Chapter 9:Kidnapped

When I started my day, I didn't expect to be calming down a hysterical Alec and Isabelle. I didn't expect to be planning a rescue mission. But I didn't expect a lot of things today.
"Rise and shine," I whispered into Alec's ear. Valentine hasn't acted in a week, but everyone is still on edge. Raphael has kept the knights on edge too. Making training hours long, having more knights at each entrance, and keeping an eye out for Sebastian. He's the real threat.
Alec threw the sheets off of himself and groaned. "Why do I have to get up again?"
"Because you have to go train."
"Yeah. Right." He pushed himself out if bed and walked over to our closet, while I was enjoying the view.
"How was last night!" I yelled at him. He balled up a shirt on the ground and threw it at me with perfect accuracy.
"Shut up and let me get ready for training. I need to go get Jace and Isabelle." He shut the door to the closet to my dismay. It was just me and my thoughts now. When he came out he was dressed in his knights armour. "I'm going to go get them now. They're probably still asleep." He gave me a chaste kiss on my lips before he left the room. Now it really was juts my thoughts and I.

"Alec! Alec!" I screamed through the dust.

I actually got quite a few things done. Answered some letters, talked with Catarina before she told me to leave and "be annoying somewhere else," and ate lunch. But I still wanted my Alec to talk to. Why must Raphael make the training hours so long? It's keeping my boyfriend away from me. While I was making my way to my chambers, the entire castle shook, throwing me to the ground. Without warning, a boom erupted from beside me. Dust and debris exploded, clouding my vision. But I could see a large canon ball embedded in the wall. Several other loud noises erupted, on sounding like it came from the direction weapons room. "Alec! Alec!" I screamed through the dust. "Alec!" If it was an ambush or a deceleration of war, I couldn't tell. I tried to get up, but fire ignited in my shoulder. I screamed through my teeth. The pain was excruciating, but something was going on. My shoulder will have to wait. With all the strength I had, I ran to the weapons room. There was the tap tap tap of feet, and I'm guessing it was from my own army. Raphael was at the door ordering everyone out. "Raphael! What's going on? Is anyone hurt?"
"I don't know, Bane. No one was injured, but we're going to go check it out. Whoa. What happened to your shoulder." It had bent into some odd shape. That can't be good. Not at all.
"When the first canon struck, I was knocked over and I must've landed wrong. I'll get Catarina to check it out later, right now I need to see what's going on." Everyone in my army rushed out the weapons room and into formation. Isabelle and Jace already passed, since Isabelle uses a whip and Jace has. a sword. Alec was somewhere near the back with other archers. As soon as I saw him I rushed to him. "Alec. You're alright."
"Of course, but what happened to you?"
"I landed wrong, but I'll get it checked it out later. But I'm just glad you're okay."
"Magnus. We have to leave and check it out."
"Yeah right." I walked to the front of my army and every one made their ways outside. The sun was bright, but so was I. Thank God for the invention of glitter.
An army was standing before us. Quite a large army. Standing in front of it was none other than Valentine Morgenstern and Sebastian Morgenstern. Valentine had the Morgenstern sword with him, and Sebastain seemed to have two short swords with him. Valentine strut his way forward. Like he owned the place. News flash: I do. "Valentine," I spat. "What do you want."
"Don't worry, Magnus. I'm not here for you or your precious kingdom." He looked passed me at someone. When I turned my head he was starting right at Isabelle. "I'm here for the Lightwoods. And I intend in taking them." No. Not the Lightwoods. Not my Alec. I've already lost him once. I'm not losing him again. Jace pushed his way forward and go in Valentine's face. Damn. He really does act on impulse.
"What do you want?" Jace rudely asked.
"Not you. You're not a real Lightwood." Then Isabelle made her way forward. "Not you either." Alec was trailing behind her. "Ahhh. Yes. You I need to speak to."
"What do you want?" Alec asked.
"I want you to hand over the throne of Idris to me. I could easily take it by force, but what's left of your people will not allow that. But if you willingly hand it over to me, then that might just work.
"I'm not going to do that."
"If you say so. If you're not going to hand it over willingly, then I guess force will be needed." He reached out to grab Alec but before he could, Jace put his blade to his throat.
"Don't. Even. Think. About it," Jace hissed.
"If I were you, I'd take that blade away from my father's throat." Sebastian moved so quickly, some people didn't even notice him at first. He had one of his blades at Jace's back. Jace slowly took his sword away, but he slashed at Sebastian's cheek. That's when chaos erupted. Someone must've told the archers to start shooting. The army scattered and Valentine's army begun to attack also. Alec was lost in the crowd and I was about to go look for him when someone began tugging in my good arm. It was Catarina. "Get inside you idiot! You're going to get yourself killed! And you're injured!"
  "But Alec!"
"He'll live. He's a good knight. Now get inside!" She dragged my by my arm inside and slammed the doors.

Hours, minutes, seconds. Who knows how long the battle has been raging on. Catarina fixed up my shoulder and bandaged it up tightly so it can get back into place. "Stop tapping your foot. It makes me nervous," Catarina hissed.
"My boyfriend is out there fighting to guys who killed his parents and little brother. Of course I'm nervous."
"Don't worry. He's going to be fine. The other healers haven't brought him in, so he must be."
"Unless he's dead," I mumbled under my breath. She threw a roll of bandages at me.
"Don't think that way! He's going to be all right. You'll see." We waited for about another ten minutes, then there was the pounding of feet and cheering. "See! That must be them." I got out of my seat and rushed to the main room. Surly enough, my army was gathered there. All looking pleased with themselves. "Bane! We won!" Raphael screamed. "Valentine is dead and we cut down his army enough that Sebastian had to leave! Ha!"
  "Congrats! Where's Alec?"
"Somewhere in this crowd. He's alive." I started to look for him over the heads of the others until I spotted his and Isabelle's jet black hair. "Alec!" I yelled to him. He turned around and saw me. He gave a small, forced smile. He looked distressed. "What's wrong?"
  "We can't find Jace."
"What? Are you sure he's not here or..."
"He was alive, and I didn't see him come in. We don't know where he is."
"Are you sure he isn't out there?"
"We're sure there was nothing. Oh shit. What must've happened to him." Him and Isabelle were hysterical figuring out what happened to him. Mayne he was  still out there and they didn't see, so I opened the door. On the door was a piece of parchment held there with a knife.
  I have him
  -Sebastian.

"Raphael!" I yelled over the commotion. He appeared next to me in a few minutes.
  "Yeah?"
"Plan a rescue mission for Jace Lightwood. Sebastian has him." He looked shocked, but he left and gathered a few knights. "We'll get him back. Don't worry," I told Alec.
