Chapter 1

"As I explained in this presentation about my ideas related to the new features, I would like for our companies to work together to bring out the enhanced results. We will get to learn a lot from you and will try our best to bring you the desired outcomes as well."

"Mr. Kim, there is no doubt you raised this company from #20 to #7 within a year of your debut," said an old man in his late sixties.

"Sir, this is nothing much. It was all done by Dad," the man said with a soft smile plastered on his face.

"Remember, son. Business requires hard work all the time. And it just cannot be made such a success. You have done great effort, and I am so happy for you. Your dad is very lucky to have a son like you at this time," he said as he patted his back affectionately.

"Thank you, Mr. Cohen," he said as he shook hands with the old man.

As they got out of the meeting room, he couldn't stop smiling as he began to think.

'Finally, I can go to the bakery. Thankfully, they liked my idea. If I start driving now, then I-'

"Mr. Kim?"

He snapped out of his thoughts and looked down at his secretary, looking up at him. She was a middle-aged woman and always had a tablet in her hand, where she organized Jin's schedule for each day.

"Yes, Patricia," he asked while clearing his throat.

"Sir, you are free for the day," she said while looking up at him.

"I know, Patricia," he said while rubbing his temples.

"Okay sir. I just wanted to inform," she said monotonously and walked away.

"She really scares me sometimes," he muttered under his breath.

'Anyways, let's walk fast. I do not want to waste any time now', he thought and briskly walked to his car.

He sat in his luxurious black car and wore his seatbelt. He looked into the mirror and fixed his hair with a comb.

"Now I look good," he said as he made a funny model face and then burst into cute giggles.

"Oh my God, I am going to see her again," he said while kicking in the air rapidly.

He was always like this. Super excited to see her.

Kim Seokjin had recently been made the CEO of his dad's established car company. He was a total genius, turning the strategies in such a way that increased the sales of the company by 30 percent in just a year. He was very hardworking and just as charming as one could. He was tall and had lean muscles. His fashion sense was minimalistic classic, and skin shone like a diamond. Despite how attractive he was, he never got distracted from his main motive, to retire his dad. But now, things had taken a different turn. The CEO had fallen for the first time in his life, and he was super ecstatic.

A month ago, he accidentally went to the wrong bakery while finding the cafe where his client was waiting for him. It turned out that he had entered the wrong location on his GPS, which led him to a different bakery with the same name.

Just as he clicked on the call button to call his client, he heard a very soft voice from behind. He slowly turned around, and the world stopped. A very beautiful and delicate girl stood in front of him. She wore a black apron with a cute diner hat.

"Hello Sir. Welcome to 'Cozy Cottage.' What would you like to have?" she asked sweetly.

But he could understand nothing.

"Sir?"

"Huh?"

"What would you like to have?" she asked again.

"Uh, coffee?"

"Okay Sir. We have espresso, latte, americano, and cappuccino."

"Latte. I would like a latte, please," he said softly.

"Sure, sir. Would you like to eat anything with it? We have a good variety of snacks and pastries," she asked softly as she tugged a strand of her hair behind her left ear.

"Sandwiches," he said in a hushed tone, his cheeks turning slightly pink.

"Okay. Have a seat," she said softly and walked inside.

He sat on a table silently. His heart thumped loudly in his head.

'What is happening to me? Why do I find her so cute? Ahh, I want to pick her up. She looks so tiny', he thought.

A few minutes later, his order arrived.

"Sir, here is your order," the girl said softly as she kept the plate of crispy sandwiches in front of him.

He glanced up at her, noticing the tiny label on her black apron. It read Mihi.

"Is that your name?" he asked without thinking, his gaze fixed on the embroidered word.

"Oh, this? Yes. My name is Mihi," she said softly.

"Good name," he said in a hushed tone.

"Thank you," she said in a hushed tone, giggling lightly.

'Oh my God! Even her laugh is so adorable', he thought as he saw her walk away.

And just like that, Jin fell in love. He just knew her name. He never had the guts to talk to her and didn't want to be seen as a creep, so he always maintained his distance from her. He would check in every day, acting as if he worked nearby. He would sit there with his laptop for at least an hour, pretending to be doing some work. He would try his best not to give the slightest hint to her that he found her attractive. But his voice would never come out when he conversed with her.

She was his complete opposite. A young teen, full of life, and a cute smile. She seemed approachable, unlike him, who was always termed as reserved and calculative. If she was the ground, he was the sky, and if she was the bright summer, he was the cold, lifeless winter. If she was a sunny day, he was the silent night. But despite all these differences, he had fallen for her.

Maybe because she was everything he wanted to be one day...
