CHAPTER 22: Home tour
Been a long time. I'm sorry. I had my postgrad exams and now they're over so updates will as usual ❤️

Laura
"It is owned by 'The First'!!" We stood up from our seats from the bomb that Alistair had just dropped.
Eli came through the door with a hand on his mouth, eyes wide as an owl as he looked at Alistair. "THE FIRST!!" He screamed.
Dramatic much.
It was a shock to all of us. The First was none other than the first vampire to walk on this planet. He was a legendary man and has been given the name for a long time now, feared as the strongest and most powerful vampire in supernatural history. He was history himself! He still lived and ruled over the vampire covens, known as their ultimate king.
Quentin Blacksmith was his name. A respected man and a man with honor. A scary and at the same time soft-hearted man. Well, that was how people described him to be. He showed himself not much but only where he was needed. Of what I had heard about him, he seemed to me a good man.
"Why do we not know about this?" Indigo asked, running a hand through his hair.
Goddess!
I felt everything Indigo was feeling right now. He was angry, surprised, confused with all the new information we received today. Violet was born different. It was well a shock to all of us. Indigo was so restless at this point, burning to let his alpha out. His wolf was a bit pissed at Klaus too, but he didn't show it. He knew Klaus was keeping his word.
I couldn't help but fall for him more when he kneeled down in front of Megha and thanked her, holding her hands. His actions were genuine and just perfect. Some Alpha's were cocky bastards who didn't know how to treat the ones older to them. Megha had mentioned about his father and mother being the same. No doubt he grew up to their expectations and teachings.
With him acting all gentlemanly, me and my wolf would just submit to him without a fight.
"I have a feeling Luciano knew about this." Klaus said, getting our attention.
"Goddess, dad!" Indigo looked above at nothing with his hands on his waist, frustration evident in his tone.
"If Quentin is the owner, Violet must have seen him." I said as I went to Indigo's side and put a hand on his back. He looked at me and visibly relaxed.
"We don't even have a picture of him nor have we seen him!" Indigo said while the others nodded.
"I have heard he keeps changing his looks every month or so. Even moves in and out of places very often." Alistair informed us.
"How old is he again?" Eli asked.
"He's, umm, I guess," Alistair was thinking with a hand on his chin, "He's just ancient." He finally said, making me look at Vicky as we both chuckled.
"Indigo look into Luciano's office today itself." Klaus told Indigo and he nodded.
"Isn't it unusual because she dreamt about the day she was born today and Megha told us about the same day.." I said, looking at Indigo. The others were surprised.
"She did?" Eli asked with wide eyes.
"Yeahhh. Dad told her to feel her inner storm." I told them.
"Alpha Luciano is complicated." Vicky chuckled, shaking his head.
"That's what Violet said." I told him, chuckling and shaking my head.
"Like I told you before, William might know about this. We have to involve him at some point of time." Klaus said again.
"No, not before we dig into more of this on our own first. William will be our last option." Indigo told him. Klaus nodded this time.
"I want to meet Quentin personally." Indigo said, looking into space, his alpha was on the edge. "Eli and Alistair, get information about him. Gather your contacts, take help from the pack if needed. Vicky we need to strengthen the pack lines. Make sure we are on alert twenty-four-seven. I don't have a good feeling about this man when it comes to Violet."
"Yes, Alpha." They all said.
"I do not want the pack to get worried. We have fests coming up soon. If you hear any stupid rumor inform me, I will personally look into it and if any of them have anything to say, tell them to come straight to me." Indigo told them. They nodded their heads in a yes.
"Thankyou Alistair." He said, as a small smile grazed his lips.
"About her aura being muted. I worked on the same flower but of a different species in my research, the one I told you about." I told Indigo and he nodded knowingly.
"What research, Luna?" Vicky asked.
Oh yeah right, they didn't know about it.
