Veil's Pov:

Having gotten back to the dorm from our showing of the cake an hour ago, I groan as my phone vibrates in my pocket. 'Who could be texting me at this time.' I think to myself tiredly. Sighing I take my phone out of my pocket to see who texted me. I have my pj's on since I took a bath earlier. -From Papa: Veil come to my office now!! Your going to love this!- The text reads making me pout. -Alright. I'm coming.- I text back grabbing my infinite key and turning off my light so it looks like I'm asleep from outside my room. Going to my room's door I use my key to get to my adoptive uncle's office. "Papa~. Why did you call me here?" I whine my tail flicking slightly behind me, before I spot my uncles frown. Sighing I wrap my tail around my waist. "I made you come here so you could help us eat this." He says elatedly, suddenly beaming with a greenish hamster on his shoulder with a piece of familiar looking cake in his tiny paws. 'So that's what Rin meant when he said he would take care of it.' I think to myself, making me grin. "That's the cake Rin made." I comment easily, making my uncle nod in affirmation. "That it is." He says giving me a piece of the cake. I accept the offered cake, before pouting slightly. "May I have my tail out, Papa?" I ask politely, making him frown in thought, before giving his slightly reluctant consent. "You may." He concedes lightly, and I unwrap my tail from my waist comfortably. Taking a bite from my piece, I hold back a moan at the sheer delight I receive from the rich taste. Mephisto only smirks. "Wonderful, isn't it." He comments towards my wide eyed joy. I nod. "That it is." I agree as we consume the cake. "I'm glad that your not lonely, Papa." I comment randomly referring to the hamster on his shoulder making him give a curt nod. "Hai, that is good. Though I do wish Amaimon would come home and remember you." He says a little oddly. I look at my uncle before shrugging. "That would be nice. Hah~, to an extent it's not his fault my scent would have basically disappeared by now and he couldn't come here to a True Cross unless some guided him." I say downcasted, but continuing on the topic and taking another piece of cake. "Hm. Though it seems I've gained his sweet tooth." I muse contently, my tail curling behind me happily, as I chew on the bit of cake I picked. Papa chuckles lightly in agreement, and I hum happily since a bit of frosting stuck to the roof of my mouth, since it's so rich. After a little while I check the time since we've taken a good bit out of the cake. '10:45p.m.' I think to myself, before I remember something and swallow what's in my mouth. "Hey, Papa," "Yes, Veil?" "Do you have anything for me to do tomorrow?" I ask casually, making him hum in thought. "I believe so. It will probably take a while so you'll be excused from your classes tomorrow as an extracurricular absence." He says, flicking his wrist at the small detail. "You might be back in the middle of Cram School. If all goes well. There is no reason it shouldn't, it's nothing you can't handle." Mephisto says calmly, making me nod. "Hai, do you want me to get the details now or in the morning?" I ask curiously. "In the morning. It'll be easier on you if you receive them in the morning." He says easily, making me nod before giving a light bow. "Hai, I'll be back in the morning then, Papa. Goodnight, Uncle and small hamster." I say kindly, making him nod. "Goodnight, Veil." My Un
Uncle replies calmly, though I'm ignored by the hamster. Shrugging, I do an about-hace, and use my key on the door to enter my dorm room only to see my light on for some odd reason. Confused, I blink not sure how to feel about my room being invaded while I was gone. "Hello?" I ask curiously, only for someone to grab near the base of my tail kinda roughly, making me hiss in pain. "Why would you do that~." I hiss whiningly, turning around a little slowly, to see a very pissed Yukio. 'Why is it always my tail?' I think to myself, before he clears his throat. "I'm only going to ask this once. Where were you and why did you leave this late?" He asks with a light growl, his teeth almost grinding together. "Mephisto's office and he called me there. One does not simply ignore the call of a person in a higher rank." I say through clenched teeth, holding back the urge to free my tail. His grip loosens, and I sigh, before quickly retreating to my bed, pressing myself against the wall, just noticing the older Okumura on the bed across from me. His face in a frown. "You don't have to be so harsh with her tail, Yukio." Rin points out soothingly, sympathizing with me, since he has a tail of his own. Yukio just grunts in response, dialing a number on his phone. Rin sighs at his brothers attitude, and gets off the bed across from me to move over to mine. 'Why am I being interrogated?' I ask myself wondering why. As Rin's weight settles on the bed, I stiffen for a moment, before I realize it's Rin. Rin makes a peaceful gesture, making me relax and let out a soft sigh. "Don't worry about Yukio he's just protective and was worried that you were gone and we didn't hear anything." He says softly, making me hum. "I didn't think I would be gone very long. Mephisto had just called me in for an errand that I'm going to be doing tomorrow. I won't be at school, but I should be back for Cram School." I say letting him know I'll be gone for awhile tomorrow. "Hai. But you better get back before the end of Cram School since Izumo's party will be in a few days." He says trying to lighten my mood. Once I ease up enough, my tail comes out of hiding from behind me, and lays lightly by my thigh. Yukio sighs heavily. "Alright, Veil. You're out of trouble since Sir Mephisto just cleared it with me that you were there. And you have an errand to run tomorrow so you won't be in school." He says making me nod. "Hai, I should be back for Cram School though." I comment lightly, making Yukio nod. "Anyway, we all need to go to sleep. Goodnight, Veil. Come on, Nii-San. Let's go to bed." Yukio says tiredly, making the slightly older male grunt. "Hai, goodnight, Veil." He says lightly, getting off my bed, throwing me a smile and leaving my room, turning the lights off behind them. "Goodnight!" I call as they leave, getting a wave of a tail in return from around the corner. Laying on my side, I draw the cores over myself and slowly drift off to Dreamscape, having already set my alarm, before I left to go to my uncle.

