Indigo

My wolf started getting anxious as we neared the border. There was something that was bothering me and my wolf here, in my territory. It had a pull for me of some sort. But the most important thing I had to concentrate on right now was whether Violet could see the barrier.

The barrier was only a meter away from us. Right in front of our eyes. But Violet did not see it, she just hummed to the music and drove through it, making me gawk at her in shock.

What the fuck was the deal with my sister?!

Violet had slowed down the speed. She started getting more nervous as we neared. I could feel her distress and uneasiness. My wolf and I only wanted her home and within our eye site. Right where I know she could feel comfortable. That place she would call home.

I told her to stop as we reached the spot Eli was going to meet us. I did not smell him which meant that asshole was late. It took us longer to reach here anyways with the speed Violet was driving.

Violet was nervous so I asked her to move outside the car. She literally jumped out of the car and carried on with her routine stretching then moved to open my door. I jumped out and pulled her into my fur, nuzzling like the pup she was of mine. My wolf had never been so happy in life. She relaxed a bit and held onto me scratching around my neck.

I rubbed my scent over her form as a father would do to his pup. She was my little one, my wolf's pup, my entire world right now. A reason for my living. Nobody was going to take her away from me ever again. I was going to do everything in my power to keep her protected and happy, with me. I knew I would keep the world at her feet if she wanted to.

I felt Eli nearby trying to link me. I know he smelled her and was trying to reach me to confirm his suspicion. I held my walls up so he couldn't link me because I knew he would bombard me with a rap of questions.

"He's here." I told Violet. She tried to move away to get a clear look at him but I pulled her back to make her stand near my neck. It only calmed me and my wolf.

There was something else my wolf was frantic about. He was growing restless. There was this pull of some sort, playing with us. What was fuck was wrong? I tried to get to an understanding with my wolf when Eli approached. His wolf moved to stand in front of us and stared at Violet. He shifted from one leg to another, huffing out breath and sniffing her at the same time, trying to believe she wasn't a ghost.

I opened my link before he did something stupid. His wolf was staring at her, whilst he ignored his Alpha. Completely! 

How dare he?! He definitely had a death wish.

I growled at him loud enough for him to snap his attention at me and bow to me. "Go and shift Eli." My voice was that of a command of an Alpha.

At this point, I did not care if he was my best friend. I knew he could manage my wrath. He was the only one who could. My wolf was a bit restless though. No, not a bit. He was restless, big time. He eyed Eli's wolf until he confirmed the one thing he wanted to confirm.

Eli was not her mate.

I didn't know if I ever felt so relieved in my entirety but knowing he was not her mate made me.

One thing I was sure about right now was that he was not her mate. Not even a potential mate at that! He would have fought me if he saw me so close to her. He would have tried to fight for her. He would have done something. But that would only have gotten him killed.

I didn't hate Eli. I could never think about hating him. If I had to compare anyone who was a hundred times better than him, I would still choose him. He was my brother, not by blood yet more than blood. I would have been happy if he was her mate, not before putting him in his place.

The fact was I hardly had a day with my sister. I did not want some random guy to barge in, saying she was his and then take her away from me. She hadn't even seen me in my skin yet. I had just found her, the only remains of my parents had left behind for me and with the goddess's will, I had found her alive, after fifteen years.

She was the brightest diamond of my life that mom and dad had left for me. Fuck, I was a sap. A jelly for fucks sake when it came to her.

Eli looked back at me and linked me, "Ho-ow?"

"Go and shift Eli, my wolf is already on the edge." He didn't try anything further. He went to a nearby tree and got dressed. He came back stunned, still in shock, staring right into Violet's soul. Violet looked a bit awkward. She did not speak all this time as he ogled her.

He came to stand in front of her saying, "How?" He was so shocked. "How is this possible?" He kept staring at her as he now stood stiff at his spot. He ran his hand down his face, trying to figure out if this was real or not.

"I don't know." I simply replied through the link. He was losing his shit at a fast pace. And that meant I was going to earn a hundred bucks soon.

"She smells-"

"Yes, she does. She is my little sister, my blood." I cut him off.

"She is real!! Where did you even find her?" He asked, wanting to know more.

"At Glowing River." I told him. My wolf wanted to run home and so did I. It was this pull I was feeling to get back into the pack as soon as possible.