"Yeah, I worked on something that weakens our scent to zero. It almost vanishes. I have it patented with the council and I also signed an agreement with it. No one can use it in any case without my permission actually. I worked on the same flower with our pack doctors back then. Only three of us have used it in this world and it worked. Sacred Saussurea is sacred to the goddess not the other species. I don't know if they go hand in hand but I'll try and research more." I told them.
I could tell them what they needer to know. It's bot just the flowers, we had other ingredients involved in it and that I was sure going to work on to find more.
"Wow Luna, we didn't know. You're amazing." Eli said, with a big smile and looked at Vicky and Alistair who were also smiling. I blushed at the compliment and looked at Indigo who was already looking at me with pride in his eyes.
"We're blessed to have you, Laura." Klaus said which made me blush more.
Goddess!! Guys, stop looking at me.
"Alright, stop looking at her like that." Indigo said with a small growl while they chuckled.
"So there are right now two important things concerning her. One is her muted aura from birth and two, the healing one which keeps growing day by day." Alistair said, raising his fingers to get a count.
"Maybe we could all look into the muted one first, you know, by looking into your dad's office." I told them and they nodded.
"Yeah. I'll start looking into it today itself." I told them.
"I was thinking we could ask Violet directly, if she had heard about someone named Quentin Blacksmith." Vicky suggested.
"Yup. I'll ask her." Indigo told him.
"I say we send our warriors to look for this Raven person. The sooner the better." Eli said, as a matter of fact.
"Fine. Get them ready. Put Paolo and Arnold on it. Vicky, give me a list, I will make arrangements for their stay before they leave. Make sure you put our female warriors on it." Indigo said to Vicky.
Good he took this decision. Eli was right, the sooner the better.
We left after that and went back to work. I wrote a letter to the council yesterday about taking off from the job for a while. I wanted to show it to Indigo but I couldn't gather the strength to. I don't think I'll be able to leave even after we mark each other.
Why was this so difficult?
Indigo was looking through his dad's belongings with Klaus. I came back home and spent time with Violet. She sat with me and helped me sort out the papers and typed some mail for me.
I had given Ravi and the others the update about me finding my mate yesterday. They were happy for me and at the same time they were caught in a tight spot. Ravi had to take up all my responsibilities for a while. So I was here, mailing him everything. I wasn't off of the task. I would be informed of every little thing happening there.
"Can I volunteer to help you guys?" Violet asked me.
No sweetie no!
"Um, I don't think so." I told her, feeling sorry for her.
She slumped back into her seat, holding the laptop in her hands. "I am so bored. I want something 'happening' to happen in my life." She said, innocently.
Girl, you have no idea about the things happening in your life.
"To make you feel better, Indigo announced about you to the pack today." I told her and her face lit up like the sun.
"Really." She jumped in her seat, putting one leg on the couch and under her ass as she sat on it being very careful with the laptop in her hands. "What did they say?" She asked, looking curious.
"They are very happy you are here." I told her and she smiled ear to ear, her deep dimples showing.
"When can I meet them? Did Indigo say something about it?" She asked me, her whole attention was on me. She was so excited about meeting the pack but I was guessing her wolf had a part in it.
"Didn't he tell you that he'll introduce them to you slowly." I asked her.
She looked away and sank back in the seat again, "Yeah, he did. But to meet two thousand and more people will take two thousand divided by.. What if I meet two or three people a day...So that would be, um.."
I kept looking at her with narrowed eyes and an amused smile on my face while she was struggling with the math.
"Violet." I got her attention and she hummed looking at me. "Don't think too much, girl. You'll meet them. His wolf will look around the pack for some days to confirm your safety with them and that is going to be soon so don't worry. You'll meet them soon enough. You already met Paolo and Arnold, right." I explained to her the whole thing to make her understand his need to protect her.
I didn't want to scare her with the things we knew. Indigo already had so much to deal with. The safety of the pack was of as much importance as her.
