Ok so I know John was fluent in French but for this story he's not and Pegs took French and was very good at it.

PEGGY POV

"Ok so we just finished putting the posters up Peg" Angie said while her and Eliza walked up to me.

"Great! So I think everything's done" I looked at Alex who had a checklist of everything we needed to get done.

"Location?" Alex said looking at the clipboard then back at me.

"Schuyler mansion" Eliza smiled. We decided to have the party there because it was going to be big. Our Dad is out of town so we won't have to worry about that.

Alex wrote something then looked back at us. "Drinks and food?"

"Herc and Laf took care of that" I said.

"DJ?"

"Hired!"

"Guests?"

"Posters are put up and people were contacted" Angie replied.

"Alright I think that's it" Alex looked back at us and smiled.

We were at my dorm and classes start in two days. The whole school will be at this party, it's gonna be epic.

"Hey guys" Maria said walking into the dorm.

"Hey Mari!" I smiled. "Are you coming to the party tonight?"

"I-Is James gonna be there?" She asked, her voice shaking a bit.

The others looked at her confused and I remembered that they didn't know. I pulled Maria into our bedroom so we could talk without them there.

"I don't know" I said to Maria.

"Oh..." She sighed.

"But you'll be safe with us, if you wanna come" I tried to reassure Maria so she would come. She broke up with James but I was the only one who knew and somehow James hasn't told anyone.

"...Alright" Maria smiled.

"Great! Now let's go back to the kitchen!" I celebrated and grabbed Maria's arm.

We all stood in the kitchen of mine and Maria's dorm talking for a while until someone knocked on the door.

"I'll get it" I chirped walking to the door. I opened it to see my favorite freckled face. "Hi Johnny"

"Hey Pegs, did you finish planning the party?" John asked leaning on the doorframe.

"Yep!" I smiled.

"Great, now you can rest!" John walked in and gestured me to sit on the couch.

"Nooooo" I whined

"If you want to go to the party then you have to rest" John said a bit sterner than before.

I pouted and looked up at John. He gave me the 'Are you gonna go?' look.

"But I don't wanna" I replied, still pouting.

John lifted me off the ground and started walking towards the couch in my dorm. I screeched a little. John put me on the couch and put an ice pack on my foot.

"Ice is my new enemy" I grumbled (I've actually said this before XD)

"Too bad" John sat down beside me and everyone else walked in.

"Hey John" Alex said walking over.

"Thank God you got Peggy to rest" Eliza sighed and I groaned.

"Yeah, she doesn't listen to us" Angie lightly chuckled.

"He forced me, don't think I listened to anyone" I said making everyone laugh.

There was another knock on the door, but this time I wasn't allowed to get it. So Alex got up and opened the door to reveal our favorite FrenchFry and Man Who Needs No Introduction.

"Sup" Alex laughed letting them in.

"Hey guys!" I perked up and turned to look at them.

"Hey, We just finished everything" Herc said walking in.

"Then we're done! Now we can go to the mansion and set up!" Angie smiled.

"Dieu, c'est mignon" Laf mumbled.

Me and Alex screeched.

"OMG LAFFFFFF!!!" I screamed excitedly.

"DO YOU-" Alex started but was cut off.

"SHHHHHH" Laf urged waving his hands around.

"What'd he say?" Herc asked.

"Nothing!" Laf yelled. "I forgot Alex knows French"

"Pegs I didn't know you know French" Alex said.

"I took it in high school and was really good at it, I continued to study it and now I'm practically fluent" I said with pride.

"Well let's head to the mansion to set up" Eliza smiled. Alex wrapped his arm around Eliza's waist, making her blush.

I stood up and slid my shoes on. "You guys make me feel really single and alone" I pouted at Alex and Eliza. They laughed.

"You're not the only one," Angie pouted with me "And I'm older!" She threw her arms up.

John came over and hugged me from behind "But I can change that~" He said in a flirtatious way.

I blushed, made an inhuman screech, and fell over while trying to get away from his affection. Everyone laughed and John said, "That's the Peggy we know and love"

~TIME SKIP TO DURING THE PARTY~

The party's going great! Sadly I'm not allowed to get drunk. I'm only 19 and with my sisters, John and Alex around, there's no way I'm getting near the alcohol. Alex may seem like he's the kind of person to let you do whatever and sneak you drinks but he's actually super overprotective.

"Hey girlssss" I dragged out the 's' while walking up to my sisters, Theo and Maria.

"We're not giving you a drink Peggy" Angie said shooting me a look. Dang. She knows my tricks.

"But you're letting Maria drink!" I whined gesturing to the drink in Maria's hand.

"Maria's 20 and turns 21 before you turn 20, you're way younger than all of us" Eliza sighed.

"It's only 2 years" I grumbled.

"Aw cheer up Pegs! I'll put my drink back if it makes you feel better" Theo smiled.

"It's fine Theo, that won't do anything and I don't wanna ruin anything for you" I sighed.

I saw someone I thought I would never see. I quickly hid behind Angelica, but stayed so I could see the person.

Angie turned her head to face me. "Peggy what are you doing?"

I pointed at the boy. It was Stephen, my abusive ex. "You didn't tell me he goes to school with us" I hissed.

"To my knowledge, he doesn't! He must be new or something!" Angie replied quietly.

"Guys he's coming over here!" Eliza whisper-yelled.

"Oh shit" I muttered standing up.

"Peggy" He smirked making me want to throw up.

"Go away" I tried to sound threatening but it was more of a squeak.

"You still single since I left you? I mean I could always get back together with you" He tried to grab my arm but I pulled away.

"Never." This time I sounded threatening. "In fact I do have a boyfriend" I lied. The girls kinda looked at me but went along with it.

"Really? Who?" Stephen asked raising an eyebrow.

"Um..." I paused but not long enough for it to be questioned "John Laurens" I said without thinking.

"...Like the popular kid? No way, you're lying. He'd never date a nobody like you" Stephen snarled. I felt tears pricking the corners of my eyes. Mostly because he's right, John will never like me.

John happened to walk up just then. "Hey Baby" I was shocked. I saw Angie wink at me so I'm guessing she got John and told him the situation.

"Hi Johnny" I smiled as he walked closer. I saw the burning rage on Stephen's face. I think John noticed too because he pulled me into a hug and glared at Stephen. We pulled apart and I was still grinning, we were totally fooling him!

"Whatever" Stephen grumbled then walked away.

"Did you-"

"Angie told me" John smiled cutting me off.

"Thanks" I smiled back.

"Also you're not a nobody" John tapped my nose and walked away. I blushed and watched at him.

God, I'm helpless for this man.
