Extras: Laundry

Morgan's POV

As I brush my teeth I hear banging on my door followed by, "Moe! C'mon kid! We need to be downstairs in five minutes!"

"Cwomiiiingfff!" I yell back as I pull my hair into a ponytail so I can spit without the toothpaste getting all in it. I finally get it up so I finish up and wipe my face off before running to the door. I quickly open it and smile, "Goodmorning Aunt Tobs." I kiss her cheek real quick and she playfully rolls her eyes.

"Goodmorning niece of mine." She looks me up and down. She looks back at my face with her eyebrow raised, "Where's your key?" My eyes get big and I quickly go to look for it. I move a pile of clothes off my desk but It's not there. I pick up my shorts from yesterday but don't see it there either. I go to my soccer bag and open it up. I throw my cleats across the room. Then my shorts. Then a sock. I take out my used prewrap from yesterday and leave it on the floor. I feel around through all the water bottles and band-aid wrappers to see if I can feel my key but it's not there! I groan frustratedly! It has to be in here! I grab my backpack from the bottom and dump the remaining contents on the ground. I look through the trash one more time before except it's not in there.

I turn and look at my door defeated and admit sheepishly, "I can't find it." Tobin sighs and runs her hand through her hair before checking her phone.

"We're going to be late." she thinks for a moment before looking down and shaking her head a little bit, "We'll get another one when we finish our interview. It's okay kiddo, just c'mon." She holds her hand out for me so I get off the floor and go to her. I take her hand and we go down to the room that has been set up for our Century 21 interview. When we get down to the door she looks over at me smiling before opening it, "Be good so I don't have to beat you up." I roll my eyes playfully while she kisses my forehead. She pushes the door open and we start the interview process.

-after above interview-

I nervously stand behind Tobin as she talks to the producers once we finish. I'm in trouble and I know it. I mean I don't think my room is that messy but she obviously does. She didn't seem upset this morning when she came and got me. Maybe she just said that to be funny and I'm just over thinking all of this? She's normally pretty chill about little things like that but I don't know. She wouldn't have mentioned it if she wasn't upset right?

I fell someone grabs my hand and pull me out of my thoughts, "Thanks for having us! Have a great day! God bless!" Tobin puts her arm around my shoulder and leads us out to the hallway again. She lays her head on top of mine, "Let's go get you a new room key so you can clean that mess up since we're off today."

I frown because I wanted to go with Mal, Allie, and Lindsey to the aquarium today, but I have to stay now. "Okay, Aunt Tobs," I say disappointed. "Am I  uh," I pause not really wanting to ask this, "getting a- in trouble?"

I feel her smile a little, "Are you getting a spanking?" She reaches down and pats my bottom teasingly, "Hmm, I don't know yet. Do you need one to clean your room? Cheney gave me the spanking spoon just in case I had to use it..."

My eyes widen and I pull away so I can look at her, "Please don't use it! I'll clean it I promise!" She laughs at me making me blush. I push her softly, "Auuuunt Tooooobin! Th-That's not something to joke about!" She rolls her eyes at me and walks us to the front desk. She gets me a new key before we go back upstairs so I can start cleaning up. I open my door when we get to my room and put my phone down on the desk and fall back on my bed.

"Uh uh, MoMo." She pulls me up. "I want all this trash cleaned up and your clothes sorted in an hour so we can go wash your clothes." I pout at her. This is our only day off for two weeks and I don't get to have any fun.

"Can't I just clean my room later?" I ask poking out my bottom lip and looking as sad as possible, "I want to go out with my friends today since we're going to be working so much."

Tobin crosses her arms and raises her eyebrows at me, "What are you supposed to do when I tell you to something?"

"Do it without complaining." I sigh defeated. She nods and takes my Bible off of my bedside table and holds it out to me. I take it from her confused.

"Look up Ephesians 6:1 and read it to me please," she says while taking my desk chair and turning it around so she can sit in it. I know this one without having to even open up the book in my hand but because of what it says I do what she said to.

I get to the page and keep my head down embarrassed, "'Children obey your parents for this right.'"

Tobin hums approvingly before saying, "I know I'm not your mom or your momma, but right now would you agree I'm filling in since your real mom and Cheney aren't here?" I nod my head looking down. "The book of Ephesians is Paul writing a letter to the church there right?" I look up at her. "We're not specifically from the church of Ephesus but what really is the church?"

"The body of believers," I tell her feeling guilty. "All of us."

She nods, "So obeying our parents is what we're all supposed to do because it's right. Who says it's right?"

