chapter four
Screams rang loudly in the thick air of a robotics lab. Alarms were going off, the red beaming lights turning the white walls a shade of light pink. The sounding alarms were barely even heard over the screams of fear and the clattering of objects. People, either soldier or scientist, were falling to the ground, not being able to overpower the three enhanced and the high tech robot that challenged them.
Over the past couple of days, Bianca had seen a lot of places like this one. Some of labs and facilities would surrender instantly, knowing that they couldn't stop the threat. But the others were cocky, thinking that they could be one to stop the monsters. Bianca liked the cocky ones, because it gave her an excuse to use her powers.
Two blue orbs appeared in Bianca's hand, and she quickly fired them at one of the soldiers. The impact from the orbs knocked the man back against the wall, and he quickly fell into unconsciousness. Gun shots were firing around the room, and the sound made Bianca immediately duck behind a fallen table, not wanting to get injured by the weapon. Bianca breathed heavily, trying to get the air in and out of her burning lungs. Adrenaline was coursing through her veins, her mind wrapped only around the attack around her and how good it felt to use her powers of ice. Suddenly, she heard a light snap, and Bianca quickly glanced around the corner to see that Wanda had crushed the gun, her eyes red with anger. The crumbled weapon clattered to the ground, and the girl didn't take any time to use her magic to get inside the soldiers head, stopping him from attacking.
Bianca jumped from her hiding spot once she saw the man crumbled to the ground, his mind swallowing up. Her eyes turned a lighter shade of blue as her power surged though her limbs. A orb of powerful ice appeared at her palm, and she quickly fired at one of solider who was about to grab his fallen gun. Blue orbs flew around the room, hitting any solider or any scientist that tried to attack them. Her hands were quick and graceful, using her newfound power with ease. Even though Bianca's eyes were dark, a smirk was closely crossing her face. These people were fighting against them, so they needed to be put in check. And Ultron needed some equipment for the army he was building in the abandon Sokovian hideout. These two things were important to Bianca, of course, but the smirk on her face was from the thrill of power and adrenaline coursing through her veins. She liked feeling powerful, she liked that she wasn't a lab rat anymore and that she can finally do things her way.
Suddenly, something zipped across the room and the last couple of guard fall to the ground roughly. I blinked twice, and my eyes landed on Pietro, who was wearing a smug expression. The teenage boy had been off racing through the building, making sure that no reinforcements got anywhere near the lab. Bianca had wanted to go with the boy, but sadly, she wasn't gifted with the power of super speed.
Bianca rolled her pale blue eyes at the boy, and crossed her arms over her chest, annoyance filling her stance. "I had them you know. If you had only given me a couple seconds I--"
"I work faster Bee," Pietro teased, his accent thick and raw, "Seconds are minutes for me. Do you know how much I could do in the time that you would have stop those four soldiers? I could literally run to London and back."
"Oh shut up," Bianca snapped, "Don't be such a show off."
Pietro grinned, "I was barely showing off."
"What else can you do?" Bianca asked, "You can run quickly, but that's about it."
Wanda laughed lightly at Bianca's comment, and Pietro's cocky grin faded. He shook his head at her, and to increase the annoyance the boy was feeling, Bianca mimicked his cocky grin and flashed it at him. Her white teeth shimmering in the fluorescent light. The conversation was going to continue with the normal bickering that bounces between the three of them, but their lightheartedness fell silent when Ultron walked into the room. His arms were filled with metal, wires, and others pieces of tech that Bianca had never seen before. The fourteen-year-old folded her hands politely in front of her, and turned to give her full attention to the robot. The twins did the same, her faces hardened with seriousness.
"Good job today," Ultron said, his voice sent shivers down Bianca's spine, "I told you that we would make a good team."
"Did you get what you came for?" Wanda asked.
Ultron glanced down at the supplies he was carrying, and said, "Yes. Yes, I did."
Together, the three enhanced and the large highly advanced robot, walked towards the door. The lab was left in destruction, and most of the people laying on the ground were unconscious. But the group of peacekeepers had gotten what they wanted, and now they were a step closer to achieving what they really wanted. And that was the end of the Avengers. Bianca didn't like waiting, but knowing that that was the end goal, she would wait for years to smell their scent of blood.

