I woke up to the sounds of a tiny sparrows outside my window, I sluggishly got up. I rubbed my weary eyes,stretching as I got ready for my day.

Meow!

"Morning Ruby,how did you sleep?" I petted his ears, he really likes it.

Ruby purrs,rubbing against my leg,no doubt my for some breakfast. I picked him up, gently holding him in my arms as I ventured down the stairs.

"Grandma left for work already... Oh well,guess it's just the two of us" I say down, Ruby on my lap,waiting patiently for his meal

I handed him some of the leftover fish cakes from last night ramen. I don't like fish that much,so Ruby will have all mine from now on.

Ruby quickly ate his full of the fishcake,leaving only a few scrapes. Boy,he must have quite the appetite.

"Remind me to buy you a ton of fish. I guess fish is getting added to the grocery list" I made myself a fruit salad, wondering what my plans would be for the today

Ruby locked my cheek as a thank you. He is such a sweetheart,not to mention adorable. What did I do to deserve a kitten like him?

I picked his head then proceed in eating my salad. Strawberries,melon slices,cherries,and bananas,my nutritious breakfast. Grandma always made this for me when I was five,but since she works till nine at night,I been eating alone. Alone a word that I embody. A lonely girl with no friends.

Ruby looked at me worriedly, meowing concerned about my well being.

"I'm ok,Ruby. Just tired is all, please don't worry about me. I'm fine honest" I smile at him,trying to convince him it was true

"Ok,maybe I miss sharing meals with grandma,but she's working hard so I can live here" I told him, sighing a bit,masking my true feelings.

Ruby  respected my answer,then he gestured for me to follow him upstairs.

I followed him,watching him climbing up the stairs. He lead me to my room. I wondered why as I horribly made my way there.

As I opened my door,there on my pink,pinewood nightstand was Ruby.

"Silly kitty,if you wanted to play,then you just have to ask me" I softly giggled,going over to pick him up.

His fur despite it's unusual color felt simply godlike to the touch. Like an expensive fur coat that people must have. But his fur almost feels like a piece of fabric is attached to it, a cape of some sort,but invisible to my eyes. I noticed that he had something snag on his tail. I grab it,inspecting it careful.

The necklace was a simple design. I was a gold orb with tiny symbols in it's surrounding it's center, the symbols appeared to be  in a language that I couldn't decipher. I'm the center was a clear, see through marbel, though I say it is more like a crystal. The thread was silk. Why is this expensive looking necklace doing in my room? Did grandma her for me? It does seem like something she would do, she always took my needs before her own,making several sacrifices for my benefits. She truly is a kind hearted soul. I put it on, to my surprise it fits perfectly,as it was measured just to fit me personally.

"It's beautiful, I gotta thank her for such a marvelous necklace" I couldn't take my eyes off it

I fiddled my fingers over it,there was a button of some sorts. Peeking my curiosity, I pushed it. A light blue light came out of the marbel,as if it were  a light shine from the heavens themselves. The light shines on Ruby,he disappeared. Then from the shadows, a floating, blue cat wearing a red cape appeared. He gazed at me, his eyes filled with just justice and friendship in a way I never seen before.

"R-ruby" I stuttered, fearing this stranger who had appeared before me

"Hello Bloom, I am truly impressed by your pure, goodhearted soul. It's no doubt that reason,you have been chosen to be fated partner. Bloom Yumi,I am Hovernyan,defender of justice,defeated of evil. And now I will be your loyal companion and partner!" He grins at me, words he spoke hold true honest.

" Whaaaaaat???!!! " I was so shocked that I completely blacked out.

"Bloom?! "
