25. Stupid Orange Juice and Fucking Sake.

Stupid Orange Juice

After the encounter with the other two, Suga went to the balcony to get some air. He didn't know what to do.

He didn't want to accept the fact that Rain could have been pretending this whole time.

That maybe she manipulated him to think that she liked him, just for fun.

Something, though, was off.

He tried to mentally go back a few hours ago and recollect the memories that his brilliant but evil sun gave him.

"We can track her phone!"

The door to the balcony opened violently, and RM ran towards Suga, who was laying on the couch, on Rain's favorite spot, with his arms behind his head, looking at the stars starting to make their appearance.

"Why?" He answered apathetically, his eyes still wandering to nowhere.

"Isn't it obvious where she went?" A smirk of disgust formed on his lips as his nose wrinkled.

"Suga..." RM sighed and looked up to find some courage before letting his next sentence out.

"J-Hope told me..."

Suga scoffed, amused.

"And what? You are surprised?"

The ironic tone in his voice was starting to hit the highest limits.

"Why? Because you thought that I am so unaffected by her, as you said?" He said, closing his eyes while tightening his lips in a half-smile.

Rm looked at him, troubled, without answering.

It was so weird for him, seeing Suga's emotional side.

All his eyes had met till now was a versatile, yet stone-cold man, rarely phased, even under brutal circumstances, that the most significant proof that he slightly cares about anything, was his sarcastic comments. And those would occur only to arrogantly blame others for ignorance. Or to debate one of them for fun.

"Wanna know something twisted?"

Suga opened his eyes to get his ironic grin again, but this time it was hiding pain behind it.

"It was Nanami's plan all along!" He snorted in disbelief at his own words.

"What do you mean?" RM narrowed his confused glance at Suga, who was getting up from the couch to lean at the end of the balcony.

"I mean, that bitch wanted me to fall for her daughter!" He laughed ironically

"She made me track Rei for years, while all of you had no clue of her existence! She made me make sure that she was constantly training, that she was leading that fucking squatting in Stockholm, that she could beat anyone, that she is well... That no one will touch her. And then, that I will bring her back, and make sure, and I quote, that if any of you here touches her, she will cut your dicks off with one of Jin's knives and throw them out of this fucking balcony. And she fucking knew that I was in fucking love with Rei already!"

He was shouting towards the balcony's empty air, in a way that scared RM about his mental state, but not enough to keep him from reacting.

"What the fuck, Suga!" he grabbed him from his shirt, forcing him to face him.

"How could you hide this all along?" RM's eyes were throwing fires, to Suga's dead stare.

"IT WAS A FUCKING ORDER!" He shouted with all his strength, emptying the air from his lungs.

"Nanami wanted to make sure that her other clan won't find Rei, because if they did, they would kill her and make Sakai lead the fucking clan with Rei, to take back the power and assets the Ryuzakis' stole from my family!"

His eyes were wide open, as he was so sunk into the explanation that he didn't notice that the other five were standing on the door frozen from the absurd things that they heard for the first time in their dark lives.

"What do you mean yours?" V managed to express what all of them were trying to figure out but were too startled to say, just kept staring, confused, and aggravated towards Suga's form.

It was the time that the secrets he kept from them all these years were about to be revealed.

The time that his six blood brothers in crime would find out a few fragments about the mystery that was wrapped around the jobs and missions he was obligated to complete under Nanami's orders.

"I mean mine, as for me, Sakai, and our father, the former Saiko-komon."

His voice got lower as their eyes got wider, ready to fire him with questions, so he continued, not allowing them to do it, as he knew all the possible things they were going to ask.

"My grandfather was the oyabun of the other clan, many years ago. Still, managing the Ryuzaki assets, since they own almost every Japanese-funded business in Seoul. But those restless, greedy motherfuckers wanted someone from inside their family to rule. So when my grandfather died, they underlined my father to Saiko-komon, making Nanami, their daughter, Oyabun, instead of him."