"We need to start moving in on the vibranium," Ultron said, his hands were behind his back as he paced around the room. The three enhanced and the robot were sitting in what used to be a HYDRA meeting quarters. There was a long table with many chairs, and there had been a time not too long when each of these seats were filled with evil people who are now either dead or in jail. Ultron mostly kept to himself about the planning, and only told us when we needed to take action. But today, just as the sun was leaving the sky, the robot was ready to include Bianca and the twin in the plan.
"Where is the vibranium?" Wanda asked, her eyes wide with curiousity. The brunette was sitting on the left side of the long with hand rested against her palms. The female Maximoff looked tried, and I knew that it was from sleepless nights. Bianca had the same issue, the dark always haunted her with memories of the past and the fears of the future. It was too hard to find sleep when the world was moving too quickly around you.
Ultron stopped pacing and turned to look at the three enhanced. Bianca, not liking the glare from the robot's beaming red eyes, she sneaked a glance at Wanda and Pietro. They were both watching Ultron closely, their ears perked. Bianca turned back to the metal man, and perked her own ears, desperately wanting to know what the plan was. Ultron seemed to know what he was doing, and every step forward did bring the fourteen-year-old a sense of victory, but she wanted to know how everything they were doing was going to lead to the end of the Avengers. Bianca couldn't get that goal out of her head. She needed to know, she needed the security that knowing the plan would give her. She didn't want to get her hopes up about something that would occur. She wasn't going to go through that heartbreak again.
The robot slowly took a seat at the front of the table, opposite of where Pietro was sitting. He leaned his metal arm on the wooden table, and the robot cautiously brushed his fingers over the lines in his metal face. A metal-like sigh escaped from Ultron mouth, and his beaming red eyes washed over us. "Vibranium is a very rare metal, and the material was only found in a place called Wakanda. A man stole all the vibranium from Wakanda, and his man is still live. I am trying to find this man so we can bargain for the vibranium--"
"What are you gonna use the vibranium for?" Bianca asked, her words slipping through her thin lips.
Ultron turned to look at her and said, "The vibranium will be used to create a better verison of me."
"Well, where is his man and his special metal?" Pietro asked.
"That's the thing," Ultron said, "I don't know where this man, Ulysses Klaue, is and what he has done with the vibranium. But I know someone who does, and he was very close to the three of you." The robot's stinging eyes suddenly landed on me, "But especially you."
Bianca sucked in a deep breath of air, and she could taste the age on my tongue. She knew instantly who the robot was talking about, and the thought of him made her want to punch something. Strucker, the man who had raised her inside of a cell, was the man that Ultron was talking about. It would make sense that the former HYDRA running scientist would know the criminal that stole the historic metal. The blonde-haired girl gulped down the burning rage in her throat and straightened her position.
"Stucker," Bianca said, her expression stoned and her voice salty, "It would make sense."
"Apparently, they had some past weapon dealing," Ultron said.
The robot was about to continue, but the Maximoff boy interrupted, "But isn't Strucker in jail?"
"Yes, he is," Ultron told the eighteen-year-old, "I plan to break in, alone, and get the information out of Stucker. He's a coward, and with the threat of death he would give up anything. This next step is very important, and will lead to you getting what you want. Vengeance."
"Why can't we come?" I asked, my voice tight.
"This is business that I need to attend to alone."
A surge of anger rolled through the fourteen-year-old flaming body. Ever since she was a young girl, she had wanted the leader of the HYDRA base to suffer. He had hurt her, he had hurt her in a way that no one else had. He was the one that she always trusted, and respected. But he was also always the one that suggested that she continued to be a lab experiment. HYDRA was looking for something powerful in everything, so they used me to try and find it. She wanted Strucker to rot in hell, and she wanted to see him suffer. Knowing that Ultron was going to Stucker to torture him for information without her and the twins made her stomach flip over twice.
