A/N: Okay so I'm giving you these bloopers before I actually post the real chapter... I hope you enjoy
Hope's POV
"Christen!" I open my arms and brace myself as she runs to me. I wrap her up tightly and kiss her soft brown hair over and over again. Mallory throws her arms around the two of us. The sharp corner of the poster board sign she holds presses against my back so I do my best to turn away but I can't because of the two girls' tight grips. I reach down to Chris's thighs and gently lift her up and onto my hip. She hides her face in my neck so I rest my head on top of hers.
" 'm tired," she mumbles snuggling deeper into me. I glance down at Mal and watch her playfully roll her eyes at the confession. After all, as Mallory would say, "It's only three A.M.." She happens to be the only one of the clan that decided to make the trip with me to pick up our run away.
"I know baby ." I coo softly while rocking her. "Mommy's got you. We'll be in bed in no time." I look over at Mal and see her now distracted by a ball of paper on the floor. She dances around in a little circle kicking it. I smile softly and bounce Christen up higher, "Mally c'mon love. Let's go get Chrissy's bag." I start walking slowly and she catches up and holds my hand.
"Can we get McDonald's on the way home?"
"No." mumbles Christen in response to the question. "Bedtime." I chuckle at Mallory's pout and kiss Chris's head.
"Don't worry baby girl," I whisper sweetly, "we're going to go nanight soon." I look down at Mal and swing our hands back and forth, "We'll have that for breakfast when you wake back up later." Mal continues to swing our hands and she looks around the large corridor wide-eyed. She has a little skip in her step which brings a small smile to my face. We get to baggage claim and I spot Chris's USA bag and let go of Mallory's hand. "Mally can you go grab that for Mommy?" She runs over and grabs it and then makes zoom sounds all the way back to me. I roll my eyes playfully and bounce Christen up higher while following my little airplane out to the parking garage. Mal flies to the car and bounces on her toes as she waits by the front door. I unlock the car with the fob while catching up. Mal opens the back door for me before she gets in the passenger seat. I lay Christen down and don't even bother with the seat belt knowing she'll probably take it off to get more comfortable. I shut Mal's door for her before walking around the back and getting in the driver's seat.
After a few minutes of driving, Mallory reaches up and turns down the already low radio then looks over at me nervously, "I'm hungry." I glance back at Christen through the rear view and frown at her squirming around trying to get comfortable. I put my blinker on even though the street is empty and pull into the turn lane.
I sigh, tired myself, "You need to go back to sleep when we get home." She frowns and holds her tummy. I hear it groan and whine and see her face twist in discomfort.
"Mommy..."
"I'll make you some cereal. Does that sound okay?"
She thinks about it for a moment before asking, "We have Fruit Loops?"
I smile and nod, "Yeah baby we have Fruit Loops. Papa bought some earlier just for you." Mal grins and sits back in her seat staring out the window contently until we get home. "Monkey go get Chris's bag for me and remember when we go inside we have to be quiet. Everybody is sleeping." Mallory nods and smiles cutely while giving me a thumbs up. We both climb out of our seats. After I softly shut my door, a loud slamming sound echoes around the neighborhood and the car shakes.
"Sorry!" squeaks my youngest from the other side. I sigh and walk around to her so I can get Chris.
"Go get your sister's bag please." Her face falls at my tone but goes to get it from the trunk.
"Moooommmm!" whines Christen when I pull her out by her leg. I roll my eyes playfully and pick her up. "Wanna sleep."
"I know baby. Shhh, we're about to go get in bed." I wait for Mal to close the trunk before making my way to the door. I put the keys in the lock and look down at my guilty looking nineteen year old, "Papa is on the couch so we have to be quiet okay? Remember you and Chrissy are sleeping with me tonight." She nods her head quietly making me sigh to myself. I shouldn't have scolded her for the door. I let us in and whisper, "Go get some Fruit Loops monkey. I'm going to put Chris to bed and then I'll be right there." She tiptoes around the sofa and runs to the kitchen. Once I see the light flick on I walk to my bedroom and lay my oldest on the bed. I gently remove her shoes and cover her up. I place my lips on her forehead, "Goodnight Christen Annemarie. I love you baby and I'm really glad you're home." I stand back up and turn the lamp off. "Sweet dreams. Mal and I will be in here in a little while." I get a tired hum in response so I roll my eyes playfully and quietly leave to check on Mallory.
Once in the hallway I hear a distressed, "Mommy!" whispered. I start walking towards the kitchen as fast as I can in the dark. "Mommy! Mommy, help!"
"Mal?" I ask quietly as I turn the corner and my eyes adjust to the bright light of the room. "Mal what's the matter, baby?"
"I can't reach the bowl!" she quietly wines while pointing up. I get it down for her and put it on the counter. I get the colored cereal and pour it into the bowl and then add milk.
"Here monster." I kiss her cheek while setting it down at a place at the bar.
