7. Lima syndrome.
"I'm coming in!" J-hope shouted with purpose before opening the door to Rain's room, slowly looking on the floor, praying internally that she is not half-naked or something again.
Rain was laying on the bed half asleep after she ate the food from yesterday, that J-hope brought her before she passed out.
She has changed into a black over-sized t-shirt with a thrasher logo on it, that surprisingly for how tall she is, fitted her like a short dress. She opened her eyes in his footsteps and raised her body to a sitting position.
He made his way back to the couch -that probably still had his butt imprint from sitting there for twelve long hours yesterday- without sparing her a glance.
"Do you mind dressing? I will stay here."
He fell with his back on the couch and immediately started playing with his phone, probably to avoid looking at her. Okay, obviously for that.
"Nah, I usually am naked when home alone."
Yet you are not naked and most certainly not home, sweetheart. He thought with an eye-roll.
She stood on her knees on the bed and looked towards him, smirking.
"This is actually 'cause you are here." She pulled down the shirt she is wearing to show it.
This time, he did lift his eyes from his phone.
And wished he hadn't.
Her shirt was too fucking short. It was revealing her long legs and thighs perfectly. The challenging stare that accompanied her movement was saying, what you gonna do?
He stared back with a plain expression, yet she could tell that his jaw was ready to relocate from the way he was grinding his teeth.
Nothing.
"No response?" She said, amused with a raised eyebrow, clearly enjoying his torment too much.
Nope. I like my balls where they are.
It was clear as day that she tested him, figuring out how far will he go, crack him in the process.
J-hope ignored two crucial things.
One, his breath getting shorter.
The need to go there and slap her cause she was annoying and making him angry.
Or kiss her cause she is so fucking hot. Or both. Probably the second was more on his mind. He couldn't fight her back. Or touch her. Why the hell does she have to be so... important?
Change the subject
The only decent thought in his head sounded good.
"Your funeral," he smirked back at her. "Stay dressed like that. We are going out."
Before he finished the sentence, the smirk on her face turned into a beautiful smile that lit up her whole face.
"I don't know what you told RM, to make him break the rules like that -actually, this has never happened before- but he said that from now on, you could go out."
J-hope sighed and looked at the ceiling while Rain was looking at her nails with satisfaction like she conquered a country. "Never alone, of course." He added.
"Yay, I have the perfect number for kidnapped victim's first exit to the world," she replied, rolling her eyes as she got off the bed with smooth and firm moves and walked towards the bathroom.
As she was walking away he couldn't keep his stare elsewhere and took a glimpse of her figure. Right where the short black shirt ended -calculatedly covering only her ass- there were two tattoos, each on every thigh. It was letters, but he couldn't read what it said like it was written in a weird way, mirrored, or ... upside down?
The door behind her closed, and he let a big sigh get out of his chest.
She is off-limits, for that matter.
No one touches her.
Fortunately, he knew the reason she was here -thankfully not too late- and also knew that RM's orders were not for his own personal benefit but accurately based on hard facts. Gang rules. Of the unbroken, ride or die kind.
"Fuck... What are you doing?..."
He closed his eyes, rubbing both tattooed palms on his face.
About 20 dreadful minutes later, she came out of the bathroom dressed with a black crop top that revealed her lean stomach and her belly button ring and a black high waisted skater skirt with two white lines at the hem, paired with her black vans. There was a hint of smooth and subtle makeup, with a little cat-eye and a cherry red lipstick that contrasted her full lips from her porcelain white skin.
J-hope almost fell from the couch when he saw her and stood up fast in an awkward way.
Great. Dodging bullets is a piece of cake but dodging cherry red lipstick will prove to be hell.
"Ready?"
He said as she was already walking towards the door. She turned and gave him a big sultry smile.
He ignored that maybe his pulse accelerated a little.
"Yes! Let's go," She said with excitement.
"Before we leave, RM wants to talk with you. He is waiting downstairs with the others."
J-hope led the way out towards the elevator.
This place was like a small maze. It had so many rooms yet looked small, but the rooms inside were big. All doors had numbers outside them, like a hotel. But no one else seemed to be on this floor.
J-hope pressed the 0 button, and Rain noticed that there were 5 floors, a small button that was over the fifth floor that had a keyhole next to it and also -1 and -2 floors, also with keyholes next to them. They were limited access probably, meaning you can't get on that floor if you don't have the key as well.
They went out to find the others sitting in some lounge/lobby with black leather couches.
A flirty whistle coming from the lips of V filled the air, making the others almost crack their necks from how fast they turned.
She walked towards them, J-hope following her.
"We have some business to attend to, so I'll be short."
RM stood and crossed his arms while scanning Rain from top to bottom with a serious face.
"Sit."
He ordered and nodded towards the empty armchair, tilting his head.
Rain moved towards them and took a seat on the couch between V and Jungkook, facing Jimin, Jin, and Suga, who now was exactly opposite of her.
In her face was a smirk of satisfaction, maybe because she defied RMs order, or maybe because Suga was in front of her.
"First of all, you don't talk to anyone."
RM seemed annoyed that Rain ignored him but continued.
"You never, ever leave J-hopes side. You don't go to crowded places."
He continued, but Rain, instead of listening to him, was looking at Suga, who was looking back at her with his same expressionless face, lying back on the couch.
She smirked and crossed her long legs that her short skirt was revealing.
Then he took his eyes away and pressed his lips. She couldn't read his emotions, which frustrated her, considering it was a thing she is normally good at.
"That's all for now. We need to talk when you are back."
RM finished his sentence and everyone stood up and walked towards the elevator. RM called it, and when they all got in, he scanned a card key to a small screen under the buttons and pressed -1. Obviously, his card key had access to all the floors without using the acquired keys.
They got off at -1, a parking, with at least 10 different black cars of all types inside and 2 motorbikes, All with black tinted windows. All new and luxurious.
J-hope called Rain "this way" to lead her towards the car they were going to take, but before they split with the others, she stood next to Suga in a breaths distance and whispered in his ear.
"I wasn't lying."
She smirked and then turned to follow J-hope without looking back.
Suga narrowed his eyes and pressed his lips as she left because he knew very well what she was talking about.
Rain left with a smile of satisfaction and entered a black two seated Corvette Convertible, in which J-hope was already seated and starting the engine.
She was sure that J-hope would have told Suga about going pantyless until he goes to buy her new underwear.
Well, if he was actually the one who took her that night. But she was sure. He had to be. She wanted him to be.
While the car took off and exited the facility, Rain looked back to see the building she was kept in all those days. But the parking exit was in the back, so she just saw the back of a well maintained old building that looked luxurious. The street they came out was like a big back alley.
"You are not blindfolded cause in case something goes wrong, you need to know how to get back."
J-hope explained, answering a question that was on her mind.
"We know that you are tracing your steps, Rain," his eyes on the road. "So it will be easy for you to find your way back."
"What makes you so sure that I will come back?" Rain looked at him, amused.
He smiled, eyes always on the road.
"You will find out tonight. RM will tell you when we get back."
Well, that was a nice trick. Now she wouldn't try to escape because she wanted so bad to find out why she was there, why they took her, why they were keeping her, why the other yakuza clan was following her as well.
She kept thinking that her father was involved somehow, but she hasn't seen him in years. They hadn't talked or met for almost 10 years so she couldn't know what he has done this time.
But she remembered one time when she was 6, that he was arguing on the phone with someone in his office and he mentioned South Korea and money. Then she went back to her room and looked at her map to find it.
It was so far.
Halfway across the world.