"I want to come," Bianca said, the words slipping out before I could stop them. Pietro and Wanda glared at the fourteen-year-old with wide eyes, and Bianca could tell that they didn't like her standing up to the robot. She didn't understand their fear for Ultron, it seemed stupid to fear him. Ultron titled his head, and his beaming eyes dug into her pale skin. Silence filled the room of the old castle, and Bianca continued to stand her ground. She was going to get what she wanted, she knew she was.
When Ultron spoke again, he asked a question that Bianca didn't expect.
"Why?"
His mechanical voice rang in her ear for a moment. Bianca knew why she wanted to join Ultron when he tortured Stucker, but it was weird and unusual to be asked questions about the mess of thoughts in her head. Bianca squeezed her lips together, making a slight duck-face. The tightness of her full lips broke when she released a breath of sharp air. In that moment, a surge of power moved through her. A small orb of ice appeared at the end of her middle finger, and she felt her eyes beam with a bright shade of blue.
Bianca grinned and said, "I want to see him suffer. He did me wrong, and I want to see him suffer."
"Bianca--" Wanda interrupted, her accented voice thick with concern.
Ultron put a metal hand, and the brunette quickly fell silent. He nodded to me, telling me to continue. "Strucker has done me wrong, and you guys wrong for years. He deserves to suffer, and I want to see the helplessness in his eyes, the struggle. I want to see it. So, I am coming with you, even if you tell me no. I need to see the first step taken."
The robot was silent for a moment, then Ultron's metal face moved into what looked like a smile. "I respect you, Bianca. I respect the anger that mixes with your blood. I respect you enough that I will allow you to join me on my visit to Strucker."
"Thanks for your permission," Bianca said, glaring at the robot, "But it doesn't matter to me."
Bianca rose from her seat, and stormed from the room. Ice creeping across the stone floor underneath her feet.
~~~
Gunshots were being fired as soon as Ultron and Bianca walked into the NATO facility.
Bianca's normal blue eyes were beaming a shade of light blue as power zipped through her body. Orbs of ice powers appeared at both of her palms, prepared to be thrown when needed, which was often in the invasion. Bullets flew through the thick air, tables were thrown, ceilings boards were crumbled, and beams of blue and yellow lights brought disaster to the facility.
Using her telekinesis, Bianca slammed a man roughly to the tile floor. She heard bones crack in his arm when he landed, the man groaned out in pain. But the sound of the injured man quickly disappeared when a series of gunshots were fired, and Bianca knew that they were heading towards her. Spinning on her heel, she used her powers to block all the tiny bullets before they found their way into her pale skin.
Bianca pushed them backward, and the deathly bullets instantly listened to my thoughts. Not able to react to the twist in events, the soldiers who had fired their guns at her got a taste of karma. The smell of blood was thickening in the suffocating air of the facility. Ultron was going through more soldiers than Bianca was, and he was leaving them closer to death then she was.
Together, the robot and the enhanced marched their way through the place, stopping anyone who tried to overpower them. Alarms were sounding like they did in any place, and the sound was drilling into Bianca's skull. Annoyance streaming through her, the fourteen-year-old squeezed her hand together, smashing the alarm with nothing more than her thoughts.
Ultron beamed down the door that led to the prisons. The air had finally fallen silent, telling Bianca that they had won. The silence brought the flaring fourteen-year-old a sense of peace. Her tense muscles started relaxing, and her head stopped spinning. But her eyes continued to shine a lighter shade of blue, and ice was still lingering from her fingertips.
The robot walked into the room first, using his wiring to find his way through the facility. Bianca stayed close behind him, her arms lifted and ready to attack. The fourteen-year-old jumped at any small sound, and with each act of reflex, the tension built back up in her body. Heaviness weighed on her chest as they walked through past the cells. The cells were a lot larger than the ones at HYDRA's base. The cells were on both sides of the room, and the rusted ran side by side throughout the large room. Bianca gulped down all the terrible memories of years inside a small, rusted cell.
"Hey!" A voice yelled, "Stop there!"
Bianca jumped as a scream filled the air. The sharp sound of death chilling her bones. A thump echoed across the silent room, just as Ultron relaxed his weapon of a hand. Bianca tried to ignore the light shaking of her body as she and Ultron continued forward. They only walked for a couple more moments before the large metal person came to a sudden stop. Bianca had to plant her feet into the metal floor to stop herself from slamming head first into Ultron's metal skin.