"God," I tell her looking down sadly. Momma and I have had this talk before but it feels different coming from Tobin.

"That's right bud. Can you look up Philippians 2:14 too?" I nod and find the book before scanning for the right verse. I find it and read it to myself and blush even harder than before.

"'Do all things without grumbling or complaining.'"

She nods her head and talks with authority but kindness, "That time Paul was talking to the church of Philippi but it applies to us all because like you said earlier, the church is the whole body of believers." She moves so she's sitting beside me and puts her arm around my shoulder, "I want you to look up one more for me okay? I know you know this one by heart by heart but I want you to read it for me. Find Proverbs 13:24 and read it aloud."

I flip back to it, "'He who withholds the rod hates his son,  but he who loves him disciplines him diligently.'" She's right about me knowing this verse. Daddy tells it to me every time after I get in trouble. I close my Bible and look up at her, "The 'rod' doesn't necessarily mean an actual rod or something to spank with; it means any type of discipline that is given diligently or meaningfully."

She pulls me closer and kisses my head, "I'll have to tell your dad you've been listening." I smile into her shoulder and she moves me onto her lap. "Now that we know all of that do we want to try again? Our talk was meaningful discipline I believe but if you are still disobedient I will have to do something else so that it is meaningful to the offense. Do you understand baby?"

I nod, "Yes ma'am." I kiss her cheek and put my Bible on my bed. "I'll clean my room." She smiles and kisses my hair before letting me up. I bend down and start picking up all the water bottles first to put in the trash can.

"I'll help you so we can go do something fun when we finish up okay?" she says while getting up and gathering my clothes. "We can have a movie night and have take out. Your pick."

I grin as I throw the bottles into the small garbage can, "I'd love that. Thanks for helping me, Aunt Toby." She smirks and lightly spanks me when she walks past to get my laundry bag. I laugh and pick up all the trash while she gets all my clothes. When we finally get everything picked up and she gets al my clothes together we head down to the laundry room to wash them.

"Since you've waited so long," she holds up two laundry bags bursting with my dirty clothes, "it'll take forever if we do large loads. So what we're going to do is split these up into six small loads so the cycle will go faster and so they'll dry faster." She sets the bags down and takes three dollars out of her pocket and hands it to me. "You go take one of these bags and get them started and I'll take the other." I grab a bag and take the money and go to a few washers down so I can start filling each of them. We both do our bag and then sit down in the chairs facing the wall of washing machines we took up. I lay my head on her shoulder as we wait for the loads to finish up so we can put them in the dryer. While we wait we talk about everything.

"Wait you did what?" I ask laughing.

Tobin replies through her laughter, "The first time I really met Carli was when I kicked her in the stomach and then stepped on her fingers when I tried to help her off the ground." She shakes her head, "I was new and all nervous and I saw the ball was in the air and went for it! I didn't see her going for it too and then I got so scared that I was tripping over my own feet trying to help her." (A/N: This is made up) I go to ask another question but the buzzers all start going off one after another signaling the clothes are done washing so we both get up and move each load to six dryers on the opposite wall. We take our seats again and I let out a yawn. Tobin pulls me into her lap and cuddles me.

"How about you take a little nap? You've been working hard today." She kisses my head and hugs me.

"I wanna keep talking to you though." I yawn again. "We don't do this a lot." She smiles down at me and nods.

"Okay baby we'll talk," she pecks my head again. "What movie do you want to watch tonight?"

-A Few Hours Later-

"Auuuunt Tooobin!" I squeal and squirm away from her as she tickles me mercilessly. "Stoooop it! We need to do this!" She pouts at me playfully through the bathroom mirror but stops tickling me and picks up my comb and detangler from the counter.

"You know you're a little buzzkill like your momma," she says with a playful smirk on her face. She sprays my wet hair and starts to comb through it.

I roll my eyes, "Nah uh! You are!" I stick my tongue out at her before giggling. She rolls her eyes and finishes doing my hair before turning me around to look at her.

"If I was a buzzkill I wouldn't have let you have McDonald's for dinner and ice cream for dessert." I smile and kiss her cheek.

"I know Aunt Toby, I'm just playing. Thank you for combing my hair for me."

She smiles and leads me out of the bathroom and onto my bed, "My pleasure. Now let's find a movie to watch." She opens Netflix on her computer and holds me. "Whatever you'd like, Monkey." I grin and look through the movies before settling on Bridesmaids. I can almost feel Tobin roll her eyes behind making me giggle. Julie thinks her Aunt Ali is the best in the world but my Aunt Tobin stomps her.