"I am so confused right now." Jimin rubbed his face and dragged his hand back to his hair with a sigh. "So, wait, Sakai is your brother?" He continued with a grimace of disgust.

"Half." He gave him a frightening glare like it was Jimin's fault for that.

"My father had an affair. Sakai was not born into the family, so he normally wouldn't be considered in the hierarchy. Nanami forced my father to send him away, and then, the infamous day that she killed the clan members in the meeting, she took me with her."

"I am still so confused..." V repeated Jimin's moves. "Your father..." he murmured, looking up like he was counting something. "But Suga... doesn't that make you the other clan's rightful leader? Our enemies' leader?"

His deep voice made everything sound darker somehow.

Suga smirked with arrogance as he was brought back to reality from the storytelling of the past.

"And that is why Sakai wants me dead." He crossed his arms in front of his chest, smiling with confidence.

"To take my place."

Then he pinched the bridge of his nose with an exasperated sigh.

"He doesn't know I don't want it, though."

"So what do we do now? According to Nanami's orders, we must keep Rain away from the other clan. We have to figure out how to bring her back." RM said, frustrated with his hands on the air, ready to design a new action plan, letting the former-right-hand/temp-leader mind state take him over.

"No!" Suga cut him.

"We do nothing. If she wants to go, let her be gone. We continue as it is for now."

He said and pursed his lips with bitterness.

"Nanami is dead after all."

The rest left him and went back inside, leaving him alone, as Suga didn't seem able to talk anymore. He even asked Jimin for a cigarette.

He didn't give him. He stole one when he wasn't looking.

He was still lost in his thoughts, trying to figure out what the hell Rain had in her mind.

And why, after all these weeks, she chose to run away now.

Now, after what happened between them.

He passed right next to the table, where the ashtray with the last of her cigarettes was. He looked at it, remembering her sitting next to the bed, smoking one that never ended inside the ashtray.

He still couldn't believe that this girl he felt so strong for had tricked him this badly. Again.

Could she had it planned all along?

But why?

He felt so sure for her a few hours ago, and just as she said, his arrogance made him fly too close to the sun and burn.

But somehow, he had a weird feeling that he was missing something from the whole picture.

He narrowed his eyes, still lost in the ashtray, trying to figure out why she did it.

"Ok, let's say she wakes up, assuming she was asleep..."

He thinks and tries to focus on her next move, but instead, his mind is drawing him backward before they were asleep.

"Fuck! Focus!"

He puts his head between his hands and closes his eyes, squinting them, trying to sort out the mental images and clarify the ones useful to the situation.

But that's not so easy when the things you secretly want the most, and the things you secretly fear the most, happen within a few hours.

"She gets up, she dresses..."

This was harder than he thought. Still, images of her and some specific tattoo were popping around, messing with his head, as self-hatred was beginning to form in his consciousness, for being played by her so easily.

He takes a long breath and continues.

"...then she takes my fucking keys and phone..."

His jaw clenches at the thought, then smirks ironically while he puts his hands in his pockets, where previously his belongings were.

The mother of all the heartbeats started immediately as he felt a piece of paper inside the right pocket, which he pulled out with force enough to tear it.

"Play along"

He smiles as he takes a long relieving sigh.

"I fucking knew it..."

He murmurs, smirking at the piece of paper when a thought occurs, and he turns it around the other way.

"Your phone is in the fridge, behind your stupid orange juice."

and under that, with the smallest letters possible, that a pencil can write, almost needing a magnifying glass to read it,

"By the way, I reeeally wanted to stay."

"At least she fucking admitted it!"

Suga smiled and bit his lip, thinking that this manipulating little bitch was so cute to write this with such small letters as it could somehow hide her embarrassment.

Like she could hide her feelings from him, but also wanted to show a fragment of her weird personality at the same time.

He sighed, trying to summon his apathetic face again, go inside, and pass unnoticed, but the stupid smile couldn't leave his face. Like that one time that she thought that he had picked her clothes for some reason, even though in reality there wasn't even time to think about what to pack.

