Enjoy!✨

Laura
Indigo and Klaus were in the living room, while I and Violet came up to her room. I told her my bags were brought here and asked her if it was okay if I stayed in her room for some days. The girl was more than happy and hugged me, jumping.
"I've never had a roommate before. Bitch! I am so happy." She excitedly clapped her hands.
It brought back memories about my vampires. My godparents. Knowing the world over the years and experiencing it with their eyes, they were helping me in finding more willing and smart shifters to learn more about the research laboratory that we were sure was managed by the hunters. They were like my shadow when I lived with the humans.
They helped me survive, introducing the things to me that I had never seen before. Making sure I got everything I wanted, they took care of me and loved me. They were going to be so happy for me. I just knew it. Sarah was going to freak out big-time. I also knew she was going to spoil me by buying the nastiest things for sure.
Shit, I missed them so much.
Violet quickly put my bags in the closet, getting all excited about me being her roommate. Her joy that I felt through the bond was immense. There was so much truthfulness and trust in it. I would never know how alone she must have felt all this time.
I don't know how I managed to get through all of the past that was brought up. Maybe because Indigo had blocked me out. He did not want his emotions to mess me up. Such an asshole. I swear he had a lesson coming on this little date of ours that Violet insisted we go on.
My wolf was just as pissed at him. But goddess, I wasn't even that mad at him. I wanted to be but just one look at him and I melted. I had to work on that. I was not going to allow him to melt me like that.
I was glad though. I was glad his life had taken a turn like this. A turn towards a better and happy future. The Goddess and our fate sure had their own plans for us.
What was more intriguing was how they quickly managed to get themselves to cover up their wounds. We were all on the verge of losing our shit and then bam, after a short fifteen minutes food session, we were laughing our asses out. Eli's poop story was on another level. The stomach aching, tearful laughter was something that I felt was needed. For Violet, for Klaus, for everyone actually.
It was the best hunt story I had ever heard. Eli won it, just like that.
I had last laughed so much with my vampires on some stupid joke that turned out to be the one that had us rolling on the floor. Also seeing Eli's mischievous side, I could conclude one thing. Logan was so going to get along with him. I mean, Logan was a crackhead when it came to mischief and here, Eli was just another.
They must have met before but only at the Council meeting or so. And of course as Alpha's and Beta's. Knowing they were going to get to know each other through me, I was only waiting for another iconic event to take place. But I also doubted Logan would show the childish side of him to someone outside his pack.
Violet told me to dress up in such a way that would get Indigo all worked up. She wanted to get her brother all riled up only to tease him more. Her calling him cute was just one of the things. She told me about the time they saw the rogue and how he literally jumped into beast mode in seconds.
She actually mentioned the beast! For real!
The girl only called him cute all the time.
She was taking the rogues lightly. I couldn't blame her in any way. She still had to understand everything. Right now, she was in her best mood I could say. The way her heart started drumming faster in her chest when I told her my dad would come here and have a piece of mate was amusing. She freaked out so bad.
She didn't even know Indigo's wolf saw her as his own pup. It was not known of before but it was Violet. So yeah.
I quickly freshened up and came out to get dressed. Violet was unpacking her bags and segregating the clothes surrounding her in heaps. The girl had lots of warm clothes packed with her.
I was confused with what I was supposed to wear. I rummaged through my bags to find I had a blue dress. Indigo was definitely gonna love it. It was a spaghetti strap mini dress. It was deep blue with a colorful floral design on it. I got dressed and came out of the closet. Fixing my hair and leaving them around my shoulders as Violet suggested.
We went down quickly to see Klaus and Indigo were watching sports with a beer can in their hands.
Typical. My twin brothers were the same. Just give them the fucking remote and that was it.
Once I and Logan went down on each other for the remote. Mom literally confiscated it, grounding us and did not give it back for a week. That only got me and Logan to blame each other for the whole week. Linus was the one breaking us up. Truly speaking, he seemed elder to Logan, behaviour wise.
Indigo got up and stood in front of me. My utterly handsome mate was dressed in a white shirt and black jeans.
Oh damn! Boyfriend!
My wolf was gawking at her mate as I was. He stared back at me with the same look in his eyes. I could tell he approved of the colour of my dress. Both of us were staring at each other, until I heard Violet, "Are you guys just going to stand there gawking at each other or what?"
I looked at Violet who had her hands folded in front of her with a grin plastered on her face. Klaus chuckled and shook his head still sitting on the couch with his beer.