Using his powerful beams, Ultron easily broke the lock on the rusted cell and pushed the door opened roughly. Together, the two walked into the small cell, and Bianca instantly heard the scrabbling of a moving object. Her blue eyes instantly fell on Strucker, and everything inside the fourteen-year-old girl hardened with anger.
Strucker was sitting on his small prison bed, his back pressed against the stone wall. His chest was rising and falling heavily, and every part of his body was tense, expectly his face. His blue eyes were shining with fear, terror, and any emotions that would make your heart race. Bianca's eyes sharpened at the sight of his panic, and a limp of emotions started to grow in her throat.
Strucker, who was looking slightly thinner, spoke first, putting on that nervous cocky smile that Bianca remembered so well. "Well, hello--"
Bianca instantly froze the man's arms to the stone wall. Strucker's eyes widened with panic, and he glanced at the ice that covered his hands, freezing them against the rusted stone. A surge of power moved through her quickly, and without thinking, she continued to freeze random parts of Strucker's body. Ultron didn't put up a hand to stop her until everything but Strucker's head and abdomen were visible. The former HYDRA agent was eyeing Bianca, and he started to shake from the overbearing cold.
"Strucker," Ultron said, stepping towards the freezing man, "I've read a lot about you. Worker of HYDRA. Worker of SHIELD. Many deals. Many lies. Many events of vengeance. Many, many things Mr. Strucker."
"T-tha-ank-k y-you," Strucker muttered, his voice shivering like the rest of his body.
Ultron continued like the man hadn't even spoken, "Even though you are famous to some, there is only one thing I want from you." Moving quickly, Ultron wrapped his metal hand around the freezing man's neck. Strucker gasped then started gagging. Bianca smiled evilly as she watched Strucker's breathing become more of a struggle. "Where is Ulysses Klaue?"
"I-I d-don't-t k-know..." Strucker muttered, struggling to speak, "a-a K-klaue."
Bianca snorted, the sound was sharp and filled with anger. "That's bullshit. We know that you used to deal with Ulysses, so just tell us where he is and we can leave you here to rot in this cell."
Strucker stayed silent, his eyes traveling over his lab rat and the high-tech robot. Bianca watched close as Ultron started tightening his grip on the man's neck. Strucker gagged, and a small line of spit started to drip from his lips. The process continued slowly, and the enhanced fourteen-year-old watched with many emotions as Strucker's airway slowly got smaller.
"Y-you won't-t kill-l me," Strucker breathed.
"Oh, yes I will," Ultron said, "You're not the only man who knows where Klaue is."
Strucker's blue eyes widened, and Bianca grinned, knowing that the former HYDRA agent was starting to crack. "H-He w-was at S-Salva-age Y-Yard."
Once the answer was heard, Ultron released Strucker's throat. The man gasped intensely, and bruises were already starting to appear across his throat. Bianca smiled, happy and satisfied with the interaction. They had come for what they wanted, and she was about to see Strucker suffer. Now, the first steps were complete, and they could start their planning for their attack on the Avengers. Bianca liked the feeling of satisfaction.
But her blood ran cold when Ultron turned to her and said, "Kill him."
Bianca's eyes widened and she instantly asked, "What? Why? We came for what we wanted, why do we have to kill him? Why do I have to kill him?"
The feeling of nausea made Bianca dizzy. She hated Strucker, she wanted the man to suffer. She wanted Strucker to feel the same pain that she felt for all those years that she was his lab rat. Bianca had thought about killing him before, and she had enjoyed the daydreams. But now that the task was placed before her, Bianca hesitated. After everything he's done, she still hesitated to use her powers to choke him for air. She hated that he hesitated, but something inside her was telling her that she shouldn't take the bad man's life.
"I thought you wanted vengeance, Bianca," Ultron said, his voice echoing off of the stone walls, "His man did you wrong, and ask why he has to die. That's pathetic, and I might kill you too if you ask that question again."
At that moment, Ultron turned and beamed a bolt of energy through Strucker's heart.