Was something wrong? Dammit!

Eli would have felt it too, if something was wrong. Even though the asshole was busy trying to accept she was real, his senses would have caught if there was danger. Eli's better prediction on how well a situation would go and to handle it at the same time was what he was known for.

I was trying to understand the situation on my own but there wasn't any sort of danger here. There was something else. I pushed my sensory powers further but Eli made an attempt to touch her face. I growled at him loudly, stopping him from doing something stupid. He stopped before I could rip his hand out.

"I just want to feel if she is real, Alpha." He linked me not wanting to test my patience and called me Alpha. I had already let my Alpha give away his aura to convey the pack I was here.

Eli still looked at her, a smile forming on his lips despite my anger clouding around him. The asshole he was. 

"You just- I don't know what to say- You are- ah shit." He laughed looking at her. Violet laughed back enjoying his stuttering while I was dead set on making him back off. 

"Indigo kind of mentioned you'd lose it." She said to him, my veins had started humming.

What the fuck was wrong with me, already?. Maybe it was because I was home without finding my mate. Or maybe because Violet was here.

My wolf needed to have a good run, right now. Dammit!

"Yeah. And now I lost a hundred bucks." He told her. Although he looked satisfied even after losing a hundred bucks. It was the same joy that I had felt yesterday when I saw her near the river. It brought back my memories from last night.

"How did yo-" she was going to ask him how he lost the money.

Asshole cannot keep his mouth shut. Before she finished I cut her.

"Get in the car Violet. Eli will drive." I wanted to take her home as early as possible and damn even my wolf wanted to run home.

"Oh. okay. You going to sit in the car or?" She asked me. I wanted to, I swear I wanted to get in the car. I thought I could run ahead of it, if that was what my wolf wanted.

"No, I'll be running just ahead of the car." I told her rather immediately.

"Welcome home, Violet." Eli spoke with a big smile on his face. So he was finally sober.

"Thankyou Eli," she replied with a big smile of her own.

"Eli in the car, now. You  are going to be driving, I'll run ahead of you." I told him as he furrowed his eyebrows.

"Sure." He said and moved to open the door for Violet. Before Violet could sit in I licked her hands and face.

She  giggled, saying, "I'm not going anywhere brother. We are going home." She tried to assure me as she moved her hands around my neck.

My scent was already over her, so it was no trouble. I still wanted her to know we love her. Me and my wolf, both loved her. I moved in front of the door and pushed Eli out of the way. That asshole was still smiling. I waited until Violet settled down and pushed the door close.

I gave Eli a pointed look to which he said, "Goddess, relax. I am not going to run away with her."

"You could only dare!" I said with a loud growl. He was purposely trying to provoke me. He needed a good fight from me. It had been five months anyway.

There was one thing about him, actually both of us, even though we'd piss each other off we knew how to make it up to each other. That's what made us the inseparable duo.

He ran to the driver's seat and started the car, still laughing. I took off first and they followed behind. My wolf started running pretty fast with them behind us. My veins were feeling more alive as a new euphoria rushed in them. The pull was growing stronger as we covered more distance. It was an undeniable attraction I was feeling.

My wolf was coming to life more. I did not understand what it was that was taking a toll on me. Maybe it was Violet or maybe it was because we were home.

Ignoring the assumptions in my head, I ran faster, but not for a second ignored the conversation in the car and glanced back again and again. Eli told her I could hear them talking with all the super hearing and other enhanced senses. He was trying to make her understand all of it in simple yet fancy terms.

When she told him about the rogue, he couldn't stop the snarl. He had a hatred for rogues too. He despised them with all his guts much more than me to be true. Violet gave him a piece of advice about how we need to understand and use the word relax in our daily life.

She was too adorable.

I couldn't believe him when he said, "Yeah, I'm sorry. I couldn't imagine anything happening to you, again." He had allowed himself to recognise her as one of our own. He knew everything about her curse. He knew she wouldn't have a wolf which was why he did not question me about her being human.

He was only shocked because to us she was dead. He cared. It was all that was important. I also knew he would not try to get to her if she was not his mate. He was waiting for his fated mate to make an appearance although he had his eyes on one particular female warrior in the pack. So that was a plus for me.

As I was running I could feel my wolf melt at the feeling that was churning within me. My wolf had taken control from me to go faster. Even I wanted him to run faster.

