twenty two: beat

beat (that ass)

I couldn't figure out if I was angry as hell, upset, sad, or all of those emotions at once.

Why can't anyone just listen to me? Why does Zayn insist on listening to the explanation of other people who aren't me? Was I really that untrustworthy that his source for info had to be from other people?

Shaking my head, I exited his dorm to head for the basketball courts to beat Louis' and Justice's ass, but turns out I didn't have to go that far. Louis was walking by the dorms, and what better way than to run up on his ass?

I sprinted toward him, all the anger rushing into my veins and when he turned around, I clocked him in the jaw as hard as I could.

"Fuck!" He yelled, as blood sprayed from his mouth. "What—"

I shoved him to the ground and landed blow after blow on him. "How dare you try this shit again on me!"

"Get the fuck off me!" Louis yelled, trying to get me off, but I was not budging until his ass was knocked the fuck out.

"Cash!" I was yanked up from the ground and two arms wrapped around me. I swung around and saw Liam holding me back, astonishment in his eyes. "What the fuck is going on?!"

"I'll tell you what's going on!" I blew up, finally frustrated from all the events of today. "Eight months ago, this fuck ass nigga here and Justice, made a plan to get back at my brother for not coming to this school. Long story fucking short, he and Justice filmed a video of me blowing them and I thought it was gone until someone showed the video around the football team and his morning!"

I finished screaming, my throat dry and hoarse. I was so, so tired of all these fucking games and plans and foolishness everyone in this campus had going on.

I was done.

Hearing Louis spit beside himself, I turned towards him. "You're beating up the wrong guy, love. I swear on my mum I deleted all of the footage. You should be looking at Justice, that bobblehead blonde bitch, and the quarterback."

"Huh?" I asked, confused by his words.

He spit again, and I cringed at how close it was to my shoes. "At a party I went to a couple weeks ago, I saw Justice talking to the quarterback Morales about the video, and then text him a copy. I could be wrong because fifteen minutes prior, Harry punched me in the face and I blacked out."

I laughed. I fucking laughed. Of course.

Jasmine didn't associate with anyone on the basketball team, so how would she have even know about the video without a straight source from the team? And who better than to hand her the video, than the quarterback who was good with everyone on campus?

"What the fuck?" Liam said, obviously disgusted at his words. "You're a fucking liar."

Louis shrugged, and shook his head. "I've been trying to do better lately, and stay out of trouble. I have no reason to lie to you."

Liam's fists clenched, before turning around and stalking off. I went to follow him, but Louis called my name.

"Cash, do me a favor and sue the shit out of this school," he said, getting up and brushing his jeans off and picking up his gym bag. "I've been doing some reading, and that shit is illegal."

I raised my eyebrow. "You want me to sue the school? What's your motive?"

He shook his head. "There's so much shit that needs to be uncovered here. You're not the only person that something like this happened to that my dad tried to cover up."

He handed my bag that was on the floor, and I tentatively took it, while eyeing him.

"I'm sorry" were his parting words before backing away and heading on his own way.

I barely had time to process anything before I ran in the direction Liam stalked off in. He wasn't far, so I caught up easily with some jogging.

"Where are you going?" I asked, and he stayed silent as he walked.

We ended up at his football practice, where he entered the locker room. He held the door for me, which indicated he wanted me to come with, which was weird.

After passing a couple rows of lockers, we ended up at Diego's, who was currently standing in front of it, laughing with some of his teammates.

Liam strode up to him and tapped him on the shoulder. Diego turned to him and noticed me at the same time.

"What's good?" He asked, his eyebrow raised. "You alright, Cash?"

"Oh, don't worry about her. She's good, except for this." Liam dropped his bag and in one fluid motion punched him in the side of his face.

I gasped, my eyes wide. "Shit, Liam!"

Diego shoved him against the metal lockers, trying to get him off but Liam kept hitting him. Their yelling attracted the attention of the locker room, and soon there were seven other guys getting in between them, trying to separate them.

"What the hell is going on in here?" A voice bellowed, and Coach Gallagher came from around the corner, his face redder than a beet.

"This prick started hitting me for no damn reason!" Diego said, wiping blood from his nose, which started pouring out.

"Except for the fact that you're the one who copped that video off Justice and spread it around the locker room," Liam seethed. I've never seen him this angry, because his face was so red and his eyes were so narrowed.

Diego looked at me, and I looked back before shaking my head.

"How the hell—"

"Did I find out?" I finished, my eyebrow raised. "Louis of all people told me. But I wouldn't have believed him until now."

"Get this melodramatic bullshit out my locker room," Coach said, rolling his eyes. "We play football, not fight over who fucked whose slut."

"If you don't shut your sexist, racist ass up one time," Liam said, his eyes now moving to his coach, "I will personally put you in an early grave."

"Whoa, bro chill," one of his teammates, Isaac, tried to calm him down.

"Is that a threat?" Coach said, his eyebrows raised. "Because that holds weight for a three game suspension."

"Liam, stop," I said lowly. I didn't want him not playing anymore because of me.

"No, that's a promise," he spat harshly, completely ignoring me. "So you might as well suspend me indefinitely."

"All this and I ain't even fuck," Diego said with a laugh, before shaking his head.

"You never would've," I said, my face screwed up. How could he switch up so fast in a matter of months? Where was the person who defended me against Jasmine in the courtyard just a few months prior?

He was gone, and the fuckboy in front of my right now replaced him.

"If Zayn kept fucking up and Louis kept his mouth shut, it would've been a mater of time," he said, shrugging his shoulders. "But hey, I got that video to beat my meat to whoever I want."

I gnashed my teeth together, not to pop off on this boy. What good was it going to do? I honestly just needed to get off this campus.

"Fuck you, you leftovers wanting ass," I said, rolling my eyes. "I wish you ate me out so you could tell me how good Zayn's cum tastes."

"Yo, she just cut your ass bro," Isaac said, as I turned to leave. I was done with this entire place, and I needed to go.

"Cash, Cash!" Liam wrapped his hand around my shoulder, probably for comfort.

"Yes?" I asked him. I was still so shaken from the event that all happened in a span of thirty minutes that I had to walk to a nearby trash can and throw up once again.

"Jesus Christ, I would swear you're pregnant or something with the way you're throwing up," Liam said, cringing ash he handed my his water bottle.

"Fat chance," I said, rolling my eyes. "I got off my period three days ago."

We walked to the admissions office, and his eyebrows furrowed. "What are we doing here?"

"I have to leave this campus," I said, shaking my head. "I should've left here the first time this happened, but my mom urged me to stay."

I went in for about an hour, and I spoke with an admission officer about switching my transcript to Fordham, which is where one of my aunts works in admissions as well. The officer said it would be a relatively easy transition, and I could start over there after winter break.

When I finished, Liam was still sitting outside to my surprise, texting on his phone and sitting in an awkward position.

"I thought you'd have better things to do," I asked. "Why are you still here?"

"I had practice, but I need a day or two before I go back in there," he said, shrugging. "Plus I'm bored and going back to my room is not an option unless I want to throw up like you with Z and that bitch sucking up all the air."

I chuckled, before smiling slightly. "Guess who's transferring to Fordham after break?"

His face faltered before wrapping his arms around me in a hug. It was the first time he's done something like that, and it made me feel like I actually still had someone left that actually cared.

"Now come on," he said, throwing his arm around my shoulder. "If this is going to be one of your last days here, we might as well grab lunch from the d-hall that actually serves good food."

the end.

jk not seriously.
