Rose smiled up at Thunder, trying to get the Tom to look at her. But he didn't. She knew it was  because of the two trainees  that she killed. She never ment to kill them, never it just...happened. She didn't even remember killing them.

She gets into her best hunting crouch, which was just a crouch. She heard him laugh. She looked over at him.
"Like this." She said getting in a low crouch. He looked like he was spread out, and as he creept forward it had no sound. She smiled and tried to copy him.

"You're doing better." He said, touching his nose to her ear. She purred softly at the movement.

For the rest of the morning they practiced. When it became Sunhigh Thunder and Rose went hunting. Rose was proud of the rabbit she caught, even though it was the only thing she got, it was huge! It was half her size, Thunder though it was pregnant. She was walking back to the den she shared with Thorn now, he had warmed up to her a little, understanding the death of his friends was an accident.
She loomed to her side, hearing a kit New frantically at it's mother. She noticed it was the kit from the day before. She walked over to the mother, you could see her ribs under her fur.
"Hello." She said to them.
The Mother looked up at her, her purple eyes seem to sudden filled with fear.
"What do you want, I have nothing to give you." She said, pulling her kit behind her.
"I don't want anything from you, I just....wanted to see if you want to share this with me. It's too big for me to eat by myself, and my den mate doesn't like rabbits."

The black she-cat toke a moment, looking at her brown Tom-kit, his black strips bold against his fur and his blue eyes shinning with hunger. "Yes, we would like that."
Rose pushed the rabbit towards the cat, laying down to look at the she-cat eat, the small Tom kit ate too. Rose softly touched the small kit with her tail.
"Don't eat too fast, you'll get sick." She told him, love suddenly filling her voice.

"Do you have kits of your own?" The black she-cat said looking at Rose.

"Ya, I had three of them, Fish, Glow, and Storm."

"How did you loses them?" She asked looking at her kit.

"Fish and Sage died in a battle, Storm lived, but,umm.... my mother told the city a lie and said I killed my own kits, she convinced my only living one I did too, then I was kicked out." Rose said her voice shaking as she talked about it.She felt a little paw on her stomach. She saw the small Tom kit was trying to climb up on her. She smiled. "What's his name?"

"His name is Night."
