Third Person POV

"Oh my god Maria!!!" Peggy squealed.

Maria urgently tried to shush her. "Peggy-"

Peggy froze. "Wait when did you and Herc...?"

Maria's face turned redder than her shirt. "It's not his kid Peggy!" She whisper yelled. She wasn't sure how thin these walls were and she wasn't about to test that now.

"Then who's kid is-" Peggy stopped herself. She immediately felt bad for asking. "Maria... what did happen that day?"

A tear tracked down Maria's face. "I-"

"Mari you don't have to tell me" Peggy wanted to help Maria but she also didn't want to push or pressure her.

"No it's ok. I'm going to tell you but I'm not telling everyone else yet" Maria sat down on her bed and pat the spot next to her, motion Peggy to sit down.

"That's fine" Peggy said. Maria took a deep breath. "Take all the time you need"

"I was switching classes when.....

After she explains because both you guys and I don't want to go through that again.

"He did what?!" Peggy screamed. "Why that little-"

"Peggy stop" Maria laid back. "It's no use. What's done is done. Besides I'm not telling him about the kid, he could hurt it"

Peggy laid down next to Maria. "True. So you're keep it?"

"Well I think I have enough support to keep it" Maria smiled. What Angelica had told her truly helped make her decision.

Peggy grinned. "I don't know how to process this" she looked at Maria's stomach. "There's a baby in there! I'm gonna be an aunt!" Maria laughed. "Wait I can call myself that right?"

"Yes. 100% Peggy you will be this baby's aunt"

Peggy smiled wider than she had ever in her life. "I'm guessing you're not telling everyone yet?"

"Not yet... Although I think Angie knows" Maria laughed slightly.

"I think she knew before you did" The girls laughed. Not realizing that both of them had talked to Angelica. "What will this mean for your classes?" Peggy asked.

"I'm not sure... we might want to play it off as me being sick as long as we can though"

Peggy nodded. "Do you have any name ideas?"

"Peggy I just found out!"

"Look are you sure it's a good idea? What if I just come off as needy? Or if it looks like I want her for money? Or-"

"JOHN!" Alex yelled. "You are literally asking for help! Stop overthinking it!"

"Says you" John muttered.

"Just text her that you need to talk. James already said you can use the shop so no one barges in. There is nothing to worry about"

"See that wasn't so hard" Alex sassed.

"That wasn't the hard part." John sighed.

"You already told her that your dad doesn't like you so this part shouldn't be that hard" Alex sat down next to John. "Look she loves you, weather you know it or not"

John nodded. "Thanks Alex"

"Good. Now go! Shoo!"

John got to the shop and waited for Peggy. Peggy was confused when she walked into an empty coffee shop. She saw John sitting at a table.

"Hey Jackie!" Peggy sat down across from him.

"Hi Sunflower" John smiled nervously. Alex was right, there was no reason for him to he nervous but, yet he was.

"What'd you need?" Peggy was confused and concerned. John had seemed off to her and it wasn't like him to be nervous about talking to her.

"You know how my dad doesn't like me?" John started. He cringed. That was such a strange way to start a conversation.

"Yes..." Peggy raised an eyebrow. What in the world was John doing?

"Well he wanted me to major in law" Peggy's face turned into the face of confusion that basically read, 'Has he met you?' John laughed slightly. "Yeah I know. Well as you know I'm going into Animal Science" Peggy nodded. John took a deep breath. "He found out" John looked down. "And he wants me to pay him back for college, and he's not going to ever help me again"

Peggy gasped. "John that's awful. But I'm sure I can convince my dad to give me some money. Or I can get Angie and 'Liza to get money from dad because he doesn't listen go me."

"Peggy you don't-"

Peggy was already texting someone "Nope. Can I tell them what happened or leave it out?"

John was shocked that Peggy was just taking his matters as her own. "... Leave it out please"

Peggy smiled and looked up from her phone. John's heart skipped a beat as they made eye contact. "Alright 'Liza said she'll talk to dad tonight"

John wrapped his arms around her. "Thank you so much"

Peggy hugged him back and smiled. "Anytime"
