Ok before I start the chapter I wanted to say that the SDR thing was inspired by MishaIsOurOverlord1 's Mute Alex Lams book. Go read it, it's amazing. Anyway you can read my trash now.
JOHN POV

Peggy and I have been missing classes all week because Pegs does have a concussion so me and Alex are keeping her in our dorm. She's also been wearing glasses all week. Apparently she already had them but I've never seen her wear them. I mean I'm not complaining, she looks adorable. (But when does she not) Anyway, now we're about to play MarioKart until Alex comes back from his classes. Alex thought about missing classes for Peggy for 20 whole seconds so me and Peggy think it's a win.

"John can I have cookies?" Peggy begged giving me puppy eyes. I started baking her cookies and now she won't stop asking me for them. I laughed and grabbed some chocolate chip cookies off the counter. I walked back over to the couch where Peggy handed me a controller.

Peggy's been a lot better lately, but she seems stressed out about something.... I think Sam is in her classes that Maria's not in so I might ask him to keep an eye on her.

-TIME SKIP TO AFTER THEY PLAY MARIOKART FOR HOURS-
PEGGY POV (oml y'all I was going to write part if this in John's pov but I've gotten too used to Pegs pov XD)

"HA!" I screamed jumping off the couch. I turned and pointed at John. "I've officially won more races than you!"

John pretended to pout but I heard him snicker a little.

"Hey lovebirds, I'm back! I hope you didn't do anything disgusting while I was in class" Alex laughed, walking into the dorm.

"We just played MarioKart Alex" I glared at him as I spoke.

"Did you kick John's ass?" Alex asked in a fake serious tone.

"Definitely" I smirked.

"Good" Alex tried to be serious again but he laughed.

"Y'all are mean" John grumbled as I giggled at his southern accent slipping.

I thought of something I've been meaning to ask them for a while now. "Alex, John..." They both looked at me as I trailed off. No, I have to ask them. "What's the SDR?"

The boys exchanged a look. I can't really read their expressions. "Peggy did your sisters really not tell you about the SDR?" John asked.

I looked at the ground and grumbled. "They don't tell me anything"

Alex sighed then started explaining, "Pegs the SDR, or as they like to call themselves, 'The Southern Motherfuckin' Democratic Republicans', is a group that basically just tries to ruin people's lives. The people in it are Tomas Jefferson, James Maddison, James Reynolds, King George, Charles Lee, John Adams, John Jay, and like a handful of other kids, but the ones I named are the biggest douche bags"

"Oh" That's all I got out. Put these people try to ruin lives, what would they do to my friends if I didn't listen to Stephen? I don't wanna find out.

John started talking which pulled me away from my thoughts. "Why were you asking Pegs?"

"Oh I just heard it come up and I got curious" I lied. God I hate lying to John and Alex but it's the safest thing to do. Luckily it seems like they're buying it, or at least not going to ask me about it. They haven't been asking me many questions the last few days, though I can tell they have them. I wish I could tell them.

"Alex one of us needs to go shopping" John said after going into the kitchen for a second.

Alex groaned. "But I just got backkkkk"

"Fine, I'll go, just look after Peggy" John sighed.

"Hey! I don't need looking after" I whined.

They both just looked at me, causing me to laugh a little.

"Ok well I'm going to head out" John grabbed at sweatshirt and walked towards the door. He opened it then turned back to us. "Please don't burn the dorm down"

"Wow he has so much faith in us" I laughed as John left.

"He tell me that every time he leaves" Alex chuckled.

"Ok now tell me everything embarrassing you know about John" I smirked.

"Only if you tell me embarrassing things about Eliza" Alex laughed. I groaned.

"Angie and 'Liza are practically perfect! The most embarrassing thing Eliza's done is fall face first down the stairs when she was 12. And if you ask Angie the most embarrassing thing she's done is have a crush on y-" I quickly shot my hand over my mouth. Shoot I almost told Alex that Angie had a crush on him. I mean she obviously doesn't anymore but she still doesn't want Alex or Eliza knowing.

"A crush on who?" Alex asked now clearly interested.

"N-No one" I nervously laughed and Alex looked at me suspiciously.

"Aw come on Pegs!"

"Nope! Sister secrets" I crossed my arms and turned away from him. Alex pouted.

"Ok so there's one thing that I know he hates, Laf and Herc told me this" Alex said after a minute.

I grinned and turned towards him, now ready for a story.

"Ok so you call him Johnny right?" I nodded. Alex smirked then continued, "so he doesn't mind that but he used to have a few more nicknames that he doesn't really like. His father called him Jack and throughout middle school and a little of high school he was called that. But in elementary school he was called Jackie, and I think his siblings still call him that."

I giggled. "Alex, I'm totally calling him that now"

"Ok just don't call him Jack or mention his father" Alex said in a serious tone. I nodded but kept that in the back of my mind. There is definitely a story behind this.

"Do you wanna watch a movie?" I asked after a short silence.

"Sure but I have a question first"

"Hm?"

"You look really skinny, like scary skinny, are you eating?" Alex looked right at me. Shit, Alex is practically a lie detector. If I lie to him about this he'll just pry it out of me.

I just nervously laughed. "Mayyyybeee?"

"Peggy.... You really need to-"

"Alex I know! But I hate the way I look and Stephen's right and" I stopped when I realized what I said.

"What do you mean Stephen's right? I thought he wasn't anywhere near you except that one time" Alex's voice was stern but he clearly cared. I don't know what to do....

"Eh....ahaha....." I nervously laughed again hoping Alex wouldn't want to know more.

"Peggy."

"No... his words from the past just stick....that all" I hesitantly lied.

"Just.... please eat, ok?" Alex looked at me with concern still in his eyes. Dear Lord he definitely knows I'm lying. I just nodded. 

Alex and I watched movies until John got back.

"I'm back y'all" John yelled as he walked in the dorm.

I giggled and turned to look at him. "Heya Jackie"

John's face turned red and he shot Alex a glare. "Alex."

Alex just laughed in response.

"So Jackie-"

"Don't call me that"

"Jackie~" I teased as John turned red and faced me.

"Margarita" John shot back.

My eyes widened and my face turned red. I quickly turned around and slid back onto the couch. Nope. Not doing that today. No thanks. Alex laughed at me and John being embarrassed at names and nicknames.

"Shut up Alex!" Me and John yelled at the same time.
