Michael's heart fluttered as he arose that morning.

Michael: Next week..

He said softly, taking in the thought. Michael stayed in bed and thought about everything.

Michael: Maybe I will fall in love in two months.

He thought as his door was opened. Grace walked inside, set the tray down the bed, and quickly tried to make an exit.

Michael: Good morning Grace.

Michael said in a calm tone, stopping Grace directly at the doorway. Grace gripped onto the wooden doorway and looked to the side.

Grace: Good morning Prince Michael.

Grace said in a dull tone, then walked out of the door towards the kitchen once more. She got the broom, and swept the palace clean. She went back and mopped it. Then she went to the china cabinet and polished every dish and silverware. She delivered the food to the King & Queen this time and went to make up the beds in every room. The first room that she made was Michael's room to get it over with. She looked around to see no one in sight and proceeded to do her job. She made his bed and walked out of the door. Then she went to Janet's room.

Janet: Good morning Grace!

Janet said in her usual cheerful voice.

Grace: Good morning Princess Dameta.

Janet looked concerned and gave Grace orders.

Janet: Grace, come here please.

Grace walked over to Janet and stood before her.

Grace: Yes, your grace?

Janet: Sit down.

Janet said patting the bed. Grace sat down and responded once more.

Grace: Yes your grace?

Janet: Why are you so dull?

Grace can't lie. She promised to remain truthful, loyal, and faithful to the Jackson Family.

Grace: I cannot lie to you, and I will not lie. But please promise me that you will not tell anyone.

Janet nodded.

Janet: I promise.

Grace sighed.

Grace: I-.. I like Prince Michael but he is in love with Princess Lisa of Norway. I am happy that he wants to see her again but I am saddened that he may want to marry her. But I am only a servant, it was never meant to be in the first place.

Janet looked at Grace with a serious expression.

Janet: Is that why you waltz alone in the ballroom?

Grace's eye widened.

Grace: You've seen me dance?

Janet nodded.

Janet: All the time and you are very good. I already knew that you liked him but he's clueless when it comes to love. You always glow after you encounter him.

Grace: I didn't realize that I made it that obvious. Does he know?

Janet: Not a clue. But I must give you something when you come back here.

Janet said giving Grace her laundry.

Grace: Yes your grace.

Grace went and did the laundry and some other chores. Then she went back up to Janet's room.

Grace: Princess Dameta?

Janet: Take these clothes, I can't fit them.

Grace: You mean that I can have them?

Janet: Yes you may.

Grace: Thank you your grace.

Grace said bowing and leaving her room. Grace put the clothes in her room and went back to the kitchen. Grace went through the back door to get to the barn. She fed the animals and went to the garden. Grace laid there on the ground and messed with the grass. She didn't pay any attention to her surroundings and let the wind lay across her body. Grace was thinking about was to become of her life if the Prince were to be married. The wind blew her dress up as she heard her name being called.

Michael: Grace?

Grace quickly sat up and looked around but found no one around.

Michael: Grace!

It was closer this time and Grace quickly stood up.

Grace: Yes your grace?

Michael appeared behind Grace and startled her.

Michael: There you are.

He said making Grace quickly turn around.

Grace: Yes I am here.

Michael: I must ask you something.

Grace: Yes your highness?

Michael: Why were you acting strange this morning?

Grace: I beg your pardon for this morning, I was upset.

Michael: It's alright. Why were you so upset?

Grace: I-.. It was nothing important.. At least not to you..

Michael: What do you mean?

Grace: I'm sorry, I don't mean to bring my troubles to you.. It is not important.

Michael: Tell me.

Prince Michael ordered.

Grace: Prince I-.. No..

Michael looked at Grace and was upset. He remembered what she had said to him the day they met.

Grace: You need not know my troubles.. I must go now.

Grace got up and left the Prince in the Garden by himself.

Michael: You can get into great trouble for this!

Grace didn't listen to the Prince. What was her life worth living for if the Prince were to be married to another girl?
Michael stood there in the garden confused. Why was Grace acting so vile towards him?

Michael: Grace!

Grace was already gone out of sight by then and he was left to wonder.