"Little one, making fun of me already?" Indigo teased her and went to her side to kiss her crown. He was going to be on the edge, I knew it. Even though Violet was new to this world she didn't seem to show that. She got along so well, settled well, in just a day. Indigo was happy she was enjoying her new home and with that she was welcoming everyone she met, warmly.
"No dude. It has been since yesterday that I am teasing you. God, you need to work on your realization skills!" She replied. We burst out laughing as Indigo gave her the look.
"Violet." He said, sounding like a warning. But Violet just shrugged, giggling.
Klaus got up and stood beside me. He put his hand out and patted my head saying, "You look beautiful, dear. Have a great evening with your mate." My small smile grew to a big one as he kissed my hair. Violet beamed a smile of her own at his words.
I missed dad. He used to always encourage me with his words and actions. It was Klaus here. I was happy that my wolf and I had a father figure here.
"You sound just like dad," I told him, looking up at him.
"Do I now?" he laughed. I was very much sure he had met my father before. He was the beta here before Eli.
"Let's go now. Violet, you do not leave the house. You two cook whatever you want. If we are late, don't wait or just link me. Klaus, please take care of her. Don't let anyone in. Also little one, get some sleep, you have a big day coming up. Listen to Klaus and do not-" Indigo went on and on until Violet decided to speak.
"Brother, I'm just fine! I won't be going anywhere, okay! Just get out now and stop worrying about me." She said, laughing slightly. Indigo let out a small chuckle. His wolf was standing on all fours, his ears raised up to sense any trouble. My wolf did the same. She cared for her. This place was the safest of all, we knew and Klaus was a trusted person. Indigo wasn't going to leave her alone with some random person. His belief in Klaus gave me an idea that Klaus was indeed a father figure to him too.
Indigo breathed out, "Okay little one." He kissed her cheek at which she giggled like a child. He hugged her and nuzzled her making sure his scent was on her.
I could only imagine what our pup's-
No! Stop right there, Laura!
"Laura, let's go." Indigo said, making me snap out of my own world. I needed serious help. We walked out, or we were rather pushed out of the house by an excited Violet.
"Byeee! Enjoy you two!" Violet screamed, standing at the door, waving at us. Indigo and I waved back to her and she closed the door.
Indigo put his hand out for me as he looked down at me. I smiled and looked at my mate and then back at his hand then I put my hand in his. "Let's go." The effect of the bond immediately started to buzz inside us.
I did not know where he was taking me. We walked in silence for a while as he tightened his hold on my hand. The sparks immediately rose up through the bond. The sparks were going to grow day and night until we mated. The bond was only going to work to bring us close to each other. It was going to be difficult to be away from each other for too long with the power the bond carried. And that power was only growing with time.
"Where are we going?" I broke the silence. I knew the packs in the west had really beautiful sites to enjoy. They had a lot of waterfalls, streams and cliffs that gave a good view of the mountains. There were echo points and many other things that would make for a perfect vacation in the wilderness. The best view of the setting sun was another phenomenal scenery that one got to see from the top of those mountains.
When I went for a run with Villa to relax my wolf, she had taken me to the east of the pack. We hadn't gone that far, so I did not know.
"If I tell you, I won't be able to see the look of surprise on your face." Indigo replied. I raised an eyebrow. He was doing me with his words.
"Give me a hint at least." I said, bending forward slightly to look into his eyes, still walking. He laughed and shook his head.
"So desperate." He said.
Yeah. ofcourse. I was desperate, for you though.
Okay Laura. Cool cool.
My wolf was laughing at me. I wanted to smack her head so hard. "Fine. Just don't kidnap me." I told him.
"Oh no, I will do more than kidnap you, Laura."
Why does he have to say my name like that?
I blushed at his words and hit his chest playfully. He was really good at wooing me. I pushed my hair behind my ear and looked ahead. He knew he had an effect on me.
Damn him.
I quickly changed the topic, "So what more do I have to know about my mate?" I asked. My heart had increased its pace a little. I did not know if whatever he was going to tell me about him was going to sit with me or not. I believed him though.
Those things that people talked about him did not sit well with me or my wolf. We would have ran the first time we saw him. But we did not. My wolf was hundred percent sure about it but I still was living in doubts.
"I am how you see me, Laura." He told me and then questioned me back, "You tell me, how do you see me?"
How do I see him?
I had known him for a day. All I knew about him right now was that he had been through a lot. He was cursed for a long time, before he found me. He had a good heart, that was for sure. He was a good alpha to his people, to his pack. He was strong and determined.
And delicious looking. My wolf just grinned at that.
