We reached the cliff which was covered with clouds on all sides. We could see the sun peaking out from the soft bed that formed the clouds. The pack knew it was their Alpha and Luna, claiming this land yet again. They howled to show the pack they were there for them and that they would protect them with all their being.

The pack had grown anxious since the day Indigo announced to them about Violet. His wolf wanted to assure them it was alright and that they need not worry. I couldn’t help but grow fond of him more. He was so thoughtful when it came to the pack. I knew he did that because he felt deeply for them. Because they trusted him and felt the same way for him and also for Violet.

“Do you want to shift?” he asked me. I nodded.

We stood there for a while in each other's arms. Indigo then carried me to lean on against a tree, making me sit on his lap. Both of us kept staring at the sun setting and disappearing from where the horizon was behind the white ocean of clouds.

I had to talk to Indigo about my dreams. I was arguing with myself if I should tell him now or after he marked me. I wanted to study further because just getting a doctor's degree wasn’t sitting with me. I wanted to study more to serve more.

I wanted the other’s to learn what I was learning. I wanted them to grow more on their own. It didn’t just involve the ones who wanted to be a doctor. It involved all those things that they had mastered themselves in.

I wanted their work appreciated. Alpha’s wouldn’t allow their pack members to go out in the human world all by themselves because ofcourse it wasn’t safe for them. It wasn’t an ideal place for shifters like us to get along with the humans. Their wolf had to be in much more control and a lot more ready to survive out there.

To say I was strong, yes I was. But I still wasn’t safe. No one was until the end of the hunters.

With the threat of the hunters gone, it would become easy for all of them. Shifters could travel places in hopes of finding their mate, in hopes of finding themselves something they want to do, in hopes of exploring the world like the others did.

I had talked to dad about it and he had agreed saying, “I will always guide you angel but now you have a pack to look after. I am not saying you can’t talk to me, you should because I am your damn father and I will want to know everything about you but you also need to talk to your mate and give him an idea about it. Hiding from him won’t do good to any of you. And with you being Luna, let me tell you it’s going to be difficult but there is always a way.”

I agreed with him. I knew I had to speak to Indigo about it. He was already threading low with me going back there. I didn’t know how he would react to this new information bomb I was going to drop on him.

“I don’t want to stop you from achieving anything, blue.” He said still looking elsewhere. I nodded slightly and brought my hand up to touch his face and made it turn back towards me.

“You’re not okay with it.” I stated as I felt him fighting with himself to accept it.

“No, I am not. Can we not take one thing at a time. You’re already focused on so many things with the sessions in every pack, keeping records on your mission, pack business, looking into Violet’s treatment personally and Goddess knows what.” He said, his tone sounding restless and disagreeing.

“I know. But it’s not like I'm going to go right away. I will still have to prepare for it. And then I’ll have to appear for an entrance. So I was thinking I’d do that while I am free now. I could appear for the entrance when I go back.” I told him but he kept glaring at me. “I know. I am sorry. That’s not your point, I get it. Still, Indigo please think about it. I want to do right if I am doing something.”

He shook his head and rested his head back on the tree trunk. “I don’t know. It’s too much for me, blue.” I bit my lip and he looked back at me. “Just-Just keep preparing for what you want to do. I won’t agree with it right now, I know it. I don’t even want to stop you. You-just, just do what you want to, I’ll be there for you, with you. I’ll eventually come to agree with you but don’t ask me to give you an answer right now.” He said, bringing me closer to him so our foreheads touched.

“It’s going to be okay. We’re trying opposite remedies of what the doctors had been giving her.” I told him.

“What do you mean?” He asked me, furrowing his eyebrows.

“All of them gave her pain-killing medications. Some were pretty high doses and they did somewhat help her. But they weren’t good for her health because it can cause a lot of side effects. We cannot blame them, they did not know her situation. So instead of painkillers we are going to try to increase her strength because we know what that pain does to us. The pack doctors have really gotten themselves hooked into treating her, Indigo. Don’t worry, the medications we are trying, I am very sure, it’s going to help her.” I told him.

