6. A medkit and a promise.

"I'm back. Let's eat," J-hope entered the room again and left the food on the small table in front of the couch.

There was no sign of Rain in the room.

"What the fuck, is she still in the shower?" I mean, how long do girls need to shave their legs or whatever?

He murmured. The main door was still locked when he came back, so unless she had some magic evaporative ability along with her fighting skills, she should be still inside.

"Hey, are you there?" he knocked on the bathroom door twice.

"...ou there?"

Rain heard J-hopes's distant voice bringing her back to consciousness while opening her eyes.

She felt the cold water still running on her skin.

Trying to get her thoughts together, she sat on the cold marble shower floor, turning off the water, placing her head on her knees.

 How long was I out?

She tried to stand up, raising her right hand to pull herself as pain sliced through her shoulder.

"I am coming in,"

A yelling J-hope sounded from the other end of the door.

"No, wait... I am ok. I am coming out now."

She wrapped herself tightly in a black towel and opened the door.

Her long black hair was still dripping, making small rivers on her shoulders until the towel soaked them.

She had more tattoos that were obvious, and the end of them was showing where the towel started except for those in her arms and ankles, which were on full exposure.

J-hope stared at her for a second and then turned his look away. None of them commented that the hardcore tattooed criminal was blushing. He coughed once to clear his throat, mustering a firm and heavy voice.

"Are you ok? what happened?" His eyes fell on her hand, which was holding the towel tightly under her shoulder like it was injured.

"Are you hurt?" He took a step forward to see while narrowing his eyes.

She took her eyes from the floor to look at him.

"Medkit," She ordered with a low, firm tone, weirdly steadier than J-hope's.

He immediately turned and left the room with large steps, almost running, banging the door behind him.

She exhaled, running her free palm on her face.

Should I tell them?

For the whole one minute, she stayed alone her thoughts were debating.

Should I tell the whole truth?  ...Nope.

Can I avoid it? ...Nope.

I don't like to seem weak... Yeah, that's not a priority right now.

Well fuck! I don't even know them!

I can't trust them! What if...

She lay on the bed looking at the ceiling, her arm pressing her injured shoulder.

I can say that I slipped... it might happen again anyway...

The door opened all of a sudden, and RM rushed in -why the hell is he worried?- his eyes instantly targeting the spot above the towel that Rain was holding onto.

He went next to the bed and looked at her while she got up with slow movements and sat at the end of the bed.

His eyes still focused on her hand that was pressing the black towel over the collarbone. He looked back at her, and she sighed with an eye-roll. She seemed annoyed with herself.

"First, I need equipment for a stitch... I assume you have..."

Rain said and lowered the black towel a little to reveal a small cut, but big enough, blood flowed from it immediately when she released it from the towel.

"How the hell did you manage that while showering?" Something passed across his features -a moment of hesitation- before he shook his head, then stood to make his way back to the door.

"Stay still. I'll bring Jimin to patch this up."

He felt a hand pulling him back before taking half step.

"Wait!"

He stopped but was already pulling out his phone from his pocket and typing something.

"Just bring me the kit. I want to do it myself."

Rain said to him with a firm voice. The determined expression that was on her face made RM question her sanity. A little.

"He won't try anything if that is what you are thinking. And he is medically trained.."

"I know he won't try anything,"

Rain rolled her eyes, thinking how easily she took his gun just to mess with him yesterday.

"I just want to do it myself!" She insisted on convincing him before closing her eyes for a long pause to follow.

She opened them slowly, while a sudden feeling of remorse was taking her over.

"And meanwhile, I will tell you how this happened..." The confessing tone escaped her lips while she was looking at her wound.

He took a long inhale, assessing her. Every second near the towel-clad, dripping girl raised the room temperature by ten degrees. Sharing a space with Rain was an experience. Intense. Infuriating. Intriguing.

But instead of leaving, he dialed someone.

"Bring the medkit in her room immediately."

He ended the call with one press of his tattooed finger on the phone screen.

There was a beat of silence before his eyes returned to hers.

They were still emotionless, but the whole minute he was trying to find anything that could help him read them. But nothing was there.

Except when she narrowed them. Then she strongly, undoubtedly, reminded him of someone else.

Fates agreed to spare them, as the door opened to reveal a worried J-Hope holding a red metal box with a white cross on it.

He passed it to RM, no questions asked, and left the room instantly, closing the door behind him. RM walked to the other side of the room and took the chair from the study to bring it next to the bed, facing it.

"Sit,"  he ordered, and when Rain did, he took her place to the end of the bed. He opened the box, and she took a needle and some surgical suture. Without hesitation, she started piercing the skin with the needle at the begging of the cut while RM was looking at her, surprised. She didn't even use something to numb the cut from the pain.

"I passed out," She said to him, her eyes on the needle like she felt no pain.

"Why?" he said. "Are you sick?" with a tone of disbelief in his voice.

"No. Well, not exactly." She sighed but continued to the end of the stitch, and then she secured it with a knot.

"The truth is I was on some kind of medication when... well, when you kidnapped me. And I haven't taken it since then..."

"What is it for? I will bring you some."

He pulled his cell phone out again, ready to call. This was the second time she recognized a glance of concern in his eyes.

"No." She stopped him, placing her palm over the phone.

"I... " She looked at the ceiling, cursing inwardly. "I can't tell you... But it's fine. I don't need it. I passed out because of the withdrawal of the medicine, not because I need it...  I can live without it."

She confessed, rubbing her face with her hands, careful of her words.

"You understand that you have to tell me what it is for? What is your condition?"  He explained with wide eyes as he leaned forward from the bed to look at her with a scolding tone.

Rain had stopped counting how many times he showed his concern, and he obviously had stopped hiding it.

She closed her eyes to think for a few seconds and opened them suddenly to speak.

"I will tell you if you promise to keep it to yourself, and if you tell me why I am here."

Her words were serious as a heart attack.

"I won't tell anyone... I know a lot about you that the others don't."

He smiled kindly, making cute dimples appear under his cheekbones.

"...and I will tell you why you are here when the time is right."

"When is that?" she shouted, frustrated, making his face hide the dimples.

"If you don't tell me, I can't help you," he raised his voice accordingly.

There was nothing in her file about a medical condition.

"I'll tell you if you tell me first" Rain started getting irritated for real, and her voice was getting higher with each sentence, tempted to tell him to stick his bossy attitude where the sun doesn't shine.

Outside of the room was V with Jungkook, guarding it.

Jimin passed by to ask what the medkit was for. He looked at the other two as he heard the muffled by the door shouting of Rain and RM.

"What's going on?" he asked.

"It's Raining," V answered with a grin.

Back inside the room.

"Fine! Then I'm done here!"

RM's dark brown eyes were flaring with anger.

"Fine! Fuck!  I'll tell you."

She pinched the bridge of her nose. And then, after she removed it, a threatening glance escaped her russet eyes. A glance that promised sweet revenge. She didn't blink once as she made it clear.

"But for your own good, try to keep your promise."
