A Little Help From My Friends

"Who the hell are you?" Jung Hoseok asked, dropping two grocery bags onto Jimin's kitchen island. He glared at Jungkook before looking over at Jimin. His hands were crossed in front of his torso, leaning against the entrance door with his shoulder while staring intensely at Jungkook up and down - as if sizing him up. Jungkook shrugged, getting the feeling that Jimin didn't exactly bring new people to his apartment everyday.

"I'm his boyfriend." Jungkook answered, matching Hoseok's intense in gaze as he lowered the cup of lemonade onto the table. The edge of his lip lifted in a grin, amusement dancing across his eyes but lacking in the boy's honey tone as he watched Jimin's mouth gape open. Hoseok's brows raised at that which only made Jungkook's smirk grow wider.

"He's not my boyfriend." Jimin corrected sharply, giving Jungkook a hard stare before whipping back to make sure Hoseok wasn't going bat shit or anything. But, Jungkook, obviously missing the hint of don't fuck around by my friend who already freakimg put, leaned in closer to Jimin and lowered his voice to a smooth tamber.

"Well," He started, loud enough for Hoseok to hear, "I could be if you took out one word in that sentence."

Jimin rolled his eyes at that, wanting to tell Jungkook he could do better than that but worried that the statement might come across more flirty than intended to be. Not that it wasn't meant to be flirty - he guessed it was - and flirting was fun - but - Jimin shut up you're not into him. You pity him. That's all. Sad boi needed cheering up. He might be hot but that's how far it goes - God damn he's grinning again, he looks so annoyingly hot when he grins - fuck

He's not my boyfriend." Jimin reiterates, pulling out of the spiral his thoughts were falling down into. Jungkook looked unfazed, leaning back in his stool until he realized that he's stilling on a chair with no back to it and almost fell over.

"I'm the soon to be boyfriend."

"In your dreams-"

"You're all I dream about baby." Jungkook said with a wink.

"Then I guess in your nightmares is more accurate, huh?"

"Jimin." Hoseok interrupted, clearing his throat with his eyes glued to Jungkook as if a lion were sitting on the kitchen stool and not a regular boy. "Can we talk? Alone?"

Jimin furrowed his brows before glancing back at Jungkook and bit his lip slightly as a thought popped into that beautiful blond head of his. He glanced around at all his nice things, like the fuzzy white carpet Seokjin bought him when he and Taehyung first moved in to the crystal boob Taehyung stole as a joke that's just sitting on a counter top near by. Then, he looked at Jungkook's sturdy hands. Hands Jungkook himself has said he's very good at using and wondered if it was the best idea to leave this stranger alone in a room with so much to steal.

"I don't know if I trust-" Jimin started, but Jungkook was quick to jump onto the blond boy's obvious worries.

"Don't worry sweetheart," Jungkook laughed with a wink, finding Jimin's concerns to be absolutely adorable, "I'll only steal your heart, not your earthly possessions."

Jimin frowned at that, puffing out his cheeks as he rolled his eyes, "Now I trust you less." He added, watching Hoseok from the corner of his eye tapping his foot to hurry it along.

"Isn't that how it's supposed to be?" Jungkook asked, "Boy meets boy. Boy invites boy over to his house. Boy then admits that he has feelings and then steals the other boy's fancy pillows-"

"Jungkook."

"It's just hypothetical Jimin." Jungkook said with another grin and swig of the overly sweet lemonade, a goofy grin spreading across his lips making the stranger almost resemble a bunny. Which seemed off since the dude was massive in build. All muscle but a stupid bunny boy face. Like Jojo and Beastars had a baby and out came Jeon Jungkook.

"Of course it is." Jimin answered, not able to hide the smile from his own lips as he imagined a bunny with Jungkook's frame. It was like a really funny meme you couldn't show your friends because you're worried they'd judge you for it.

"Do you doubt me?" Jungkook asked, leaning on the kitchen island with his hands clasped together. His eyes danced the way Peter Pan's did before he'd whisk kids away to wonderland. Needless to say, the two boys were too busy falling into warm smiles to remember about a certain tall browned haired boy named Hoe-don't waste ma time-seok.

It wasn't until Hoseok cleared his throat that either of them snapped their attentions back to him, "Jimin." Hoseok commanded this time, pulling the age authority card. "Come on. We need to talk. Jin's not going to like this."

Jungkook frowned, "Who's Jin?" He asked but Jimin and Hoseok were already out of the room.