I came to this pack five days ago with my mission. There wasn't one single person who looked unhappy here. Well, at least the ones that I met. When I talked to Villa, she knew whose scent I had asked her about. It was against the rules to meddle in pack business without the alpha's permission. She was even going to consider letting me adopt her daughter if I was his mate.
Why would she give her child to someone whose mate was ruthless?
I wanted to give him my honest answer. About what I thought and not what people thought. We were mates and these small things were going to help build us further as the bond grew.
"I think you are not what the people talk about outside this pack, Indigo. You are just the opposite," I shrugged. We were walking a trail that was leading us into a more bushy area. There were pretty yellow coloured flowers lined up along the side of the trail.
"Go on, I know there's more," he said suddenly. He must have sensed it. I was hesitating. I couldn't come to conclusions so soon but I had a strong feeling all those were just rumors. I believed them to be rumors. So did my wolf. She was just sure of it, somehow and I was going to trust her instincts.
"I have only known you for a day, Indigo. From what I have seen, you are not what they talk about. I don't know if the rumours involving you are true or not," I took a breath and continued, "My dad always used to tell me that 'Your past either makes you better, or worse..' I can tell you this one thing, Indigo. You are not better yet, no one is, not even me, but you are also very very far away from worse."
He smiled at my response. I didn't know how he would feel about my answer. The bond between us did not shake even a bit. He was smiling. Wholeheartedly.
"You already said rumours, love and you say you don't know if they are true or not." He raised a brow at me.
Damn. A good listener.
"I believe they are just rumours." I said firmly.
"How do you know that?" He asked me. We had reached down a slope, ahead of which looked like a valley. The slope was not steep at all. It was maintained well for people to travel easily. Stones fixed in the mud made it easy to climb down.
Indigo was carefully leading me down the stony steps holding my hand as we continued the conversation. .
"Let's just say I...Oops!!" I stumbled a little, making Indigo's hold on me tighten. Those small gestures were warming my heart.
"Careful there, blue." He said as he held me tightly. My wolf was growing fond of her mate too.
"Yeah. Who can I blame when there's so much distraction here?" I said without thinking with a roll of my eyes.
Fuck me! I pressed my lips together instantly, not looking at him.
He pulled me hard into his chest, holding me by my waist, "Distraction, huh." He pushed my hair behind my ear and then continued, "Big distraction, aren't I?" He smirked.
Well, he was. No lie.
I was a darker version of red. The closeness created more sparks to rush into the bond and made me feel things. I was sure he felt the same.
I pushed away from him and started walking ahead, taking quick steps. He stood there, as I came down some ten steps. I looked back and caught him eying my ass.
Asshole!
"Hey, you pervert! Eyes up here." I said out loudly, my finger pointing at my face. He snapped his eyes at me casually, like he wasn't doing something wrong.
He ran up to me and said. "Why would I be a pervert if I am looking at what is mine?" The smirk on his face was flattering. I shook my head and ran ahead again.
I turned around and said, "You are very delusional, Alpha."
That would do him. And it did. He growled in response.
"You call me Alpha once again and I will not hesitate to mark you right here and now." His alpha was evident in his voice. I was going to provoke him as he was provoking me and my wolf. My wolf and I were not going to let this slide this easily.
"Yeah whatever. Where to now?" I totally ignored me, making him growl again.
I was taking chances. I do not know how true he was to his word. What if he did mark me? No, no. Not so soon. I wasn't going to let him mark me so soon. I needed to show this Alpha, I was not less.
He followed me down as I walked ahead. The twists and turns on this path made it more adventurous. I reached down and stood waiting for him. He was behind me in seconds. I could hear the slow running water in the distance hidden behind the lush greenery.
"We need to cross the river. It is.." he walked me a few steps, until the river came into view, "...right there." He pointed out.
It was so beautiful down here. Mountains on both sides with a river running in between, surrounded by bushes and trees forming a perfect picturesque view. It was pleasant here. The smell of this place matched Indigo's earthy one. Just fucking wonderful.
My wolf and I wanted to roll in it.
"This place is so beautiful." I said and held his elbow, moving close to him. I was taking in the scent of this place with my mates. I did not realize what I was doing, holding him like that. His scent was going to be all over me.
I was definitely going to sleep better today.
"Come. Only five minutes more. We need to shift after crossing it." He told me. I thought this was where our date was going to be.
"I thought this is the place." I said, narrowing my eyes at him.
"Nope. You'll love it more when we get there." He said as he held my hand again.
There wasn't a bridge as the river was small in size. A decent sized log was put across it so a person could cross it easily. He let me walk ahead of him as we walked to the otherside. I did feel like I was on a trip with my boyfriend. There was no one in sight. The cool aura of this place was so good, I could live here all my life.
