"appa" jinwoo called out softly, tugging at his dad's hand, "i can't find my socks"

jinhyuk looked down at his son. they were about to leave and go to the park when jinwoo suddenly couldn't find his favorite blue socks.

"what do you mean you can't find your socks? aren't they in the drawer?" jinhyuk asked, walking to jinwoo's room and searching his sock drawer.

"not those socks appa! i want my blue socks!" jinwoo exclaimed, making pouty lips at his dad.

"they're all socks baby" jinhyuk said, ruffling his son's hair, "do you want to show dohyon and hyeongjun your blue socks?"

jinwoo nodded, making jinhyuk coo, "i promised that i'd show them the cute dinosaurs on them the next time we went to the park!"

jinhyuk smiled, looking for jinwoo's blue socks. he finally found them under jinwoo's bed. he didn't know how they ended up under there, but he didn't want to question it either.

"ready to go?" jinhyuk asked, putting on his shoes.

jinwoo put on his shoes and grabbed his juice box, "i'm ready!"

jinhyuk beamed, "then lets go buddy"

"hyeongjunnie! dohyonnie!" jinwoo exclaimed, running to his friends once they reached the park. jinhyuk watched as jinwoo ran to play with his friends as he walked over to a bench to sit down by seungyoun and hangyul.

"how's progress with your little crush?" seungyoun asked, smirking at jinhyuk.

jinhyuk's cheeks reddened, "i-i don't know what you're talking about"

"right" seungyoun said rolling his eyes, "i'm talking about wooseok"

jinhyuk got all shy at the mention of wooseok's name, "n-nothing is going on. we're just friends"

"oh please. you literally saved his contact number as his name and like a gazillion hearts next to it" hangyul teased, remembering how jinhyuk saved wooseok's number when he got it.

"t-those aren't hearts! they're upside-down spades!" jinhyuk exclaimed.

"you've got to be kidding me" seungyoun said, rolling his eyes, "i'm serious jinhyuk!"

"f-fine. i kind of uhm kissed him on the cheek the other day after i dropped him off" jinhyuk confessed, fiddling with his fingers.

"you what?!" seungyoun exclaimed, the corner of his lips curving upwards.

"i kissed him!" jinhyuk whispered a yell.

he wished he didn't say that because seungyoun and hangyul were squealing like two little kids. he did kiss wooseok on the cheek. he didn't know why. he just thought the time was right. he spent the whole day with wooseok, going to the carnival and watching a movie at the movie theater. he remembered every moment in his head.

"you didn't have to drive me home hyuk" wooseok said, stepping out of the car once jinhyuk parked in front of his apartment.

"it wouldn't be very nice of me to leave a handsome man walking alone on the streets, would it?" jinhyuk asked, stepping out of the car and walking wooseok to the entrance of his building.

wooseok blushed, "s-stop it"

"stop what?" jinhyuk asked, smirking at wooseok.

"stop making my heart beat like crazy" wooseok mumbled, low enough so that jinhyuk couldn't hear it.

"what did you say?" jinhyuk asked, raising his eyebrows.

"n-nothing! i'll get going now! u-uhm get home safe jinhyuk. goodnight" wooseok quickly said and scurried to open the door until he felt a hand stop him from doing so. jinhyuk pulled him to his chest and pecked his cheek.

"goodnight wooseok. dream of me" jinhyuk said, winking at the boy. wooseok absolutely turned into a tomato after jinhyuk did that and ran into the building while jinhyuk stood there and giggled to his heart's content.

"so you're telling me that you guys had a full ass date and you aren't even dating??" seungyoun asked, squinting his eyes, "thats ridiculous! you should've asked him on the spot! that would've been perfect"

jinhyuk smiled, "i'm sure i would've given him a heart attack if i did that and i don't want his friend to hunt me down and kill me"

"so when's the wedding?" hangyul asked.

"guysssssss! i'm not even close to dating him yet. i don't even know if he likes me back!" jinhyuk whined, slapping hangyul's arm.

seungyoun rolled his eyes, "of course he likes you back! why else would he come to your cafe everyday?"

"he could just be bringing me business— i don't know!" jinhyuk said, throwing his arms everywhere. he was about to continue on until he saw dohyon rushing up to them.

"papa! jinwoo got a boo boo" dohyon said, pulling his dad's hand to get him to come with him.

jinhyuk's eyes widened as he immediately got up and followed dohyon. he saw his son on the ground, clutching his knee with hyeongjun right next to him, patting his head.

"appa! i got a boo boo" jinwoo said, sniffling as he wiped his tears.

jinhyuk got all soft looking at his baby boy on the ground, "where is it baby? show appa"

jinwoo lifted his hand from the wound and saw the little scrape he got, probably from running and falling down.

"it hurts appa" jinwoo said, pouting while jinhyuk inspected it, cleaning the wound with what he had.

"you'll be alright buddy" jinhyuk whispered, blowing onto the scrape, "you should've been careful"

"i-is jinwoo going to die uncle hyuk?" hyeongjun asked, eyes getting teary.

"of course not hyeongjun! he's just got a little scape. you can't die from that" jinhyuk said, reassuring the boy.

"i don't want woowoo to die" dohyon mumbled, trying to keep his cool but he was really worried inside.

"no one is dying" hangyul said, reassuring his kids, "how about we play at jinwoo's house so that none of us get another boo boo?"

jinwoo nodded, as well as the other kids. jinhyuk carried jinwoo all the way home, making jinwoo embarrassed.

"i can walk appa!" jinwoo exclaimed, trying to get down from his dad's arms.

jinhyuk chuckled, "you're hurt jinwoo. i'll carry you home so you don't fall again"

"appa!"