A faint scent invaded my nose as I pushed harder, running into probably nothing. It was intoxicating to my nose. My wolf growled in approval of the scent.

Fuck.

It was a mixture of the smell of oceans along with the essence of coconut oil and coconut milk. It blended perfectly, reaching my brain where it was going to be fixed forever. It felt like I would be paralyzed but all I wanted to do was reach to find its source.

The scent travelled to every fibre of my body making my wolf lose control over his form. It was one of the best scents I had ever smelled in my entirety. No. It was the best scent I had smelled. And it belonged to the person who belonged with me.

Mate. My mate.

Holy fucking fate!

My wolf growled louder, pushing his legs harder against the ground. I could feel it. I could feel myself come to life again. I moved to the front of my wolf's mind, immediately, still letting him be in control.

Our mate was here. In my own territory, my own pack. The scent blew my mind away in a way it shouldn't have. It was the reason we felt the pull towards the pack. The pull that made me a bothered Alpha. There was no other scent that could be this enticing and captivating. Nope.

Eli had also increased the speed of the car as I could still hear the car and him laughing.
Eli knew. Damn right he knew.

Goddess. What are you doing to me?
Yesterday my sister and today my mate.

I prayed mentally for this to not be some kind of a sick game. I swear I would die from it. 

I was running like a scent-struck mate, jumping mid stride at the energy coursing through me. I was burning to shift now. Burning to jump into her ocean filled scent. Goddess, how perfect did she sound just from her scent.

My mate, my saviour was here all this time to save me. Save this Alpha that people actually feared. She was here like my light in shining armour. Well, shit, I sound like a gonar. But I cared less. She was my knight. My saviour knight.

It was a different kind of feeling pulsing and sinking me deeper into her oceans. I was already into her oceans trying to find the horizon where I could see her, waiting for me just like a sea goddess.

I wanted to touch her, hold her, look into her eyes and call her mine. Call her my knight and my goddess.

Run faster!

There was no stopping now. The pack's cabins and houses were in our sight now. I wasn't looking left and right. I could smell the patrols spread out around the area, moving away from the aura I was radiating.

I kept running as I lost it to my wolf which eased the burning in me to some extent. But I didn't want it to stop burning until I laid my eyes on her. I wanted out. Now! My wolf was growling and howling all the way. He was warning anyone who came our way to move away. He was also howling to the pack to let them know he was back and had found his mate here. He wouldn't stop until he laid his eyes on her. Our aura spread around the pack like the wind during the storm. 

The car was behind us. I could feel Violet's anxiety. I did not want her to worry now that she was home.

Running, we caught sight of her, breathing heavily, standing outside the cabin. When I came through from the trees into the clearing, I stopped midway and I laid my eyes on her, my mate.

Sweet Goddess! 

The scent and the strength she was radiating was just going to drown me. I stopped and stood around three metres away from her. She was looking at me the same way I was looking at her. My wolf was eyeing her wolf through her eyes. Her wolf was on all fours, looking at her mate, approving of him. Her wolf had accepted us and was taking in my alpha the primal way she wanted.  

My wolf took his time approving of our beautiful mate. Once I shifted I wasn't going to let him out soon or maybe I would. He knew I had to take control now.

I felt the power of the curse lift off me as the burning in me increased. I gave it all out while I heard the car come to a stop but Eli did not make Violet move out of the car yet. Great. He was helping her understand this.

My wolf started moving towards his mate as the remains of the curse felt like it were being sucked out of my wolf. I could feel skin once more. I could feel my veins, humming and filling with power to shift after a long time. 

My eyes did not move away from her blue coloured oceans. Her eyes were a perfect epitome of the bright blue sky and the blue sea, just like her scent. Everything about her blended so well with her, I could just drown in her for all I cared. And I just knew I could never get enough with drowning. I'd drown for like a million times and come back to life a million times only to drown again.

She was so beautiful. Her tanned face with plum like lips, looked like a delicacy to be devoured. Her pearl-like teeth, making a small appearance through those lips was just another flawless factor on her face. Dark black hair spread across her shoulders with her small ears hiding behind it. Her pretty little nose, trying to sniff around as her beast was making her.

Standing there with her fingers in a tight grip and in her night dress and shorts that showed her perfect tanned legs made me swoon at her like a teenage boy in love. I was already falling for her. That much I knew.