Third person Pov:

"So, Amaimon. Have you figured out who she is?" Mephisto asks, the small green hamster sitting on his desk, curiously. "I have an idea, but I'm not quite sure yet, Aniue." The hamster says monotonly. "Oh, what do you think she is?" "I don't know, Brother. I'm sure I'll figure it out I'm getting a picture. Why don't I show it to you, Brother." Amaimon says, just before sending a picture to the older of the two brothers. Mephisto looks at the picture and sees how close he is, he's just missing a small part in the picture. "My look how close you are." He says bemused making the hamster huff in response, since he lacks only a few details.

(TimeSkip: 6:45 a.m Dawn) Veil's Pov:

Shifting slightly, I grunt, as my alarm goes off. Making a tired noise from the back of my throat, I shut off my alarm, and snuggle into the covers a little more. 'Why is it morning already?' I mentally ask myself, not wanting to wake up at the moment. Groaning I get up and stretch with a yawn. Popping my back lightly, I let out a soft sigh, and open my eyes again, trying harder to keep them open. Placing my feet on the cool wooden floor, I tiredly move my moon Lilly off the desk, and put it behind my bed, in the darkest corner of my room. "Be happy I move you." I grumble tiredly to the flower, before grabbing the watering can and watering all my flowers, making sure to at least compliment them all, since I feel I've neglected some of them. "You are so pretty with all your healthy petals and leaves." I say to it lovingly, so it can continue to grow healthily. Once done watering my plants, I grab a pair of slightly loose clothes that I can move easily in, and move to the bathroom. Leaving my room, with my clothes inside the room, so I can just use the restroom. Walking down the hall to the stairs, I forget to give the twin's door any size berth, and for the first time in awhile I'm whacked in the face with a door, by a groggy, and yawning Rin. Taking a step back, I'm now fully awake as the pain jolts my senses into alertness. "Ow~!" I whine loudly, holding my stinging nose. Looking up, I take a unknowing step towards the half-akuma, so I'm back where I was. "Why today?" I whine to myself curiously. "Oh, Veil. Gomenasai." Rin apologizes, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly. "It's a habit to open a door this way. I should really start opening it the other way." Rin explains trying to appease me. "Its fine. It was my fault I usually give the door a wide berth but I guess I forgot." I say calmly, so he doesn't beat himself up about it.

