TW: BLOOD AND FIGHTING (it's not much)
Third Person POV (I'm trying something new so bare with me)

Peggy, Samuel, and Maria spent all night at Maria and Peggy's dorm doing their art project. Well more like they were talking and every so often Sam would try to get them back on track.

"Pegs you have barely taken off John's sweatshirt since he gave it to you" Maria laughed.

"Shut up Mari" Peggy mumbled into the sleeves of John's sweatshirt.

"Ohhh that's John's? I thought it wasn't really Peggy's style but I never said anything about it" Sam chuckled lightly, noticing how dumb he was not to have realized that.

"Blue's 'Liza's thing" Peggy shrugged.

"What is with you four and the color schemes?" Samuel asked.

"Four? But there's only three-" Maria cut herself off. "Oh... you meant me and the Schuylers"

Sam nodded, trying not to laugh at his friends slowness.

"Well I don't know about my sisters but yellow is a happy color to me, and I think we need all the happiness we can get" Peggy answered cooly

"I think red is a strong color, it helps me remember that I can be more than what other people think" Maria said, looking at the floor.

"Wow, that's a surprising importance to colors" Samuel knew about most of the stuff that both girls had gone through and it made him happy that they still looked for optimism. Even if it was in something kinda odd like colors.

The trio continued to talk (and occasionally work on their project) until Angelica came bursting through the door, using the key her sister gave her. Sam, Maria, and Peggy all turned to look at Angie.

"Guys, John's fighting Charles Lee" Angelica said, breathing heavy from running.

"What?!" Peggy screamed. It was no secret that John didn't like Charles but it wasn't like John to just fight someone. (Oh my poor innocent Peggy, little do you know-) Peggy bolted out of the room while Angelica, Maria, and Samuel chased after her.

The four of them got to behind their dorm building where the fight was happening.
They were met with the sight of Alex holding John back while Aaron Burr did the same with Charles Lee. Both Laurens and Lee were covered in blood and bruises, and trying to get back to fighting one another.

"Boys!" Washington's voice carried throughout the campus. Eliza stood beside him, as she had been the one to notify him of the fight.

"M-Mr. Washington this-" Alex tried to reason but Washington stopped him.

"Enough Alexander. I don't want to see any of you fighting on school grounds again. Go clean up and I'll decide what to do with you four later." Washington shook his head in disapproval and walked away.

Peggy felt annoyed that John would do something so stupid and reckless. "John!" She called, anger laced in her voice.

"She called you John" Alex whispered to John.

"Shut up Alex" He whispered back.

"Why would you do that?" Peggy asked.

"Look he was saying bad things about you, me, Alex, and Mr. Washington. Besides we all know Charles is thin as a stick and he couldn't have really hurt me" John said with a shrug.

"Well you could've at least told me." Peggy grumbled, walking over to the boys.

"Why?" Alex tilted his head to the side like a puppy.

"I wanted to watch" She pouted.

The boys both laughed. Alex looked around for a moment then spoke. "Wait, who got Washington anyway?"

Peggy shrugged as Maria, Samuel, and Angelica got to the rest of the group. "No idea, Angie was getting Me, Maria, and Sam so there's no way she got him too"

"'Liza did" Angelica answered.

John glanced around for a second before going to ask something. "Wait where is-"

"I'm right here!" Eliza called, running up to the group and cutting John off.

"Hey Betsy" Alex said, walking over to his girlfriend.

Eliza crossed her arms and shot him a look. "Don't 'Hey Betsy' me. Why in the world were you two fighting Burr and Lee?"

"Go off Eliza" Sam muttered while Maria, Angelica, and Peggy snickered quietly beside him.

"Lee was saying awful things about me, John, Peggy, and Mr. Washington" Alex said nonchalantly.

"What was he saying that was resolved in a fight?" Eliza pressed.

"I'd rather not talk about what he said about me" Alex muttered.