That was another reason why I didn't want to leave him alone. How was I going to stay clear-headed when he would be struggling here alone?
I had to though, I wanted to finish what those hunters had started. So many shifters had put their lives on this project and now that I was so deep into it, I didn't want to back out. I couldn't even think about backing off only because I had found my mate. I would never forgive myself if I would as would my wolf. She wanted to rip apart the ones trying to hurt her kind. She wanted Aongus's blood and she was going to make sure she had it.
Violet was thinking about something so I thought about distracting her thoughts to something else, "How's your training going?" I asked her.
"Good. Jane taught me how to swim today." She told me. I refiled the documents I had to send the vampires. Violet did not know about their existence yet.
Should I tell her? She'll have to learn about them one or the other day, right?
I decided to tell her about them as casually as possible, "You'll learn in a week or so. The first thing dad taught me while I grew up was swimming." I told her and she smiled, "Can you mail these to the vamps, their mails will be saved by the name Cleo and Sarah." I said, as I forwarded her the papers I had scanned in my phone, waiting for a reaction from her.
"Vamps? Is it their cool buddy name or something? The band?!" She asked, chuckling as she found the word amusing, her eyes still on the laptop, typing while I kept staring at her. As realization hit her she paused her typing and looked at me with wide eyes.
"Yes!" I said, without her asking.
"VAMPIRES ARE REAL!! Oh my god!!!" She squeaked. I nodded, smiling.
"You are friends with vampires? They are helping you? But don't they like suck your blood from your veins?" She made a disgusted face and continued, "Eww, okay...calm down...but eww gross! And aren't vampires and werewolves supposed to be like each other's rivals? Does Indigo know about it? Oh my god! You're not lying to him, aren't you? He'll be devastated." She was standing now, still holding the laptop while her whole form was shaking right and left while she talked.
This was fun.
I laughed and shook my head, "Violet, Violet, calm down." She looked at me dumbfounded. "Fine, no we aren't rivals of any kind. We help each other to protect each other. And damn girl, your brother knows. Now sit down." I told her as she nodded her head. She sat down not breaking eye-contact with me.
"You're not lying!" She confirmed and I shrugged.
"Not everyone is bad and not everyone is good, Violet. Now, um, for example, yeah, the witch Raven that you met was good to you unlike Kira. Every kind has that. You either choose to be good or you choose to be bad. Humans, werewolves, witches, vampires or the others, we are all the same in a way." I told her as she looked at me.
"Others?" She asked slowly, raising a brow.
She caught that.
"Yes, others. But I won't be telling you about them. You should ask your brother!" I suggested with a wink. She pouted and looked back at the screen.
"There are no others in the pack, right?" She asked me, as only her eyeballs moved to look at me, emphasizing on the word others.
"No. Are you scared?" I asked her, tying my hair up with a clutcher.
"No. I don't know, maybe." She said, looking elsewhere. "I met a witch, a whole werewolf pack and my family. Now I know vampires exist along with the others. I don't know what to say." She said and turned her attention to me.
I smiled at her and said, "This is your world now, Violet. You were born here. This is where you were supposed to be. And well, being scared is okay. It teaches you to be stronger." I told her and I meant it.
We finished mailing everything and waited for Lianna. She had linked us that she'd be here sometime to discuss the events she had planned. Violet was in the kitchen making a cake because she felt like eating it.
I linked Indigo to check on him, "Found something?" I asked him, putting my clothes back in the closet.
"Nope. I am reading each and every diary, file even a single piece of paper of his." He said, frustration evident in his voice.
"I'd come and help but Lianna's coming over to discuss the events." I told him while I looked through the closet through Indigo's stuff. I found a whiskey bottle on one of the racks.
"You'd rather distract me, blue." He said, making me remember our scene out in the open. He took my breath away while I was riding my hot and wanting core on his hot thigh. He wouldn't let me have my release until I submitted to his alpha. My man didn't know me well, yet. I wasn't going to give him what he wanted so soon. It was hard to fight him but me and my wolf knew that we could go strong.