Third Pov:

After a few moments of continues apologies on both sides, Rin is lightly shoved by Yukio to get out of the door way, making Rin accidentally shove Veil. Whom starts to fall, not expecting the shove even though it was a light one. Tail useless, since she reaches out to catch herself, and she grabs Rin's shirt, accidentally pulling him down with her. Neither tail can counteract it, since the movements were so sudden, and both akumas soon fall onto the floor. Rin partially catches himself, but both unexpectedly feel something soft on their lips.

Veil's Pov:

Opening my eyes, since I had closed them in preparation for the fall, only to see Rin doing the same. Rin apparently noticed what's going on first, and his eyes widen, before he cuts off our contact via lips, and starts to splutter apologies, as he gets up helping me up as well. Suddenly, realization dawns on me, since I was still processing everything and my cheeks flush with color. "Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry, Rin. I didn't mean to pull you down with me." I apologize softly unable to look in his eyes. 'That's so embarrassing.' I think to myself blushing a darker red, as I apologize profusely. My tail flicks behind me nervously until we both forgive the other since it was an accident. Awkwardly we all walk down the hall to the stairs and I split to go to the restroom. My tail flicks as I walk into the bathroom and do my business. Done with that I wash my hands and my face to cool it off. Using my tank-top I dry my off face. 'Alright after breakfast I have to go see Papa.' I think to myself calmly, before leaving the bathroom. Instead of going to the cafeteria first I move to my room to get dressed. Walking up the stairs, I head past the twin's room and towards my own room. I go inside and move to my bed where my clothes are but think better of it and start with my hair and deodorant. Done with that I go back to my bed and start to change into my actually pretty flexible midnight purple jeans. Once done with my jeans, I put on a teal t-shirt over my black tank-top. Giving myself a once over I nod and leave my room, messenger bag in hand as a just incase I have to deliver something, my actual brown school bag by my closet door. Having my phone in my pocket I leave my room and quickly make my way to the cafeteria to scarf down my breakfast. Once I get there I see Yukio and Rin just finishing up their own breakfasts. "Good morning, guys!" I say sitting down next to them easily and giving thanks for my own breakfast. "Good morning, Veil. Good luck on your errand for Sir Mephisto." Yukio says casually making me nod in thanks. "Arigato, Yukio." I reply only to be drawn into a sudden one armed hug by Rin. "Take care of yourself, Veil. And come back safe." He says seriously in a soft tone. Biting back a cough I nod giving my tail a flick. "Don't worry, I'll be fine. I'll see you both soon. Thank you for your concern though." I say calmly and eating the rest of my breakfast. "You both need to go to school though it starts in ten minutes." I warn shooing them out of the dorm. "See you guys later." I call closing the door after them and pulling on my tennis shoes my tail still out for the time being. Grabbing my bag again I use my key on the dormitory entry door to get to my uncle's office. Once I enter the room I wrap my tail around my waist and close the door behind me. "Sir Mephisto, I am ready to accept my errand." I say with a small bow. He grins. "Good. It's a bit more than one of the errands that I usually give you." He says calmly making me blink. "Alright, what is it?" I ask curiously much to the older akuma's delight. "I knew you would still take it. Well my dear, you will be taking an item that I will hand you in a moment to a friend of mine near the mountains where I live which, regrettably is where a few intermediate level and above demons are taking residence. Of course the intermediate and lower akumas should be no problem for you but I ask you to try your best to steer clear of the higher level akumas." He says in slight disdain. As he was talking I didn't notice the green hamster, that he keeps with him, crawl into my bag. I nod. "Hai, I'll try my best, Papa." I say quietly making him nod in return before he grabs a package from inside his desk and hands it to me. Easily I slip the package into my bag not noticing my hitchhiker. Moving to the older akuma I give him a hug before bidding him farewell to go to his mansion like house. "Do you mind if I cut through your house to get there quicker?" I ask before I leave making him look at me for a second. "Not at all my dear. You are welcome there