"Same" John mutter back.

"Ok then what did he say about Peggy and Mr. Washington?" Eliza asked, her voice more in her normal sweet tone.

"He um.. called Peggy the dumb, ugly, useless sister that no one cares about and she can just die" John mumbled, honestly not wanting to recall what happened.

"He what?!" Peggy screamed. "Let me at 'em!!"

Angelica grabbed her sister's hood causing her to (dramatically) choke and stumble backwards. "No Peggy, these two did enough of that"

"Yes Peggy" Peggy argued.

"Peggy no" Eliza said.

"Peggy yes"

"Peggy no!" Everyone yelled.

"You guys are no fun"

——————————————————————

Peggy sat in John and Alex's dorm, fixing up John's face and hands. She had learned a lot about that stuff after she got in so many fights in middle and high school and learned how to hide it from her father.

"You're an idiot John" She said, cleaning up a cut on John's face.

"I'm your idiot" he replied grinning.

"Stop smiling, it's hard to clean your face if your face is moving!"

Alex laughed at the two bickering and sat down in a chair next to where Peggy was cleaning up John. "Yeah John, stop moving so much"

"Shut up Alex" John muttered, trying not to move his face too much.

Peggy finished cleaning John's face and started to look at the damage done to his hands. "...What did Lee say about you guys?" She hesitantly asked.

Both boys' faces softened and Alex suddenly found the counter that his arm was leaning on very interesting. "In short words, he called me a bastard, immigrant orphan, and a son of a whore." Alex quietly answered.

"Lex...." Peggy stopped looking at John's hands and glanced over at Alex. "You don't believe all that... do you?" Peggy was overly concerned. No matter how confident her best friend could be, she knew how insecure he got.

"Well I am an immigrant and an orphan so I guess those are just facts. My mother was NOT  a whore so there he's just incorrect. And well, Damn right I'm a bastard. And I'll wear that label with pride" Alex smirked.

Peggy and John burst into laughter. Once they calmed down Peggy made eye contact with John. "Jackie, what'd he say about you?"

John became red at the name but looked away from Peggy. He knew he should tell her what he said and explain it but it wasn't the easiest thing to do. "Um... he said that I'm so worthless that not even my dad can love me" John was scared of Peggy's reaction, Alex already knew what his dad had done but no one else did.

"John I...." Peggy couldn't think of something to say.

"I'll explain. I'm sure that when Alex told you about Jackie he mentioned Jack but told you not to say anything about that or my dad, right?" John looked at Peggy and she nodded. "Yeah, so my dad, before I moved out, used to have very high standards for me and my siblings, especially me, as I'm the oldest. I guess I never met them... so long story short my dad hates me and someone somehow found out"

"Welcome to the club I guess" Peggy muttered.

"What?" Alex and John asked at the same time.

"Oh.. I should probably explain. Well you both know how my mom died when I was little right?" The boys nodded. "Well me, 'Liza, Angie, my dad, and my mom used to be super close. But when my mom died, he changed. He took it all out on me, by yelling at me all the time for not being like my sisters. And I guess he had a good reason." The boys looked at Peggy confused. She sighed and continued. "I killed my mom"

The boys gasped and looked at Peggy even more confused then before. "Wait but you were like 3 when your mom died. How would a 3 year old have killed their mother?" Alex asked.

"My mom got sick when I was born and she managed to stay alive for three years but if I wasn't born Angie and 'Liza would still have a mom so it's my fault." Peggy said, not looking at John or Alex.

"Pegs, you couldn't've controlled that. It's no one's fault that your mom died" John said, grabbing Peggy's hands.

Peggy half heartedly smiled at John. Alex laughed out of nowhere, cause John and Peggy to shoot him a look.

"I guess we all have daddy issues then" Alex laughed.

"Daddy issues club?" John chuckled sticking his hand out.

"Daddy issues club" Alex and Peggy laughed, putting their hands with John's.
