MARIA POV (omg not Pegs pov.... FOR THE FIRST TIME IN FOREVER- sorry I'll stop and you can read now)

I watched John and Peggy pretend to be a couple and saw the one person I didn't want to see. You guessed it, James Reynolds.

"Maria, baby" he cooed walking over to me.

I stepped back. "Don't call me that, I broke up with you"

"The thing is, I know you only told Peggy... and I didn't tell anyone. No one will believe the forgotten Schuyler or you. So they will ask me, and if you ask me, you're mine. And if you refuse to be mine, you know what'll happen." James smirked.

"Never. It's two virus one, me and Peggy will win." I snapped.

He reached his hand up to hit me. I braced myself but it never came. I looked up to see Hercules holding James' arm.

"She said she broke up with you. Leave her alone asshole!" Herc spat at James. Why was he helping me?

"Don't tell me what to do! She's mine!" James yelled.

"She belongs to no one!" Herc yelled back.

"Lies! She belongs to me!" James had a smirk on his face. It was quickly wiped away when he was punched in the face. I gasped. James ran off and Herc turned to face me.

"Are you ok?"

"Y-yeah... thanks" before anything else was said Hercules wrapped me in a hug that I quickly returned.

PEGGY POV

Snapped out of John land and saw Maria and Herc hugging. I officially have a ship for everyone in my friend group! Well except me and John but I guess I kinda ship us. And I'm amazing and will make my ships happen too. I walked over to the two and noticed that Maria was crying in Herc's arms.

I ran over to the two. "Mari what's wrong?"

Maria continued to sod into Herc's chest. Herc mouthed 'James' to me. I nodded and put a hand on Maria's back. She calmed herself down and looked at me and Herc.

"Thanks guys" She weakly smiled.

"Maria do you want me to take you back to the dorms?" Herc asked.

"But you'll leave the party if-"

"Maria it's fine. If it makes you feel better, I'll stay in your dorm with you too" Herc smiled.

Maria just nodded. I thought of something brilliant to say.

"Herc, I would offer you my bed but we all know you wouldn't stay in it" I snickered.

Herc blushed and smacked my arm. "Peggy!"

"You never denied it" I shrugged.

Herc playfully rolled his eyes and him and Maria left. I walked back towards my friends and sisters and told them that Herc and Maria left. They all agreed that something is going to happen tonight.

"So can I-"

"No!" Everyone cut me off at the same time.

I pouted. "You guys are mean"

"Peggy you're too young to drink" Alex scolded me.

"Alex, you're barely older than me" I said crossing my arms.

"Hey I turn 21 in a few months and you know it"

"I always forget Alex is closer in age to Pegs and Maria than the rest of us" John laughed.

"No wonder he's so short" Laf teased.

"I'm taller than Peggy!" Alex yelled.

"Are not!" I yelled back.

"Am too!"

"Bet!" I walked over to Alex and slid off my heels. Alex took off his shoes so we were both flat on the ground. We stood back to back and Angie measured where our heads were.

"So?" I asked Angie.

"Alex is very slightly taller" Angie said. I groaned. "But only a little" Angie clarified.

"So I'm the youngest and the shortest!" I screamed throwing my hands up in defeat. "No fair"

Everyone laughed and went back to talking among themselves. I sighed and decided to go sit in the garden, my garden. The garden I made and took care of by myself. I sat on the swing and took out my sketchbook. I wasn't really thinking about what I was drawing. I sat alone in the peaceful, dark garden for a while. Until someone sat next to me.

"Is that me?" The voice asked. I knew the voice, John. I looked at the sketchbook to see what he was talking about. I saw a curly haired, freckled faced, tall, muscular boy. I blushed and hide the paper before he could look at it more.

"Umm..." I tried to formulate words but that didn't work.

"It looks really good" He smiled.

"Thanks... no one has ever really seen my drawings." I laughed lightly.

"They're really good. I sketch a lot but I can't draw people" John rubbed is neck sheepishly.

"Do you animals or still life or plants or...?"

"Animals" He smiled.

I took my sketchbook back out and finished the drawing, making sure I got all the details perfect. I handed it to John.

"Pegs this is amazing!" John said staring at my drawing. I smiled and watched him look at the drawing like a little kid.

"You can keep it if you want" I told him.

"Really? I'd love to! I'll hang it in my dorm!" John excitedly stated. I laughed and gave him the paper.

We sat in a comfortable silence for a minute. I started humming the song 'Stay With Me' by Sam Smith. It's my favorite song. John started softly singing along. His voice is beautiful. The song ended and I smiled at him.

"Your voice is beautiful, I wanna hear you sing more"

John laughed a bit and rubbed his neck. "I don't really like singing in front of people that much"

"Why? You're so good at it!"

"Nerves, I guess" John shrugged. We sat in silence again for a moment.

"That's my favorite song" I said breaking the silence.

John looked at me and smiled. "Really? I think that song is fun to sing"

"Yeah, my mom used to sing it to me... it reminds me of her" I smiled sadly thinking about my mother.

John's eye met with mine and we just sat there for a moment. I eventually put my head on John's shoulder and whispered just loud enough to hear, "Thank you"

"Thanks? For what Pegs?" John asked while he pulled me closer to him.

"For staying with me" I smiled but didn't move from John's arms.

He laughed at the reference to the song we just sang and said "I won't ever leave you sunflower"

I was confused at what he just called me. "Sunflower?"

"Oh, sunflowers remind me of you so I just... If you want me to stop I can!"

"No I like it! I was just confused" I laughed.

John laughed and smiled at me. I put my head back on his shoulder. "Ok sunflower" He said as he wrapped his arm around me.

I smiled and giggled. "Freckled-Face"

"I seriously love that nickname" He laughed. I laughed too.

We sat there and talked until we fell asleep.