"Shit, I have to tell her what happened..." He sighed, but the stupid, rewarding smile was still there.

"Well... Not yet." He smirked and then bit his inner cheek hard, trying to take control of his face, as he went inside to open the fridge and drink some orange juice.

S: I am still, reeeally mad.

-The fucking Sake-

Rain smirked at the message she received but instantly hid her reaction to show an indifferent face.

"Tell them to come in."

She said without the slightest emotion, and Sakai raised from the chair next to her to open the double doors of the meeting room. With a nod of his, the room filled with the members making their way to their accustomed chairs and three bodyguards standing before the closed, tall double doors.

Rain scanned the faces of the nine people, including Sakai, who were all now seated and looking at her as well; most of them narrowed their eyes, except three of them, that were looking down in respect.

Rain lighted a cigarette before saying a word, then noticed the trace of a palm on the ebony table, between her and Sakai. It looked old and worn off but still made a strong presence there, indicating something bad occurred many years ago.

"That's mine."

The man on her left spoke with a mysterious smile.

"Ok, let's do this. Bring in the fucking sake."

She pinched the bridge of her nose and let it seconds after, only to take a drag from her cigarette.

The door opened, and as she said, a man brought a tray containing a small glass for each of them and a big bottle of sake. She looked at the small hand-painted porcelain glasses as she poured halfway up the sake in them, then took the last one for her to fill it completely.

The man that brought the tray waited for her to fill them, then took the tray to serve them, one to each member.

They all got the glass to their right hand, waiting for Rain to make a move first and raise hers. But before she did, she stretched her arms over her head, then stood from her seat to slowly pace around the table without leaving her cigarette behind.

"Wow, you are so... traditional."

She chuckled with irony, amused by the reaction on their faces.

"Before we make this official, I want you all to know that I don't give a shit about what was my mother's relationship with you; for me, you are all just business associates since you handle half of my assets and nothing more."

She scanned all of them, tracing their faces, to see who would show any emotion of dispute.

"Let's see... One raised eyebrow, two raised eyebrows, three raised eyebrows..." She counted them slowly, pointing her finger at them with a smirk.

"Hmmm, I think I'm counting this wrong..."

She said as she dropped her cigarette on the floor, then stepped on it to put it out with her shoe, before pulling her pocket knife out. Then she raised it and held it as a pointer, to count with it.

"Let's go again."

Her smirk enlargened, making the corners of her lips to take an upturn.

"One raised eyebrow, two... no one else?"

She scanned them again, but their faces this time were frozen; only a smirk of approval from Sakai's face was coming towards her. The two that were still surprised immediately dragged their stare to the floor to show their obedience.

"So if anyone else has any other opinion to express, better do it now. Otherwise, you can shove your opinions where the sun doesn't shine. And to be honest, if you want, you can leave, cause I really, don't give a shit."

She moved back to her position and gulped down the sake like it was a shot before leaving the meeting room. Sakai followed her outside before taking down his sake like a shot as well.

"I'll give you a tour." he smiled with satisfaction.

Rain's eyes widened with his statement before taking the resting bitch face again.

"You think that I will stay here?"

She raised an eyebrow while scoffing ironically, without stopping her steps towards the elevator.

He grabbed her hand, and before letting it go, he took a long blink with a bitter smile.

"I just have one thing in my mind that I can't seem to get out.." He narrowed his eyes at her to search for an answer while pressing his lips into a thin line.

"Don't tell me you are staying there just because of Suga."

Kinda.

"Why on earth would I do that?"

She answered, giving him the most apathetic stare that he had received in his life.

Sakai smirked with satisfaction from her answer, thankful that Suga hasn't told her anything... yet.

So now, he had the delightful pleasure to tell her everything he knows, for his benefit.

"We have a lot to talk about."

He grinned while pressing the 10th button on the elevator.
