deserted and greeted with stillness she would just look for his words. He had left parts and little fractions here. That's when he is absent she has a hope to look for.

Even if the dispassion of the bed encompassed, she sense the limited warmth of his love. He knew those tears that depart from her eyes he wouldn't be able to hold them, and neither did he desires.

What he wanted was to feel her heart, and enjoy tiny moments. In the house created by them.

Unlike the other day, the sky wasn't inoculated with haze. Tonight the moon was bright. In the ocean of darkness, injected with varied possibilities it seemed the brightest.

Those shafts running through it, and tiny craters. How beautiful! But these scars were of past havoc, plunging onto his surface and burning up the surface. Now what's left are memories, stories to be speculated.

The trail of little light in the sky caught her attention. Bringing her hand above her head she bid bye, and slowly brought her love finger towards her lip. 'Promise.'

How long has it been since she saw his face?

Held his face, as his growing stubble prick her finger and she asked him to shave. As he hides his face in her lap and she runs her finger through his now short hairs.

Now weeks have passed and recess is all she confronts. She sleeps by covering herself with fallen tears. Now sleeping in the coldness of her blanket.

'I saw the sky today. I know it's not you. But I still smiled, carried your promise. No, I don't cry, what's fallen are the little drops. My finger misses your touch so often these drops keep me warm.

No, I don't miss you.  I touch your lingering fragrance. Brush my fingers through the air where you once held my hands. My heart matches with the humming tune of yours, where it stops holding my hand close to your heart. I halt. And I met with that blue feather that you left, it brushes with my fingers. I feel you in winds and your heart humming and I dance gain.

These lies I told myself. So when you come I keep home filled with your memories. No matter how far you are they hold your fragrance. Carry our love. In the air my tears mixed with smiles given by you. I miss you to being burned by radiance every day.'

She marked the letter with imprints of her lips, concealed but her tears fell like a crater on the moon. They constantly dawdle with her. Because she knows that these tears were sufficient to drown him and he wasn't made to subsist in the water.

He was there merely to touch her and fly.

But this night wasn't as dark as she thought as she saw a text by him.

"I am coming soon, my Francium."