“I'll thank them personally for it.” He said, pushing my hair behind my ear and my shoulder.

I felt someone nudging my walls trying to link me. I opened them and Ravi’s voice popped up in my head. “Hey Laura.”

“It’s Ravi.” I told Indigo and he nodded as he pulled me close and kissed my cheek, slowly.

“Hi. New news?” I asked him and Indigo kissed my other cheek, making me raise my brow. His hands moved over my stomach and rested there while his thumb caressed my navel.

“The weresnakes that we found dead the other day along with the fae had the same chemicals injected in them. And good news is, the dragons managed to find the hide of some of the hunters and have sealed the place for us to investigate. The oils were going to give her a calming effect, easing some amount of pain. I had been giving tea and syrups to strengthen her and keep her body detoxified so that no other toxins affected her in her time of pain.  The tea was also going to help her blood circulation be controlled.

“Luna, this is all you’ll need. I’ve put it all in a box so you don’t have to worry about anything.” Kate said, as she brought a box and put it on the desk.

“Oh, this is great. Thankyou so much guys.” I said with a smile.

They shied a little saying, “It’s no problem Luna. We are doing this because Violet is one of our own. Since the day she has entered the pack, the pack has only been better than before, like the hidden pain has somehow vanished.” Kate replied.

“The pack is worried about her as much, Luna.” Margo said, as he placed his files in his cupboard.

I gave them an assuring nod saying, “Hmm. I am so proud of our pack, you know. I wouldn’t have been able to do this if it weren’t for you guys.”

“Goddess Luna! You’re making us shy now.” Emma said and looked at Kate nudging her with a smile. They were feeling overjoyed to work with their Luna and on top of that being complimented by her. Goddess, I wanted them to see me as professionals with equal knowledge. But I also knew the importance of a Luna and them treating me like that was just natural.

I had asked them to study Violet's medical file so they could give me their own input on how we could help her. It was Kate who actually came up with the oils she always gave the ones with a body ache or the elder wolves incase of high blood pressure and other things.

I had prepared different herbs for her with the help of traditional medicine for werewolves. Her symptoms were that of her wolf's and treating her the same way was the only way it was going to work.

It was important for her nerves to be calm and we had decided to prepare sleep inducing portions for her. The medicines were going to help in decreasing stress and revitalize her brain cells leaving a soothing effect on her nervous system. Instead of pain reducing tablets we had decided to induce her with more  strength so she can overcome the pain upto a certain level.

I had an IV ready if she declined eating because her files stated she showed nauseating symptoms along with low appetite. Along with that Margo had suggested a combination of vitamins and amino acids to boost her energy and stamina so she could endure the pain much more.

I went home to find Indigo preparing dinner and Violet was resting her head on Klaus' lap as she had laid down on the couch.

I went to her side and asked her, "Do you feel anything else except the headache?"

"No, just a headache." She replied, opening her eyes. Indigo came out and stood beside me while Violet continued, "Okay now guys I don't want to worry you but I will say stupid things which obviously you won't take well. I also might, um, you know, say bad words, a little." She smiled innocently, "Don't freak out. I'll be fine by the end of it. And my Doctor is right here, so we don't have to worry at all. Promise me you won't worry much." She looked at the three of us.

Klaus stroked her head and said, "I can't promise you but I'll try."

"I won't promise you anything, little one." Indigo said, sitting near her legs causing her to pout.

"We'll be fine, baby." I told her with a smile. She nodded slightly.

For obvious reasons, I was more worried for Indigo than Violet. His Alpha aura was high in the air and his alpha just below the surface. With the power he was imitating it was going to be difficult for another low ranked wolf to take his presence.

I just hoped her wolf goes easy on her this time.