She was made for us, born to be ours. By the amount of control and strength she was radiating, she reeked off an Alpha wolf.

Another alpha wolf in my pack and Eli did no- wait. The Alpha doctor!!

Fucking perfect!

She was the doctor Eli was talking about. Pride surged through me as I put things together. My wolf stood in front of her and her wolf stood her stance.

My mate smiled at me, taking in my huge form, approving of us. Once I felt the curse was fully lifted off me, that's when a new energy pierced my veins starting from my head and gushed to all the parts of my body. I began shifting and in seconds I was on my two legs. I was in my skin now after six whole months, standing in front of my mate, naked. While I cared less about my nudity, I felt so good right now.

She was still looking into my eyes, moving closer to me as a smile formed on my lips. Both of our hearts were beating at the same pace, matching the rhythms on their own. I felt desire, love, passion fill me at the sight of her. The warmth of her closeness, the aura of her alpha, the blues of her scent were enough to give me a hard on. 

All I needed to breathe was her now.

"Mate," I said, smiling and moving to touch her cheeks. My thumb rested on her cheek while my fingers went through her hair to hold her neck. The blazing sparks flew from my fingers to my entire form making my wolf howl inside my head. We loved the effect of the bond she was having on us. There was so much rawness in that touch. I knew she felt it too. She closed her eyes in an instant, rubbing her cheek on my palm and inhaling deeply.

She opened her eyes and said the words I was dying for her to say. "Mate." Her voice, soft and sweet, reached my ears, lighting up my dull little messed up life. Perfect, just perfect. Her energy and desire was hitting me like the waves. The waves that were only trying to pull us together.

"Mine," I said out loud for everyone to hear, for the whole pack to hear.  There was dominance in my voice. My wolf growled loud enough to let the pack know their Luna was found and that their alpha's curse was broken. She was mine and only mine. An hour ago I had one reason to keep myself alive, now, I had two.

She smiled brightly at my announcement. I pushed my head in the crook of her neck inhaling her euphoric scent, deeply closing my eyes. I couldn't get enough of it. I wasn't ever going to get enough of it. She smelled wonderful. All mine.

She had her nose in my neck too, inhaling deeply, moving closer to my warmth but still leaving a gap between us. We were close enough and on top of that I was naked. The woman was going to kill me just like that. I was already ready to take her and mark her as ours but I knew I had to wait.

Dammit, I had to wait!

The proximity made the sparks burn brighter. Both of us wanted to burn them dim until they would rise again and we had to dim them again. They were never going to dim though, never. I inhaled one last time and pulled back to look into her eyes again.

"Mine," I said again. My wolf felt complete. Our mate was so strong, fierce just like the force of the powerful waves of the sea and beautifully attractive at the same time.

"Mine," She said and chuckled. Fuck. Her laughter was another thing I could live for.

"My father is going to barge in here the day I tell him," she said laughing as she looked at me. She wasn't scared about it though.

She was Alpha Terrawater's only daughter. Her declaration about her father only gave me an idea that he didn't like me at all but he loved her above all. The heck, he even sent her to the human world to study medicine. He must be really proud of her. He must have wanted her to be different. She was the first ever werewolf to have done that. I was already swelling and oozing with pride at my mate's achievements. The amount of respect I felt towards her was something no one ever before deserved from me. It was always 'take respect' for all these years. My mate had me complete the phrase though. She gained it just like that. 

My luna. My pack's Luna.

"Well. He is welcome to visit our home anytime he wants, Laura." I told her and she shook her head smiling but at the mention of her name she shivered. She loved it. She damn well loved me calling her name and damn she was turned on. Gotta make that a habit now.

I wasn't going to let anyone, be it her father, come in between us. We were fate mates. She was going to be the luna of the Crescent Moon pack. She was not just my mate, she was a blessing to my pack. Rather our pack.

I had to introduce her to Violet, the most important person in my life. I did not want to make a naked appearance in front of my sister but I guess she already saw me shift. On cue Eli came by standing a distance away from us for his own good and cleared his throat.

Asshole. We both looked at him. He had short pants and a shirt in his hand.

"I thought you would want to wear some clothes, Alpha." He said, a smirk plastered on his face. I rolled my eyes and took the clothes, wearing them. I looked back at the car and waved Violet to come out here.

