So I made this species in early 2021 when I still used MS Paint. I decided to redraw it and change some features.

I've decided to make their legs sharper.

Insectobrates are cold-blooded creatures that live in colonies. In the past, they hunted down animals but now have tried to hunt humans.

They can shapeshift into humans as a way to trick and lure them to the colony's nest. However, Insectobrates cannot shapeshift into animals.

Each colony is either ruled by a king or queen but never both. All eggs are gathered in one place and hatch together.

There is a rare albino variant that appears white and light blue and is warm-blooded. These individuals are usually banished from the nest.

Insectobrates are intelligent but they tend to act first instead of thinking. They also have violent tendancies and fights between individuals in the same colony are common.

Insectobrates can climb easily and have night vision, allowing them to live in dark caves. However, their size prevents them from reaching small areas.