Well, I was going to live here all my life.
We crossed the river and I looked back at the scenery once again. Even my wolf was loving this place. "I'm going to go shift behind the tree." I said. He smirked and suddenly grabbed me by my waist and pulled me to him. He was making it hard for me to resist him. I did not want to but I knew I had to wait.
"Scared of what I'll do to you." He said, getting close to my ear. I shivered. Fuck. I closed my eyes, holding my breath. His scent, his words, his voice, his closeness, it was drawing me to him. I stood there holding his arms, not wanting to move.
"Go shift or I can help y-'' I released myself from his grip quickly and let out the breath I was holding. I growled at him and turned to rush behind the tree, giving him a death glare. He was smirking.
Of course he was smirking.
I quickly went behind the tree and took off my clothes and shifted. My wolf was happy to come out and spend some time with her mate. She had only seen him through my eyes. My desperate bitch was so quick to take over. She shook her form first and picked up my clothes and went to where Indigo was.
He was in his big black form with those beautiful amber eyes that contrasted his fur. Fuck, he was huge. He was ethereal. The afternoon sun rays shone on his shiny fur, making him look like a dream. My wolf growled at the sight of her mate, making him return the growl. She lifted her front paw and moved her head up and down, assessing him.
Taking in his scent, she pressed her raised paw on the ground, moving a step ahead. He did the same. He sniffed her and moved forward, taking a step.
My wolf kept walking ahead without taking her eyes off her mate. Purring and moving their own way, they came face to face with each other.
I let my alpha take over. I let my aura out to let our mate know who we are. My wolf dropped the clothes on the ground and moved her head under her mate's muzzle, rubbing it over his. He took it as a sign of approval and growled. He rubbed his head against hers the same way making her feel wanted and loved.
His wolf licked her neck once, earning her purr in approval. He kept doing it again and again until he was satisfied. She did the same with him. He was bigger in size compared to us. While his wolf was all black, our fur was dark grey with a tinge of white on the underside of the belly. Our paws were grey too.
Both of them nuzzled each other, coating each other with their own scent. No one would dare come close to us nor him. They made sure of it.
The alpha aura was so strong in the air, no one would dare come within a hundred metre vicinity around us.
His wolf stepped back to look at mine and then in the direction of the path we had to follow. That's when I felt him link me, trying to bang on my walls. I pulled up my walls harder, making him growl.
Yes bitch! I smirked.
He had a lesson coming. He had to know what it felt like to block your mate. He pushed some more and more, growling and taking a step forward. My wolf took her stance. She was not going to let him affect her. He needed to know we were no less than him.
He ignored us and moved to walk behind us. We turned to look at what he was trying to do, thinking he was going away. His enormous form gave him the upper hand when he suddenly licked very close to my wolf's ass.
Oh my fucking sanity! Fuck!
My wolf jumped and faced him with a growl, the hair on her back raised, her stance threatening. The pace at which our heart was pumping increased. He growled back at us, nudging my walls to link me again. We weren't going to give up so soon. He might be the big bad alpha but we were not less.
We jumped. We jumped and caught his ear in our mouth. My wolf bit on it and clawed at his neck. She was pissed but turned on. He jerked his head, throwing us off him with a growl.
My wolf was on her feet in seconds. She shook her fur and barked at him while his wolf wiped his neck with his paw. I smirked and opened the link, "Now how was that Yarbrough..?" I questioned.
His wolf neared us. He linked me saying, "Very feisty of you. But you know what, I will make sure, you won't be able to answer the same question after I mark you."
Waiting Alpha!
"It was just one lick this time." His alpha warned mine.
My wolf growled seductively, loving the way he talked. Wild and hot. She loved how her mate was making her feel things she never felt before. So did I. He definitely got me all bothered and restless with his words.
And actions.
But we knew we needed time. We had so much to learn about each other. So much to know. I hadn't even met his pack yet. Except for the sessions I had with a few of them for the reason I was here.
We stood our ground and said, "We'll see, when it comes to that." I told him. My wolf ignored him and looked back at the clothes, "Do we need to carry the clothes?" I asked him.
"No. Keep it here. No one will touch them," he said, glaring at me at first but answering anyway. His wolf pulled both of our clothes together in his big mouth and kept them on a big boulder near the river, far away from the water.
He turned back and looked at us, "We need to follow this trail." He pointed out with his head to the grass cleared trail. My wolf nodded her head and sprang into the direction of the path he had pointed, leaving him behind. We heard him run after us the next second.