"Luna." Eli showed his neck to her and then looked up, "I'm beta Eli Ambrose, as you already know me. I am also his pain in the ass best friend aka brother for life aka crime partner." He finished as Laura laughed. He would have said more absurd things to embarrass me but he knew it was not the right time. Violet came back a bit scared and shocked. She saw me shift right in front of her eyes.

Shit. It was too soon for her.

"Little one," I said as I embraced her in a big hug as soon as she neared. Having to see my little one in our skin was another amazing thing. I was going to break, seeing her like this in my arms after fifteen long years.

There were so many things happening too soon for her, as she did not have the memories of her childhood. She hugged me back and started crying. I almost cried seeing her like this. Almost. I held her tighter to me and let her cry trying to shield her from everyone. My little one was in arms the same way as she was when she was just a baby. The same way she was when she had disappeared from my hold.

"Violet, shhh, your home now. I'm here with you and I'm not going anywhere." I started rocking her slightly to calm her down. She felt the bond grow now as did I. It was natural to feel the bond as she entered the territory. She moved to look up at me, eyes puffed up from crying and lack of sleep.

"I am so happ-y for yo-ou," she sniffed hard but managed to talk. I laughed at her cuteness. She wanted to show me she wasn't scared. Instead she was happy I found my mate. Eli must have filled in on that. My little one was so caring just like mom used to be.

I kissed her forehead, smiling at her and pushing her hair away from her face. "And I'm happy you are home with me. Mom and dad are going to be so proud of you." I kissed her forehead again and turned to look at my mate who was smiling and on the verge of tears. Violet was still holding onto me as I held her by her shoulders. She was still sniffing as too many emotions were rushing through the bond.

"Laura, meet my little sister Violet Luciano Yarbrough," I told her "Violet, meet my mate, Luna Laura Lucca Terrawater." Violet beamed a smile looking at her. Laura was in tears as well. Eli must have given her a jist of things that had happened.

Laura opened her arms for Violet saying, "Come here, girl." Violet rushed to hug her.

I missed my parents at the moment. I wanted them to be here as I brought home our little one. Dad would have been so happy and mom would have kissed her all over her face. It was just a habit of hers.

Eli looked at me and ran to hug me. Asshole. Of course we hadn't seen each other in like five months. It took me a month after being stuck in my fur to leave the pack. I hugged him back and patted his back. "Welcome back Indigo." He said with a heavy voice.

"Thank you brother." I replied. He had managed it really well here in my absence. I was gratified and content that my man-child of a best friend and beta had managed the pack along with the others. These were the best two days of my life after the day Violet was born. It was a one plus one for me.

"Goddess! Violet, you need a lot of sleep," Laura told Violet, chuckling and wiped her tears. Damn, my mate warmed my heart at that. Her words were motherly.

"Yeah. A bath and then a lot of sleep. I must stink." She said, nodding her head.

My little one gets just what she wants! 

"Violet, Laura lets go home. Eli, go get Violet's bags from the car and meet me at home." I told them. "We'll go ahead." Eli nodded with his annoyingly dazzling smile and walked to the car. Asshole was happy and it kind of lifted some load up my shoulders. I owed him big time, with my life to be honest.

Violet did not leave Laura's side after that. Maybe she needed it, a little girl time or someone who could understand her in a better girl friendly way.

It was only yesterday that I was all alone. Sure, there were Eli and the others at home but this, I did not even think about it. The family I had always longed for. Who would have thought I would find two most important people in my life all in a matter of just two nights. I had not one but two of them to worry about as family. It was all happening so soon. Maybe I wanted it that way.

I wanted to know my little one in my own way. I know she hoped to see me in my skin. She was like my lucky charm I guess. It was because of her that I was home and because of her that I found my mate.

Goddess what had I done to deserve this?

My house was only a ten minute walk from the pack house. I walked beside Laura, holding her right hand. I couldn't resist being close to her. She further intertwined her fingers into mine and looked at me, slightly blushing and sneaking quiet glances. Violet was on her left as she held her close.

Family, our little family. Like Eli she had accepted her even though she was still a human. It was a good omen I could say. Hope for Violet's future.

Right now there was no difference, we were only family here. I promised myself to love and protect them with my life.