"Fine. I'll just keep myself distracted then." I said, taking a sip of the whiskey. It burnt my throat as it made its way down. I continued, "Nice whiskey you got here," I told him.
"Laura." His voice sent a shiver down my spine. His voice calling my name alone would make me come.
Fuck, why did he have to be so intimidating? Urghh!
"What? I can help myself well, Alpha." I said, wanting to provoke him.
No, no I cannot help myself. Urgh!!
"YOU WILL NOT!" He used his dominance on me and hell my wolf even let a horny purr.
"Concentrate." I said, seeming not bothered by his voice but in fact I was so very bothered that I had to clench my thighs. I blocked him out and placed the bottle back in its place and went out. I didn't want to get myself into more trouble than I already was.
I went to the kitchen to see Violet placing the cake batter into the oven. I was helping her to make the cream when Lianna entered.
She walked into the kitchen with her nose in the air and a smile on her face. "Awesome, I was wanting to eat cake anyway." She said, placing a hand on her belly.
"I know." Violet said, with a smirk.
Both of us raised a brow at her, "Well, this aunt and her little niece or nephew have a kind of telepathy you guys wouldn't understand." She said, as she bent in front of Lianna and talked to her stomach, making the two of us chuckle.
Violet was a mystery. When she said it, for a second I wondered if it was true.
Could it be?
"Okay, I have been wanting to tell this to someone since morning and now it's killing me. It's a girl!" Lianna blurted out.
"Oh my god!!" "That is one hell of a news!" Violet and I jumped, hugging her. She hugged us back very very tightly.
"I know, I found out today morning. I haven't told Alistair yet. I wanted to surprise him." She said, her hands wrapped around us.
We went to sit out and started filling Lianna's head with different ideas. We then discussed the spot for each little event from the pack map that Lianna had brought along with her, making arrangements to check if the required materials were available or that we had to get them. We made a good three page list with the names of the materials required and the quantity it will be required in while having the cake.
Lianna had almost everything arranged. She was fantastic at her job. We only had to confirm the number of warriors and pups that were going to participate and get the materials. The set up would be done maybe some weeks prior to the events, so the warriors and pups could practice. Violet registered herself, ticking almost everything as Lianna kept pouting.
"What about driving?" I asked her as she flipped the page.
"I can drive very well." She nodded. "Just put me on a bike and I'll go wooossshhh!" She said, waving her hand in the air.
"I agree, but Indigo might not." I told her.
"I'll show him my amazing bike riding skills later." She flipped it off, making me laugh.
And just like that the list was filled with blue ticks. The smile on Violet's face when she held the sheets of paper made my heart smile. My wolf loved seeing her like this, happy and comfortable. My wolf and I wanted to give her everything she wanted, everything she deserved.
There were also other exams apart from sports which included literature, awareness tests, general knowledge, etcetera in which anyone could participate.
Violet registered herself for these exams too, writing her name on the list. I don't know if Indigo would allow her to but I guess he'll come along until then. He wouldn't want her to sit at home while the pack enjoyed. He could carry her along with him if he wanted but not keep her home. I was going to help her gel up with the pack and make Indigo understand.
After Lianna left Violet and I decided to take a tour of the cabin. Both of us hadn't really explored it since the day we were here. We began from the outside. The front lawn was known so we went to the back through the right side. Indigo had maintained it well. He had small plants of different kinds planted around the natural fence.
"Everything is the same from the dream I saw." Violet said, as we reached the backdoor. The door was locked from the outside. The patio was long and broad, covering the whole edge of the house. A small table was placed in the center and three folding chairs placed around it. On one side were stairs.
At one corner of the fence was the waterfall that Violet had talked about. She made her way to it while I took a look around. It was almost the same as the front lawn. Most of the plants were the flowering ones. Some had bloomed while some were lush green.