anytime, Veil." He replies making me grin. "Arigato, Sir Mephisto." I say happily before going to his house through to the garden. Sniffing the familiar smells, I sigh with a small feeling of nostalgia, having not visited in awhile. Giving myself a shake I unwrap my tail from my waist and let it sway lightly behind me for the familiar sights here. "Alright, now is not the time for a trip down memory lane." I say to myself before walking through the lush garden and passing the oak tree where my adoptive father tends to take naps during the day. My tail wags happily behind me as I pass the more forest like part of the garden and head towards the mountains at a somewhat quick pace. Passing a few more spots in the forest I notice all the plants at complete health not a dead or dying leaf to be seen on anything. Almost reluctantly I go to the door on the side closest to the mountains and exit the garden that holds almost every plant under the moon and sun. Sighing lightly on a slightly elevated spot, I give the house a quick backwards glance before forcing myself to continue. After a few minutes I see the terrain start to change to more of a rocky uphill climb. Snorting I inwardly growl at gravity for being a bitch. My tail waves erratically behind me trying to help with my balance as the area shifts and the rocks slide beneath me. Stepping on a large solid looking rock I'm surprised when it moves. "Eep!" I squeak not expecting the rock to shift before hopping towards a higher spot my tail flailing for balance. After a minute I stop my wobbling and see the 'rock's' amber eyes. 'Ah hell.' I think to myself having wanted to avoid another demon. Surprisingly it just looks at me blankly. That is until it growls rather harshly towards me in annoyance. "You know was I not napping, I would let you off with a warning." It growls it's rock like back growing sharp spines of rock making me blink. "Really, I could have stepped on literally anything and it just had to be another akuma." I growl loudly making the rock like akuma snort. "Then pick the rocks you step on better." He huffs making me stare at him boredly. "I don't have time for this. Gomenasai for stepping on you but, bye." I say turning around my tail flicking in farewell to the agitated and now dumbfounded demon. Hearing a rumbling I look around my feet only to leap up just in time as the rock like earth demon shoot out where my feet just were. Kicking out I land a dead hit on it's face. Growling in impatience I shift into my actual demon form my horn tips lit with violet flames and my nails and teeth sharp and strong. Lighting my nails with my violet flames I scratch the falling earth akuma across the chest cracking some of his rock like armor. He hisses and lashes his spiney tail at me that I almost fail to dodge. Grabbing onto his tail coated with rock armor I pull off the rock coating with my nails and catch his spiney lizard like tail between my nails digging into the tail and catching it on fire before continuing through the armor with my flames. He quickly catches with violet flames and I let go of him looking at the blood on my nails in slight disgust since the stench is foul unlike some other demons. Moving to the unconscious demon not wanting to kill the turtle-like fool for the mistake of challenging a higher level demon to a fight. "Low level demons are so easy to pick off." I say to myself shifting back to my more human form. Continuing on my way I put my flames out and go into the nearby wooded area near the top of the mountains. Wiping off my hands on the grass I also get rid of some of the scent of blood. 'Dad would probably rather me kill the fool.' I think to myself finding a way through the trees to my destination. Humming to myself softly I calmly walk around bushes and trees that I find to be around me. 'Nature is just beautiful.' I think to myself as I continue to walk under the cooler shade of the trees limbs and leaves. 'Autumn is just a wonderful season. It leads the steady path from summer to winter.' I think calmly as I take in all the colors the leaves are turning. My gaze is quickly shifted ahead of me from the leaves to the deer in front of me. Blinking I look at it dumbly giving it just the right amount of time to bound away on it's long sure footed legs. My tail flicks for a second before I shake my head and continue. 'I haven't seen a deer in quite a long time.' I think to myself wondering when the last time I saw a deer was. My thoughts are once again forgotten as I make my steady way forwards. Seemingly I walk, almost ghosting across the floor, since my padding makes no sound, even when I step on the driest of leaves and twigs.
