Part 10
We spent the night fornicating with abandon. As dawn approached, Andrew lay beneath me, exhausted and panting, while I clung to him, driving myself against him madly, wanting to bring him one final climax before the sun would steal him away from me once more. I treasured the sensation of his sweet length filling me deeply, time after time, as I bent to kiss him. "I love you" *kiss* "I love you, my everlasting paramour- ah!"
Andrew gripped me tightly, driving me down on his impossibly perfect member with an impatient desperation. "My dark huntress, I'm mad for you... Curses, woman!"
Andrew grunted and snarled as he reached his pinnacle, and just knowing that I had taken him to his zenith pushed me past my own limit of love-making. I howled, feeling myself contracting steadily, tapping Andrew of still more of his human semen, safe in the condom.
As I collapsed against Andrew's chest and my tongue reflexively lolled out, caressing his jugular longingly for what must have been at least the thirtieth time that evening, I giggled. Andrew looked down at me, breathing heavily while grinning widely, and so beautifully! "What is it, poppet?"
It took a moment for me to stuff my tongue back in my mouth. "I was thinking what marvelous inventions these condoms are-"
Andrew's smile widened further. "That only reminds me how clever you are to have been so well prepared, my darling!" He gently patted me on the thigh, prompting me to move, so that he could dispose of the little coital aid, full of his precious spend. Strange devices, but useful. They were ensuring Andy's body stayed free of my infection, allowing me to be with Andrew as a lover. I gasped as he withdrew, suddenly keenly aware of the emptiness where he had been. Even as a human, Andrew was incomparable.
I was all too conscious of the swiftly dwindling hours of the night. "Andrew, we have little time. We need to bathe, and quickly. Both of us should be dressed by dawn. It wouldn't be proper-"
Andrew's eyes flashed; I could have sworn I saw a hint of his old, vampiric pink, and his nostrils flared. "You have no idea what Andy has put me through! (Y/N), I want to stay with you, be by your side! Instead, I have to return to being nothing but an observer! A bystander, a spectator to life, to Andy's life, specifically; watching him make his choices, having no say! Watching him be in love! I despise it!"
I reached to try and calm him, but he shook me off. "No! I will not be swayed, (Y/N)! I realize it's not Andy's fault, the way things are. But he'll survive regaining control as a naked man that needs a shower, when I have the rest of the life he and I share to look forward to, suffering as a mere passenger without the woman I love!"
Andrew's lip quivered almost imperceptibly as he crawled back into the bed next to me. "Just hold me, poppet, eh?"
I nodded, toying absently with one of Andy's necklaces, trying not to let on how upset I was as well. "Even when I am not physically there to hold you, because I have no place in Andy's human life... know that you will never leave my thoughts, Andrew. My love for you is truly eternal, and I will wait for you beyond the bounds of mortality-"
Andrew moved some of the hair from my face. Abruptly, he seemed rushed. "-No words can suffice to express all I wish to say, words fail me, (Y/N), they are inadequate-"
Seeing that the sky began to lighten at the window, I began to panic. I gripped Andrew's fine, warm, human face, frightened that he would change before I could confess my love one last time."-There are no words! I love you, Andrew-"
Andrew began to cry his clear, human tears silently, though he still smiled. I didn't know it, but I did the same with my own, slightly bloodier, variety. Andrew's expression grew a little pained and he pulled me a bit closer. "-As I love you! I swear I will never stop until I am by your side once again!"
We kissed, and it was a passionate kiss of profound love and desperation. For a night, our greatest hearts' desire had been granted, albeit in the strangest of fashions. But, perhaps, sometimes, love could find a way, against the odds, when it was strong enough?
I heard Andrew let out a small sob as he pulled away sharply, hiding his face behind his hands, seemingly in despair. I reached for him, to comfort him, but he shied away, still covering his eyes. "No-no, I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! It's Andy! I'm so sorry!"
I recoiled as though he had struck me while his voice ran through my head. Andy. I looked out the window, and, indeed, saw the first rays of the morning sun.
