Author's note

Hello there! Miss Owls here, also known as Yasmin, and I'm here to thank you for reading the summary of this story and adding it to your reading list (you did add it to your list, right?). It truly means a lot for me when someone shows support and appreciation for my work, it does give me the motivation to continue my hobby as a writer and it reminds me of why I have this gift of writing.

Anyways, I did not come here to just say thank you for picking this book up, I also came here to add a little note and tell you the theme of this story. You see, this book is my goal for NaNoWriMo 2021 and I thought about joining it for the first time to achieve one of my writing projects. So I'll try my best to reach 50K words by the end of the month, which means the chapters are going to be a little short.

And secondly, I want to tell you a secret that might be shocking to you. I hid this because I thought you didn't need to know about it and that maybe it wasn't important, but here I am, about to spill it out.

And the secret is:

I am a mentally disabled woman who suffered from ELD (Expressive Language Delay) which caused me to have a Learning difficulty and possible ADHD at a young age, and there is a possibility that I might still have ADHD but without Hyperactivity, so basically I might still have ADD to this day (who knows?)

If you don't know what Expressive Language Delay is, don't worry, I can teach you.

Expressive Language Delay is a communication disorder where children have the inability and difficulty to express themselves and their emotions and thoughts and have difficulty conveying information through speech, writing, gestures and body language (Google).

I know, shocking! And because of my condition, I thought about writing a character who has the same mental condition as me and share what it's like to live as a mentally disabled person with ELD.

So the story follows Nelsia who suffers from ELD and ADHD, and we join her on her journey as a mentally disabled girl who daydreams about travelling the world to see its wonders. Along with her father Rogas, a cold minded and short-tempered sorcerer who tries his best to raise Nelsia despite her mental condition. When together, Rogas might seem careless and rude to Nelsia, but when a stranger comes in and kidnaps her, Rogas's mind and heart are tested when truths begin to slip and secrets are unveiled to Nelsia. And will Nelsia's heart change after she discovers these secrets?

Again, thank you for picking this book up and I hope you enjoy the tale that is my personal favourite, in which you will find humour, hope, discovery and father-daughter bonding

Thanks for reading this note

Yours, Miss Owls