He growled behind us as we pushed our legs harder on the ground following the beautifully carved trail. My wolf loved the twists and turns through these mountains. She loved it more because she was running along with her mate. I sat back while she took the lead on the run.
Indigo matched up to our speed in seconds, yipping at us and playfully growling. He urged us to move faster and we did. We did. It was like he pushed a good amount of adrenaline into us. My wolf did not have a run like this for months with all the work.
I desperately needed the run.
The run worked for both of us. His wolf loved to run with his mate. The bond. Oh goddess, the bond was amplifying, so much that it made us forget about the rest of the world. Like we did not want to be away from this man ever again. It felt like I was complete. Like I was whole with him. We wanted him to mark us, maybe at the moment.
Indigo did not push us and I knew he wouldn't. Flirting and teasing every now and then was fun and it got us bothered but that wasn't going to stop us from making the right decisions.
We will mark each other eventually, that was a hundred percent. We couldn't resist it anyway. We had Violet to worry about right now plus my parents coming here when I tell them.
Too much on our plate.
We ran for about five minutes when I heard the sound of water. It sounded like a waterfall. Indigo yipped at us more as we ran. After a few minutes, he jumped ahead, making us come to a stop. She slowed down in front of him and purred softly at her mate. She licked his ear that she bit.
Grinning, he showed his teeth to us. The cocky Alpha was smiling at us. He touched our head, closing his eyes while my wolf did the same. It felt surreal. Although he acted all alpha on us, he was soft on the inside.
No doubt Violet called him cute.
He moved back, "Come on. Let's shift." I gave him a death glare and growled at him.
"I thought you had clothes here." I shouted.
"Come on Laura. I am your mate." There he goes, saying my name in his dominating, bold voice.
I growled at him a bit louder this time and showed him our teeth. The guy was surely testing my patience.
Immediately he moved back and went to a nearby tree. His wolf threw a stone away with his paws. He pulled out a t-shirt and a pair of boxers.
Such an asshole.
He picked them up and brought the clothes to me, dropping it in front of my wolf. "I will never do anything you do not want me to do, blue." He said, honesty dripping in his tone.
Goddess! All the little anger vanished into thin air. My wolf looked at him and nodded. He nuzzled her once again and so did she.
"Good. I kind of knew you wouldn't," I replied.
"Go shift behind that boulder." He said. I quickly picked up the T-shirt and a boxer and ran, jumping behind the boulder. I shifted and wore the clothes. The clothes had his scent on them.
Perfect.
I came out and found Indigo already looking into our direction. He was shirtless, like I had seen him in the morning. His tones, perfectly built muscles grabbed my attention. His six pack abs looked at me begging me to lick them nice and good.
His physique reeked of toughness, strength, muscularity, power... My inner goddess, licking her lips at the holy sight in front of us.
"Distracted again, blue?" He caught my attention, snapping my eyes from his naked upper body. He had a shit eating grin plastered on his face with a raised brow.
I was hotly distracted.
"Pfft. You wish." I said with a roll of my eyes and walked up to him.
He laughed wholeheartedly. He looked so good when he laughed. His little dimples showed, making him look cuter. I smiled at him and continued the path where we had to go. He came beside me, taking a hold of my hand and nudging my shoulder playfully.
"You are an ass." I told him.
"Yes, but I am your ass, blue." He replied, laughing again.
Well. Yeah.
I smiled looking into his eyes. We walked some more as wetland started to appear. It was cool against my feat with Indigo's heat and warmth around me. We increased our pace as Indigo made me turn to the right. There was water puddled on the ground where we started walking. It was flowing, finding its own way, cutting through small pebbles.
The falling water sounded so beautiful. Indigo turned me around to face him before I could see the waterfall. He bent down and pecked my lips, making me gasp in surprise. It was so sudden.
"What was that for?" I asked him, as I blushed.
"I don't see you complaining." He said.
No. I was not.
I laughed and shook my head. He walked me again, holding my hand. We made another turn and that's when I laid my eyes on the gracefully running, bright and scenic waterfall. The fall was delightful.
At some places it was opaque, flowing down in huge amounts and at others it was transparent, like it formed a mirror of its own. It's water collected below it. The rocks, the boulders, the way the water came down, the small trees that grew along the sides made the place look astounding.
"It's so wonderful." I said softly and looked at Indigo. He was already looking at me. He held me by my waist and we stood there for a while.
"I wanted to see this look on your face, blue. I wanted you to relax. I could feel you are a bit stressed about everything. I saw how bouncy and chipper your wolf felt after that run and I knew this was the place that could help both of us." He spoke. His words made their way directly to my heart.
Oh goddess! I was in trouble.