I looked back at Violet and she was searching for the source of water that would start the waterfall. I went near and looked to the side where Violet was looking. "It's there. The pipe." I told her, pointing at the muddy pipe. We followed the direction of it and it led us near the kitchen window. There was a tap hidden behind the trees. Violet quickly turned it on and moved back to look at the waterfall. The water never came.
"Huh! Is it choked?" She asked and put her ear on the tap, sprawling herself on the ground and not caring about the clothes. She hit the tap several times but nothing.
Should I tell her that there was no water running through it?
I didn't hear the water travel down the pipe when she turned it on so...
"It's not working." She said, moving back slowly but her hair got stuck in one of the branches above her.
"Ouchhhhh!" She was laughing while I helped her take it off.
"I knew it wasn't working." I told as she ran her hands along her clothes, dusting it to take off the mud. As soon as I said that, her eyes locked with mine, amusingly.
She laughed saying, "Why didn't you tell me? I almost forgot you guys had the super hearing thing. Dammit!" She said, laughing all the time. I laughed along with her and she continued, "How does it work anyway?" She said as she looked back at the waterfall.
"Don't know. Maybe there's some connection inside. We'll ask Indigo later." I told her. We went inside while Violet was still dusting her clothes. "Shit, I should have taken a picture of you." I said closing the door. Violet rolled her eyes with a small smile.
We went in and into the room opposite Indigo's. Violet flicked the light on and a study room came into our view. There were plenty of books placed on a rack on one wall. Near the window was a table and a chair on which a plant, a frame and some books along with a pen holder were placed. There were two wooden cupboards which I guess had files or something.
It was Indigo's home office, I guessed, but I hadn't seen him use this room since I was here.
The room even smelled of Indigo. So he must be using it.
Violet went straight to his desk and picked up the small frame kept on it. She looked at it and back at me, making me move close to her.
She already had tears in her eyes as I could feel her emotions through the bond. "I'm sure they will be very proud of you two, Violet." I told her, hugging her from one side and looking down at the photo in her hands. It was a picture of the four of them. Indigo looked around seven or eight and Violet looked like a two year old baby.
She placed the photo back on the desk and wiped her tears. She smiled at me and said, "I'm fine. Let's go."
We checked the other room but it was again locked. There was another small room which led to the backdoor. The room mostly had tools and equipment of all sort. We went up and into the two rooms that faced Violet's room.
One was her parents' room. "It looks like the same room from the dream. Nothing has changed." Violet said, looking at me.
"I guess, Indigo wanted it to be the way it was." I told her, leaning against the cupboard.
"Yeah." She moved and stood near me and said, "This was where I was standing in the dream and Indigo came in running into the room. Mom and dad were on the bed holding me." She was smiling at the whole thing.
"And then when he took me, I started smiling and all. And then dad walked and took a camera from the cupboard you are standing against." She told me, motioning to the cupboard. "Then he took their picture and turned to me, literally, like-like he could see me and then he talked to me." She said with big eyes, waving her hands and looking me straight in the eyes.
"You are something else, Violet." I told her, smiling and shaking my head.
She covered shyly and went to look outside the window.
Luna Avaluna and Alpha Luciano, if you are, in any way listening to me, please help us help her. I'm very happy and blessed to be the Luna of your pack. Keep your blessings showered upon us and help us protect ourselves from the ones that are trying to end us. I promise to be a good Luna and a good mate to your son. Just please help us.
The both of us went into the other room which looked like a guest room. The floor had another small door at one corner which had a few flights of stairs. We climbed in and reached a small room that was almost empty. The circular glass window was the only thing that kept the room bright.
We came down and had food without Indigo as he told he'll be a bit late. We cleaned everything and I left later for the sessions. Usually I took the sessions in the morning but today as we had to meet the pack I scheduled it in the evening.
Violet was off to take her regular nap.
I was on my way to the pack when Indigo linked me, "Blue, I found something."
