Sydney was in a foul mood the next morning. Having been awoken early on her only day off by Andrew's pilot, stating he hadn't shown for his flight, all her manners flew out the window. Antony didn't stand in her way when she stormed through the house carrying a sports horn in one hand. Slamming the master bedroom door open to see Andrew fast asleep face down in his pillow snoring softly she let hell loose by blowing the horn.
"FUCK!" Andrew cried out falling off his bed. His bed sheets were still clung around his hips keeping a sense of modesty. Cradling his head he reached up for his pillow to hide under as the pounding of his hangover worsened. Handing the horn to Antony who left the two smirking Sydney stood with her hands on her hips.
"You are supposed to be in the air right now!" Sydney roared as he waved his hand in her direction keeping his eyes closed and not looking in her direction.
"Not so loud." He begged knowing full well that he was in the wrong. She had warned him the day before about his early flight and the importance of his meeting in Washington.
"Your flight was scheduled to leave an hour and a half ago." Sydney growled as a she turned to see Antony coming back with a glass of water and an Advil tablet on a small tray. Sending him a silent thank you she took them from him and started making his way towards Andrew, still lying on the floor.
"That's funny, I thought with it being my plane and all, that it would just wait for me to get there." He muttered as she knelt beside him and gently removed the pillow from his head. Looking up at her drowsily she held out the cup for him. Slipping the pill into his mouth followed by a gulp of water he sat up properly rubbing his eyes. Sydney struggled to keep a professional eye, only staring at his face and not his nude torso, which was well defined by muscles.
"I need to speak to you about a couple things before I get you out of the door." Sydney groaned as she lifted him from off the floor. She had never been so thankful to see a pair of Calvin Klein boxers appear once the sheet fell away from his hips as she helped dragged him in the direction of the bathroom.
"What are you trying to get rid of me for? What, you got plans?" He frowned, as he looked her up and down with a slight frown. He rarely saw Sydney outside of working and formal attire. She was dressed in faded jeans, sandals and a purple blouse, her hair was tied in a high ponytail falling down her shoulders and framing her face slightly.
"As a matter of fact, I do." Sydney informed before shutting the door behind him as she went to his wardrobe and started pulling out his clothing. Satisfied at the sound of water running in the shower she grabbed a fresh pair of underwear before opening the bathroom door just wide enough to dump them on the floor.
"I don't like it when you have plans." Andrew finally grumbled as he immersed from the bathroom with his towel around his neck drying his hair. Throwing him a pair of suit pants he easily slipped them on whilst sliding the belt she held out for him around his waist.
"I'm allowed to have plans on my birthday." Sydney muttered as he slipped his arms into a black shirt and began to do up the buttons.
"It's' your birthday?" Shocked at the news, he hadn't noticed he had misaligned his buttons until Sydney rolled her eyes and undid them before fixing up his shirt.
"Yes." She grumbled back whilst grabbing the tie from off the bed whilst he stood there like a mannequin as she fixed him up.
"I knew that. Already?" He stupidly questioned.
"Yeah. Isn't that strange? It's the same day as last year." Rolling her eyes she pushed the tie up tightening the tie around his neck tighter than necessary causing him to wince.
"Get yourself something nice from me." He coughed as he adjusted his the noose around his neck.
"I already did. It's wonderful. Thank you, Mr Hamilton." Sydney truthfully thanked causing him to smile as she handed him his jacket and began to shove him out of the bedroom and downstairs. Part of him wondered what it was she had bought for herself, as her present from him yet he guessed it was jewellery or an item of clothing.
"You're welcome, Winters"
Escorting him to the airport where the awaiting plane sat on the tarmac, Sydney wasn't taking any chances of Andrew missing this flight. He had been known to vanish when he was supposed to be heading to an important meeting and Sydney was going to ensure that he got on that plane. He sat uneasy for a brief moment as the car came to a stop before he pulled out a black envelope from his briefcase and held it out towards her.
"File this when you get back to the office on Monday" He ordered as Sydney stared at the envelope with narrowed eyes. It was extremely rare that Andrew did some transaction or business operation without her knowledge. Yet here he was with a package containing something that had her in the dark. It was a feeling she didn't like as he sighed at her hesitation.
"Sydney. Please!" He whined again snapping her from her thoughts. Straightening her back she nodded and took the envelope from his fingers and rested it against her lap. It held some weight to it and was chunky in her hands, causing her to wonder how large the document was.
"Have a safe flight Mr. Hamilton." She farewelled watching, as he existed the car and made his way towards the plane. She remained watching, hidden from sight until he boarded the plane, before Doc pulled away and dropped her off back at her home where she could enjoy some peace to herself.
